The overall interior and fixtures could use a little upgrade, but they work well all the same. You receive an actual key, not a keycard, so be mindful of that. Staff was friendly in person, but I would have to suggest not sending any messages through the site, as mine went unanswered. Just call and speak to someone directly is beat. Really appreciated the 24 hour front desk service! Would book a room here again for sure.

It was near to Hoehyeon subway exit 1 and Namdaemum Market. The room we stayed in needed some repainting as it was a bit gloomy. The bed and pillow are comfy .Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Decent for a place to lay your head

It was good. the bathroom looked old and somethings were cracked, and the tv's channels did not work at all. But aside from that it wasn't bad. It is close to the subway.

Good value

We had a great time. The front desk staff, particularly Mr Han were very helpful. The area is very authentic. The room was comfortable. The only problem: the nearby subway closes fairly early. We arrived late, and b the time we got to Seoul Station, our subway stop was closed. We had to figure out how to get to the New Korea hotel with all our luggage. Otherwise, buses and subways were frequent and easy to use.

Old and not well serviced

Old and completely basic service (like hostel). Staffs have serious difficulties in understanding English. Although the location is good, there are several options near the area having better room conditions and service. Not recommend this hotel at all.

Surroundings: Great, alley-way, very short walking distance to restaurants, close to city attractions Car Parking: very limited, tight spaces (larger vehicles not recommended) Check-in: smooth, card no key (have to leave both card and car key with front desk when not in hotel) Room: quiet, clean, modern, but a little small for 3 adults; AC nice and cold, no tissues in the room, free water bottles in fridge; window was right next to adjacent building so useless Bathroom: clean, adequate sized, but low ceiling, water hot and pressure good, generous toiletries provided, bath-sized towels Breakfast: was supposed to be free but none was provided! (they discontinued service) Miscellaneous: hotel staff was very knowledgeable and helpful

A decent hotel for the price

Pretty standard hotel in Korea. nothing fancy, but serves the purpose. Just off Hoehyeon Subway Station about 300 meters which is only one stop away from Seoul Station. Keep in mind taxis are tough to get here because they dont like the short drive to Seoul Station so expect to take subway, luggage and all. Service was great, friendly and helpful. Hotel is showing its years but the effort was made to keep it clean.

Near Namsan & Skywalk

In the Shadow of the giant "T Mark Grand Hotel" and just a couple hundred yards from the Hoeyeon (Hay-yawn) Metro station, sits the New Korea Hotel. It's nice and clean with a helpful staff and free breakfast if you like. The Namdaemun Market is a short walk away - nothing like this back in Ohio! The giant Seoul Station is the next Metro stop to the east - a primary transfer point and also where you catch all the trains. I stayed here an extra day because it was so convenient and priced right. Good luck!

Old hotel and not clean

The room was old and smoking is permitted so the smell is terrible since you arrive. The ONLY thing I truly recommend id the location, the rest I personally did not like it. They didn’t chance the sheets and the bathroom is a mess as it does not have curtains to cover when you are taking a shower.

First visit to seoul

Being my first visit and not really knowing Seoul..only from reading blogs and looking at maps, the location of this hotel can't be any better. you are a minute walk to the subway and a stop away from Seoul Central station and myeongdong. this in itself gives you excellent connectivity to shopping, airport lines etc etc. My only gripe was with the hotel staff. they could be friendlier and could be more helpful. otherwise, it is small rooms but clean. The shower lacks a curtain so be prepared to shower sitting in the bath or have wet floors. for the price I paid, fantastic.

Nice close to many places of interests&train statn

So delighted to have the train station within walking distance, great with the Life (for my elderly mum in travel pushchair). - It was great to have a good comfort bed even the room (indeed) smaller than expected. - Staffs are friendly; very patient especially when we travel with my elderly mum in travel pushchair. - The near by restaurants & eateries are serving local food with great choices. Overall experiences are great.

Affordable hotel & walking distance to Myeondong

The hotel just located nearby the Hoehyeon mrt station, exit 1 & 2. It takes about 5 minutes walking distance to Myeongdong. However, the room is quite small compare to what i have been thought about and never provide toothbrush so you have to prepare by your own.

Great hotel for its price

Very happy with my stay here. Room is small but cosy, looks a little old but very clean. Location is great, less than 5 minutes walk to Hoehyeon station, which is 1 station away from Seoul station, and 1 station away from myuengdong (you can actually walk over). Staff are very friendly, and checking in and out was very fast. Check in time should be 3pm, but as the room was already available, we were able to check in at 2pm. Room service is everyday, with new towels and complimentary water provided. Only lesser point is that check out time is quite early, so do take note. And breakfast range is limited, but still sufficient (bread, buns, eggs, bananas and cereals). Will definitely stay here if I come to Seoul again.

Booked hotel through Expedia and check-in and check-out process is quick. Room is cleaned and toiletries replaced every day. They also provide complimentary bottled water. Overall, our stay was a very comfortable one. Staff are nice. Not to mention free breakfast served every morning.
