Overall excellent location with good service except for the pillows.

Very smooth check-in, quiet room, perfect location!!

very nice hotel ...the staff was really nice they try to do there best to make your stay comfort

Stayed for one night to celebrate anniversary with the wife. Room was the a deluxe in the main hotel. Temperature was too hot and the AC did not work properly. The furnishings were dated-- think Best Western feel with old cabinets. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean with a nice shower and the 5 star sparkly look. The swimming pool was quite an awkward experience with an older gentleman wearing an Adidas tracksuit ordering my wife and I to put on a swimming hat and to take a shower. I believe that customer service could def be improved in this area. I felt that I was being observed and scrutinized the whole time at the pool which unfortunately is not acceptable to me. The sauna is not exactly geared towards Americans possibly due to some cultural differences concerning nudity. I left when I was told to remove all of my clothes by another older male in the sauna area. The hotel is not bad. It's just that I know there are better hotels in Seoul at this price point such as those located in the Samseong area. Sorry.

It had been a while since I was in Seoul. A friend of mine who had traveled there frequently suggested the Lotte Hotel for the best central location. All the different shopping venues are less than 15 minute subway ride from Lotte Hotel. I had met up with my wife in Tokyo and flown to Seoul for a few days for her birthday. It was a great pleasure to stay at this hotel. We had a room on the club floor and took advantage of the included breakfast and afternoon tea on a number of occasions. From the time we entered the hotel to when we left, the service was extraordinary. (We live in Hawaii, so know how good service can be at resort locations at for instance the Halekulani or St Regis). The front desk staff and especially the concierge staff were exceptional. One of the supervisors in particular who spoke English, Japanese and Korean was so helpful and attentive in recommending restaurants, places to go, providing directions on a daily basis, that we offered to help her anytime she visits Hawaii. We came to understand the Lotte commitment to great service while looking at the history of Lotte Hotels in the history room off the hotel lobby. I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seoul that appreciates great service.

I highly recommend the Lotte Seoul Hotel. The entire staff (front desk, housekeeping, bell hops/desk, and etc ) was awesome. Room was clean and neat. They all spoke English fluently which was a plus as my Korean wasn't up to par. The location is perfect and convenient to all tourist sights, shops, and eateries. Best part is that the hotel connects to the metro station line #2. They also have a shuttle bus to take you to Itaewon, Cheongdamdong, and COEX. Overall my stay was wonderful and will definitely stay with Lotte Hotels from now on.

My first impression of the hotel was very favorable it's a great location as others have reported for a relatively budget price and the hotel staff were for the most part exceptionally courteous and friendly. I was originally planning to change hotels after my first week in Seoul but I had such a busy schedule I extended my stay three times. The first time I extended my stay using the hotel's computer with no problems. The second time the hotel website said to contact the hotel directly to book a room and the price listed for my room was the same. But when I went to the front desk to extend my stay they quoted me a price which was 20 higher than advertised on their website. I explained that the hotel website showed a different price so the attendant asked me to show them, which I did using the hotel's computer. The person helping me said they would take care of it, which I understood to mean I would be charged the price advertised on the hotel's website, but then they proceeded to charge me the extra 20. When I pointed this out I was told that was the best price they can offer. When I reiterated that the hotel's own website was advertising a lower price, which was the regular rate, and not an internet special, which I had just showed them, the response I received was you are already staying in the lowest price room in this wing of the hotel, which of course had nothing to do with the fact that they were charging me 20 more than their own website advertised for the room. After I paid for my room, I received a message from the front desk saying I needed to move rooms. Apparently a large group had arrived and they wanted me to move to another wing. I told them I already paid for my room and refused to move as the whole reason I extended my stay was that I was just too busy to pack and move hotels. Eventually they conceded but this was just too much for me. Needless to say when I returned home my credit card company reversed the additional 20 that I was charged by the hotel, but I had to spend time sending them evidence to document the case which was a major waste of time and not what you want to have to do right after returning home from a trip. In summary, you will probably enjoy your stay at this hotel if you don't encounter the above issues, as otherwise my stay here would have been great, but I personally would not risk staying here again.

Great base hotel. Staff were wonderful. Easily accessible subway and stores. However, executive lounge needs better food selection and service. Bathroom needs improvement. When taking showers, water will collect outside which makes it uncomfortable. Nice to have separate door for toilet though. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

love everything about it! convenient location, clean, nice, and friendly people! I would recommend this place to everyone traveling with kids and family. Eash duty free shop, which we all loved!

Great location with knowledgeable staff. The hotel is located in the middle of Seoul and is easily accessible to many great attractions. The fact that the Lotte shops are within the hotel made for an even better stay.

We were only staying one night in Seoul. This was the place to be. Anywhere we wanted to go was within walking distance.

We reserved a room with a King size bed and got a standard bed. When queried about this the staff said this was a King bed. I told them no way. Need to get bed size definition correct. Room was small. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The locaion is very good. The Lotte Department Store is next to the hotel. I bought something from the department supermarket as it was very heavy. I asked them to deliver to my room. I could get them in a very short time. The hotel staff is very helpful, friendly and smart.

We reserved a king bed, however, it was not a western king size. The meals and drinks were outrageously priced. We had at least equal quality rooms for much less price in other parts of town.

I booked a Deluxe Twin bedroom and was given the Ladies Deluxe Twin bedroom thats located on the ladies floor thats strictly for ladies. Equipped with an afternoon-tea-like lounge in front of the elevator where ladies could just catch up enjoying food or drinks (not provided) enjoying the view by the fireplace on a cozy sofa. The room decor and color palate itself was designed for ladies complete with the ladies amenities and needs. I opened ip a drawer to look for a hair dryer but found more; pink curling iron, pink flat iron, pink powerful 2100 hair dryer, and a nice hair brush. Foot spa and some other body pampering stuff too were available to borrow. The room also had a dvd player, remote controlled drapes, internet base controller that controlled the lighting sound telephone etc. Location couldnt get any better! Attached to Lotte Dept store, food court with overwhelming options was right underneath us. That explains why i didnt buy the room with the breakfast. I was told the train station was on the basement floor underneathbhe hotel too but i didnr get to ride the subway at all since i was travelling woth my elderly mom and seoul taxi is very affordable. Across the street is Myeung Dong! These 2 reasons alone were enough for you to stay at this hitel. Staff were all very polite and nice! I cant think of any cons now.

This hotel was amazing! The location doesn't get any better, the staff is incredibly helpful, the spa facilities and driving range were top notch and we had a great view from our room. My husband and I wouldn't stay anywhere else on our next trip.

Great location near Myeongdong, great facilities and friendly staff, room was clean, neat yet small for what I paid for...

Very good location, the staff is very helpful. Highly recommend.

The hotel was very beautiful and clean with friendly staff. The only changes needed is in the executive lounge. For a five star hotel they have poor choices of finger foods. They need more selection and hot meals such as chicken satay, salads, fresh egg roles, etc like in other five star hotels. The bar selection was very good. If they could improve on the food selection it would be perfect.

There is no lack of things to do or see in a 10 block area. Three days time would be perfect just to take in all the activities, and sample some of the unique qualities of Korean life. Beware the energy level here though. It is high for the jet-lagged traveller. The cost of buffet and amenities is a tad high, especially if you are not traveling alone. Free Wifi is a plus, except sometimes it doesn't work in lobby. And the toilets are space age, with more blinking lights than my BMW.
