Stayed here for one night. Dirty hotel. Half used shampoo and hand soap. Used hair brushes. Really hard uncomfortable bed. I requested a non smoking room. Room smelled like smoke. Loud alarm in the morning . No cloest for your clothes. Worst hotel ever only booked because a friend booked it. Dark and creep hallways. I didn't even shower I waited untill I got home to shower. Checked the bed for bugs because it didn't look safe to sleep in. Almost slept in my car lol . Not worth $100. Should of cost $50 . Thank you for reading
A pleasurable surprise when i arrived to this hotel, maybe its because i didn't expect much but wow did this hotel really make a good impression on me. It was clean, quiet, and the guest agents were always there to help you when you needed assistance.
I love this hotel, it's a hole in the wall and you wont notice it from the main streets, but it is a great rooms for great prices. Every room is a different theme but they all have a great feeling to them. you have all your amenities, warm floors, comfortable beds, flat screen tvs (sometimes more than one) complimentary coffee or juice, just everything you could want in a one night hotel. oh the suites are even better. We tried to go to an expensive hotel in korea and they didnt compare to this one. It's great because it's in the middle of seoul and you can just walk out of your room and the train station is walking distance.
It seems like there is only one guy who speaks English well, I found him working the desk in the evening. The room was clean and large, our room had a time theme. The toilet handle had come off and the bathtub did not drain very well. The adjustable shower head did not stay in place. We didn't book in advance, but showed up and got a discounted rate of 50,000 KRW (this is Oct off-season). Make sure you map this place out from the metro, because you will need it! The area is full of alleyways and you can get lost easily if you don't know your way. If you're exiting Shinchon station, you will need to take Exit 7 and cross the major road in front of you and walk up a sloped alleyway. Beside the Metro Exit 7, you will find street and mall shopping with very cheap clothes. Nearby is the Hyundai Department Store which has a number of upscale brands. There are numerous food places within walking distances.
Located amongst numerous love motels, La Nuit is an okay place and better than others we looked at in the neighborhood but is not a stellar bargain. We paid in advance (internet) for one week about $ 475 US. Breakfast is included; convenient but unimaginative and boring with the exact same offerings each day. Room was small and barely met our standards for cleanliness. Staff at front desk friendly but very limited English and prone to spend the day sleeping. Later in Seoul we upgraded to a far nicer place but at a 20% increase! Location isn't too important, as the Seoul metro system is so extensive and so efficient that you'll never be far from a station.
I stayed here for 7 nights with my grandmother. We stayed in the superior junior suite which was huge. It had a big jacuzzi with a tv. There were two computers in the room and a really large TV but I couldn´t figure out how any of them worked. The window had no glass which was weird. It was doors and a mosquito net. It must be really dark and claustofobic in winter. The room oposite ours was bigger and every night a new party checked in to it and sang karaoke. They were not even trying to be a little discreet wich makes me think that this kind of behavior was ok here. The reception staff was very tired and did not spoke many words in english. Good things about this hotel was that it was clean, it had free wi-fi, great location and free popcorn. Price was good to but I will nor stay here again.
Me and my family had stayed in this hotel for 4 nights, it is a hotel with easy access... just 2 mins walk from the metro station to the hotel, but the hotel is a bit OLD, and with some pornographic sites around, it makes the location a bit complicated, but I can say, go back to hotel at very late night its still safe, and with that amount of price (around USD$ 65 per night), it is a reasonable hotel to stay. With the nice and helpful staff, it is a good one.
The Shinchon La Nuit Hotel is an interesting study in conflict: -- On the one hand, it is generally rather dark with small rooms, no safe, NO CLOSET (at all), a bathroom with no privacy and a leaky faucet, a semi-cold fridge and horrible coffee in the lobby. -- On the other hand, in the rooms they provide big bottles of GOOD shampoo, conditioner, perfume, lotions, hair stuff, etc that can be used (not taken) as needed. There are comfortable, clean satin robes for lounging. There is a popcorn machine in the lobby with sweet flavored popcorn (pretty fresh) round the clock! Try it! And the staff was very helpful and accommodating with pretty good English skills. The room is controlled by a single remote that controls the AC (which did not work all that well) and TV. We were confused more than once and had to ask for help. But the staff promptly came up and patiently showed us how to work things. The TV in the room was pretty good with several English channels with some good shows, not just the standard CNN. Finding the hotel at first was a bit of a challenge – it is off on a side street and no signs we could read to help. Either get good directions before you go or carry the phone number with you. We called the lobby and one of the clerks came down to the intersection to meet us (really nice!) There is nothing really compelling about the area around the hotel, but the location is convenient to the metro and the airport shuttle bus (# 6002 – leaves about every 15 minutes and much less expensive than the taxi). All in all, a mixed bag. Good ‘nuff for a quick trip, though probably if we return, we would try a different hotel closer to some of the sites.
