Not worth the price

The condition of the room was not the best. There were stains and scuff marks all over the walls, the floor had pieces missing and there was a bit of mold in the shower. It was also not possible to adjust the heat from the room. It was unbearably warm. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

I had a brilliant stay! Every staff member is super friendly! They understood my broken Korean and most of them spoke English! Special thanks to Kevin, who was fluent in English and spoke wonderfully! I stayed for 7 days. The daily breakfast is WORTH IT! Make sure you get it. A variety of options that runs until 930 AM. I booked the deluxe double. The room I originally had was dim and I could not see my face when doing my make-up so I asked if they can move me to a brighter room, they did it very easily and I was moved the next day! I recommend this hotel because it's modern and clean. It has 3 subway stations nearby, a GS-25 across the street, Co-Ex mall is a short walk, and the area of Samseong is metropolitan but not touristy. I will definitely stay here again! Thanks to everyone for your warm hospitality!

The first night it was 83F in our room. The thermostat does not work. Finally ask the front desk and they have control of the room thermostat and would turn it off. Came back in the afternoon room was at 84F ask again and they said they would shut if off. Didn’t sleep the second night because the room got up to 85F. Asked again how to cool the room and they front desk said there was nothing they could do. We checked out two days early because we could not get the room to cool down at all. :(

It is a design hotel, so presumably every room has a different layout. I liked mine, it was spacious enough. There are not many facilities in a hotel of this categories, but that is to be expected - you get what you pay for. Location is superb if you have business to do in Gangnam.

Not too close to Samseong station or COEX, but it was still within walking distance. Was not able to get the exact room I wanted to stay at, but the room condition was not bad at all.

Good but not perfect... some work can be done

Booked only 1 night due to such tight bookings in the area for the busy weekend of events. I was given a choice of rooms, I took the one I figured best matched my style. The room itself was awesome however my only complaints were the bed was VERY firm and not in the good way. Secondly the TV was having issues with channels so ended up on my iPad watching NetFlix for my night while in. Customer service could use some polishing as there were some instances where I was not getting the service I should have been getting as a guest.

Quite a comfortable hotel

Our overall stay at Hotel the Designers Samseong was great. The staff at the reception were very helpful. The room was quite comfortable and very cool with all the technology (automated toilets :)). However, there was not really any natural light coming in - the room had a very small window which was converted into a mirror. This didn't really bother us since we were not in the hotel much. It would be nice if the bath tub had shower curtains to avoid the whole bathroom getting wet when having a shower. Location was great for us - quite close to the metro station and Coex exhibition centre.

The hotel is difficult to find with a google map. However it’s not far from the COEX and convenient to get to Incheon international airport. The airport bus stop is just in front of the hotel!

Rooms are all unique although not setup the same way. Some rooms are gifted with a hot tub, while others may not even have a standard bathtub which doesn't entirely make sense but overall still a cool concept for a hotel.

The bathroom does not have curtains, so you can't have a shower without splitting water over all bathroom. Rooms are to warm, 30ºC, and you can't change it. Room size quite good, bed was comfortable.
