At 12:20am someone knocked on our door while we were sleeping and said they gave us the wrong room so we had to change it. We checked in around 6:30pm but it took them about 6 hours to figure out that we were given a wrong room. I specifically asked where's the bathroom during the check in since I knew we were getting shared bathroom. However wben the employee told us where the bathroom is we were bit surprised because it was a private bathroom instead. Anyway, it was a horrible experience of waking up in the middle of the night and packing everything to switch the room. I've stayed at numbers of hotels and good amount of hostels but by far this was the most unprofessional and had the worst service. While writing this review, I realized during check in, they didn't even ask us for our booking name/info or anything and just took us to our room. Only if they checked our booking info, we wouldn't have to wake up in the middle of the night to switch the room. We were literally thrown outside while they were apologizing to the other customers and reorganizing the room where the other customers already have used. Besides this horrible experience, I still wouldn't recommend this place because it's filthy and the location is pretty shady. It is a cheap place to stay but if you're looking for somewhere as cheap as this place but way better condition then you should go to Myeongdong.

Great for location, bad for noise and room size

Great hostel except for a few things. Our room (and many others) were right off the common area with kitchen and bathroom so it was fairly loud in the morning. We had a double room, which was tiny. It was clean, staff was awesome, breakfast was standard. Location was great. I would stay again if we got a much cheaper rate. With the noise and size of the room it wasn't worth what we paid.

Our stay at Itaewon Backpackers

We had a good experience. Location is close to main streets and army base. Many steps down to it and many steps on site. Limited meeting/meal area in hostel. Hosts were not too friendly or available. Were most concerned about keeping shoes off rather than greeting us. It was clean and warm. Host kept our luggage while we toured the last day which was nice.

Strategic location

As a muslim, I can easily find 'halal' food such as Tukish kebab, Indonesian/Malay food, Muslim Korean kim chi. This place is near to Seoul mosque & Itaewon subway station. Very convenient....I like it

방 좋은데 방음 살짝 안되요.

5인 패밀리룸 숙박했습니다. 전반적으로 무난했고 방 자체는 깨끗했는데 같은 패밀리룸인 옆방에서 코고는 소리가 울려서 벽 옆에 1인침대에서 잔 친구가 잠자기 힘들어했습니다.. 남자분들이 문 열고 다니는 것도 좀 불편했구요. 방이 위치한 1층의 청결도는 나쁘지 않았는데 아침먹으러 3층 부엌 올라갔을 때 부엌 상태는 친구들에게 도저히 올라오라고 할 수 없었습니다... 토스트랑 딸기잼, 땅콩잼이 제공되었는데 기대했던 것보단 조금 실망스러웠어요 ㅠ ㅜ

이태원 백패커스

제가 찾던 식당이나 이태원 동선 짜기도 편리했고, 너무 큰 도로에 있지 않고 골목 안쪽에 있어서 시끄럽지 않게 지낼 수 있었습니다. 게스트하우스로는 손색 없는 정도였고 주인분도 매우 친절하셨습니다. 화장실을 남녀 공동사용 해야 한다는 점이 가장 불편했는데 그 점 빼고는 모두 만족합니다.
