I made the mistake of using the Mayfield as a base of operations for my business activities in Seoul, instead of staying at a downtown hotel. This was huge mistake since it takes 80-90 minutes to travel to downtown by taxi. Also, it is clearly not a 5 star hotel...3 stars at best.

Thank you for sharing your time at Mayfield hotel. And I really feel sorry that you didn't enjoyed Mayfield hotel. The Mayfield hotel is located nearby Gimpo airport, it takes about 5 minutes from car. As you know Seoul is capital of the republic of Korea, and population is really big. Therefore, even if in Seoul area, you need at least 1 hour by car, that's why we recommend you to take a subway to go to the downtown. Maybe next time you visit Korea, you may take subway as a transport. Thank you!
