Great hote with shuttle and good location worth the money huge rooms love it
I had not know anything about Korea but staff tald me so many place and how to go everywhere kindly I really appreciate them.
The hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful. The Triple Room was good-sized, but some of the room design were not user-friendly (e.g., the fridge was inside a closet next to the desk so to open it you have to remove things you have on the desk; safe was small - my 13" laptop does not fit in). The hotel shuttle service was very convenient.
Located in the center of everything. Most tourist locations are within 30 minutes.
Convenient with hotel shuttle bus to mall and famous area
Helpful staff especially the front desk personnels
THE ROOM ARE CLEAN, AND THE STAFF ARE SO NICE TO US.
The hotel is a very nice, modern property with convenient free shuttle around the 2 major shopping districts, Myeongdong and Dongdaemun. It is also less than a 5 minute walk to the airport limo bus stop/Chungmuro subway station or you can take the free hotel shuttle to the bus stop. Staff were very friendly. This is not the 5 star Lotte Hotel, but PJ has an English speaking concierge who was very helpful. I took a premier twin (2 double beds) because it offered a larger room with sitting area. The room was very comfortable and included a tub plus separate shower. The breakfast buffet was also very nice and reasonable for $15. Besides the American staples (pancakes, french toast, various breads, scrambled eggs, sausage) I most enjoyed the Pho (Vietnamese soup), Bibimbap (Korean mixed rice with vegetables) and wonderful fresh fruits. One downside - hotel is located in an older industrial neighborhood and is probably a future target for redevelopment. A few of the cab drivers were not familiar with "PJ Hotel". PJ is actually a nickname for Poong Jun or something like that so be sure to carry the room key holder with the map. Even so, the cab drivers had a slightly difficult time figuring out how to get there. Suggest you write down the real name.
This hotel has spacious room and a nice ocean view. The hotel has 2 management companies under one building on 2 separate floors so there is a slight confusion. The breakfast is in a contracted restaurant on 2nd floor by stairs walking only from 4th floor. The pillow is extra soft and there is only one. These are the only things I found inconvenience and not up to par.
Good location. Easy walk to Insadong, Myeongdong and Dongdaemun for shopping and eating
Got updated to a huge room. Shuttle service is very convenient.
so good n nice for family stay. Especially for teenager.
Pros: Great/abundant staff Great amenities (Free water and espresso every morning) Cons: Location (Shuttle bus almost made up for it) A/C didn't keep the room nearly cool enough Walls were slightly dirty
Liked a lot of room amenities including the jacuzzi in the bath tub, Nespresso espresso coffee in the room, mask pack, etc.
Hotel was first class. Hotel staff and bell men very helpful. Location is okay but with the free shuttle service to the Nondemon market for the day and night fashion districts also gets you to the tours of the city on on the metro.
My family and I stayed at the PJ for 4 nights between 7/6/13 thru 7/10/13. The hotel is modern and well kept but is not in the downtown area. Access to the hotel was a bit confusing for us for the first few days. The airport limo stop is a few blocks away at Chungmuro Subway Station, but after getting dropped off, the hotel is not visible. You must walk down an alley under an overpass to find the hotel. Our rooms were large with 2 twin beds. Climate control was adequate but lacked cooler settings. Beds were firm and had super long pillows. Rooms have a fridge, safe, and a nice balcony which was great for hanging laundry to dry. Complementary daily water bottles was nice. Bathrooms were adequate but lacked counter space. Toilets were equipped with bidets with a dryer! Light controls are on the telephone, which was a bit confusing at first. Wireless internet is free and the speed is very good. Hotel service is good and staff all spoke some English. The Hotel provides free shuttle service to some of the popular areas in Seoul, and outdoor staff were very helpful recommending taxi, shuttle, or subway to get to points of interest. There is a convenience store next to the hotel and some local mom and pop places to eat around the hotel, including a fried chicken cafe down the block. If you walk up the alley to the subway station, you'll find many more modern style cafes and restaurants. We did not eat in the hotel restaurants. In conclusion, we enjoyed our stay at the PJ after we got oriented to it's location. The hotel rates are terrific and we would consider staying again on future visits to Seoul.
The hotel itself is very comfortable, the staff is very helpful. The hotel is nearby a subway station and airport shuttle (5 mins walk) the surrounding areas is quite messy, like a old market. Nearby there are a lot of printing companies. After walking to the Main Street, near subway station, everything is very nice, like a city. There is many shops, restaurant and a theater. If I were to go back to seoul, I would consider to come back. P.s. the hotel itself is really nice. I rented a family suite. With three beds, the room was really big and had a balcony.
Very clean hotel, friendly staff, city transportation very close to hotel, the hotel also provide shuttles but i did not have to use them, train station/subway very close. Food at the hotel was very good. This was my first time in South Korean, my experience there was fantastic, i would stay at this hotel again without hesitation. No complains from me. Thanks PJ staff.
I really liked the convenience of the location - they offer shuttle service to specific locations during the day. Also, walking distance to Chung-muro station. And shuttle stop at the airport bus stop for those who need to get back to the airport. On first glance the location looks obscure like it seems hidden but actually, upon staying there it becomes very convenient to get around. The actual hotel itself is also very clean and modern. The front desk is SUPER helpful. Ask them anything and they're fluent in English and Japanese. I heard more foreign languages in the lobby than Korean itself. It isn't super luxury, but it isn't as shabby as an inn either. Highly recommend, especially for younger travellers, who are looking for something pretty nice, without having to dish out the big bucks to stay at something super fancy.
I think this is a good hotel to stay in of your are on a budget. The hotel provides shuttle to the main shopping areas and it is just a 5 minute walk to a main subway station. Also there are many restaurants nearby, convenience store and if you need your coffee fix, there is a Starbucks nearby.
