The hotel provided us with a warm abode while it was freezing cold outside. The room was cozy and complete with amenities with a fast internet connection to top it all. Negative factor was their free breakfast which was particularly the same menu all thru our 3 day stay there....Their staff were not too accommodating maybe because they can't speak good Englsh. Over-all it was a comfortable place to stay in Seoul.
My colleague and I stayed here from Nov 6-12, 2016. A very clean and quiet hotel with helpful staff. Our special thanks to the manager Mr.Kim who was most helpful in suggesting local places to visit and explaining patiently how to get there. The room and bathroom were very clean and well maintained. Good hot water in the shower (since it was pretty cold when we were there). Although there is a electric kettle and mini fridge, there is only green tea provided. However, coffee is always available at the breakfast area throughout the day. The breakfast was simple and nice: White bread, boiled eggs, ham, chicken soup, cereal, juice, milk and some fruit. They did fry some eggs for my friend when he requested them. Excellent wifi, there is a modem in each room, can connect with any number of devices and there was never any interruption. The only minor problem was no closets. But there was plenty of space for our luggage on the tables so we weren't bothered by it too much.
My daughter and I traveled there in June for a conference and the M. Biz is only two short blocks from the CC. The staff was excellent, the breakfast excellent. And it being a small hotel, you got to know everyone staying there, which was very nice. When we checked in, our mini fridge and shower didn't work, and they offered to change our rooms, but in the end, after they fixed the shower, (quite promptly) we decided not to move. The AC worked tremendously, so much so we had to turn it off at night, and we didn't miss the fridge at all. But the staff were very very accommodating. To give you a comparison, my daughter's boss stayed at a high end hotel and his room was smaller than ours and his AC didn't work, but ours was half the price and excellent. One must realize that the rooms in big overseas cities are small, but you aren't in it all the time. The bathroom was one of those where the shower drain is in the center of the bathroom, and the shower door is just a glass jut-out from the wall, but there are plenty of hooks on the wall for your stuff. You must realize again that this is normal. My sister in England lived in a house with this. I've traveled extensively and this kind of bathroom is very common, so be prepared. I can't say enough about the staff. They were so incredibly helpful, even writing down in Korean what we were looking to eat at a local restaurant. There is a great one, literally around the corner. The staff exchanged money, offered advice, helped with translations, so our stay there was by far one of the best travel experiences of my life. Seoul is a very safe city and I would return to the M. Biz in a heartbeat. Thank you!
I spent a week while attending a conference at COEX in July. Very good value for the money taking into account the overall price range for the area. This is a small hotel that can be compared to Ibis but I think it is better. The room was adequate in size and while the furniture was minimal it did have a decent size working desk and chair. The free WIFI is good and reliable. There is a refrigerator in the room where bottled water is provided for free daily. Room was very clean as well Breakfast was simple but sufficient and with all the basics one expects from it. I would make the coffee a little stronger for my taste but this is subjective. As other visitors mentioned, the staff is very friendly and eager to help. They even washed my clothes for free. The location is on a little street right behind the Golden Tower and the nearest metro station is Samseong on L2, From there, it is a 7-10 min walk to the hotel. About 6 min walk to COEX West Gate. Plenty dining options nearby including a Dunkin Donuts right around the corner from the hotel. Overall, a great experience and I will certainly consider staying there again,
I stayed at M.Biz for one week while attending a conference at COEX. If you're looking for a decent, well-priced option near enough to walk to COEX, this is a good option. It's a 10-15 minute walk. The manager is extremely friendly and helpful. He assisted on several occasions with advice on tours, local attractions and ensured our stay was pleasant. The bed was comfortable, the room clean, the bathroom facilities were fine. Bottled water is provided free-of-charge each day. Breakfast each day was decent as well. The range of options isn't huge, but it is adequate. The hotel is a little difficult to find at first, so make sure you have the full address for the taxi from the airport or else a decent map/GPS app on your mobile device if you're using the bus or subway. The wi fi is free and reliable. My sleep quality would have been better if the window blind was thick enough to block out light from the building next door (lights left on all night making my room light as well). Some additional curtains or different (block-out blinds would fix this.
I saw some reviews and then booked this place for my family for 4 nights. The price for which they could accomodate 3 of us in one room (1 queen size bed and one single bed) could not be found in any place nearby. Although not visible from main road, its not difficult if you ask people around. (the tip for finding out is its just behind GOLDEN TOWER in the lane) Golden Tower is about 36 storey building on main road. Samseong ro) The road coming from coex crossing this this road Samseong ro 95 and then first left teheran 79 gil. The rooms were small but compact. Friendly staff, Courteous and helping staff. I had delayed baggage arrival so they provided all help in calling to airport and coordinating. The boy named Kim on rception speaks good english and tries to help. One lady who cooks is very considerate to make speacial dishes. The breakfast finishes at 9:00. The lady on night duty cant speak english but helping. She helped in cooking noodles for my son late in night and smiling all the time. No wardrobe, No latch in bathrooms are the drawbacks. But overall it was a pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend people who have limited budgets.
Stayed here from June 3rd to June 7th. We stayed at the 5th floor and it was quiet and peaceful. They have a 24 hour front desk and they speak English. :) For the hotel price, Breakfast was okay. It had eggs, dumplings, cereal, ham, cheese, bread, and salad. Stayed here with just one companion but the room was big enough for 3 people. We had free bottles of water everyday and our room was cleaned everyday wih fresh new towels. It's near Dunkin Donut and CU as well so the location was pretty good. :)
This was my first visit to the Gangnam-gu area of Seoul. I took the train to Seoul Station, and then got on the subway. I strongly advise NOT taking a taxi to Gangnam, too far and expensive. Instead, take subway line 4, transfer at Sadang Station to line 2. Then take line 2 to Samseong Station and go out exit 5. Turn slightly to the right, walk past Hyundai Dept Store, cross the street and keep heading straight toward the next big intersection. You will see Korea Exchange Bank (KEB), 447 building, and Posco. Cross the street from KEB to 447, turn right, walk past the Golden Tower bldg to the corner (small street). Do not cross, go around the corner to the left. Walk a short distance, and go to the left again. M. Biz will be directly across from the rear of the Golden Tower bldg. It is only about a 10-12 minute walking distance from Samseong Station exit 5. There is a business center with 2 computers, printer, and copy machine on the 2nd floor. The Front Desk is also on the second floor. The free breakfast is served in the dining area on the second floor from 07:30 thru 09:00. It contains both hot and and cold items, Western and Korean food. There is free internet access and wifi. The flat screen TV was much larger than expected. Additionally, the room had a water pot with 2 cups, refrigerator, AC, hair dryer, toiletries, slippers, and 2 wooden hangers. I was also very impressed with the overwhelming friendliness of the manager and staff. The staff can speak Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean. At the time I stayed at the M. Biz, I was attending a conference at the COEX, which is about a 5-7 minute walk. CALT, which has transportation to nearby Gimpo and Incheon Airports, is located between the COEX and the Hyundai Dept Store, very convenient for international travelers.
I was at the hotel for 5 nights in June (18th to 22nd) and it was unbelievably desirable and intimate. The behavior of all staff and the manager was so respectful and supportive. The services were satisfactory and the location of the hotel, despite its hard address when you want to find it for the first time, is excellent. it is really worthy for what you pay for your stay. I will surely consider booking this hotel if I decide to see Seoul once again.
Affordable, clean and well-located hotel with friendly staff. You get free wifi (very fast) and a free breakfast every day. My room (standard double) had a double and single bed in it and was small but comfortable. The shower has the best hot water I've had in ages. Only downside is that there were only 3 hooks on the wall and two coathangers to hang all the things that needed hanging. Also no iron. For people used to western toilets I recommend not hitting the buttons on the side of the toilet unless you are standing well back. Toilet paper needs to go in a bin next to the toilet but as they clean the room every day, this isn't a problem. My room also came with a 'simple descending lifeline' in case of fire. I'm fairly sure it was assembled incorrectly though so thankfully I didn't have to put it to the test. There's a stairwell as well as an elevator, so I'd be using that instead. It's only a 5-10 minute walk in a fairly straight line to the COEX centre, a huge mall, the subway, and an airport bus terminal, where if you are lucky enough to have your airline on their list, you can check in before you even leave the city. The door to the hotel never closes and there are literally always staff a the reception, but you can bypass them using the elevator to go straight to your room. The area is very safe, and as a solo woman traveller I felt no qualms about walking too and from the hotel at all hours. I also recommend going to Super Coffee just around the corner to get your morning cuppa. It's much cheaper and tastier than the coffee at COEX. There are also restaurants literally in all directions. If I need to be in this area again I would stay at this hotel again in a flash (but I'd bring an iron!).
