Terrible location, beds, rooms, the only good thing about it is the price. Better off at a hostel or cardboard box maybe
This is my regular stay in Seoul. It's such an easy, easy place to stay, right by the Seukmyeong Women's University Station subway (also next to Namyeoung). The place is a short jog from Namsan, a short walk from the friendly Aroma Hair Salon (where I always get a happy cut). The rooms have everything you could need- a full room kit awaits you, with all the toiletries, plus condoms, and 2 cans of juice and 2 bottles of spring water. Everything goes well there. Full recommendation. (Also, if you speak Chinese, the daytime receptionist speaks Chinese- which helps for me). Cheers~
My husband and I enjoyed our stay here! It was near local places of business- great for last minute stuff. The location was near the public transportation. The staff all used great manners and it was a joy to find complimentary water and juice in our mini fridge!
I booked this hotel because yes it was cheap but $80 in the US would get you very far.. but this was not a good hotel at all. The pics on this site was deceiving. When I arrived I was greeted with this snotty receptionist.. and the room was like a poor family's room.. I guess this used to be a motel.. well it still is.. they shouldn't change the name to a hotel... The bathroom had a shower with no walls or curtains.. just a shower head and a bucket. the room was so small there was no room to walk.. it was ugly.. I was on a vacation and did not want to stay in that kind of hotel so I bit the loss of money and booked another hotel (hilton)
This place is a little hidden (a block behind pizza hut), but it is only a 3 minute walk to Sukmyung Women's University metro station. The room is tiny! There are no closets or drawers to put your stuff in. you will probably have to live out of your suitcase. There was a 42" tv and a computer. The room was clean but had a faint smell of cigarette smoke. Complimentary water and soda in the fridge that they refill. They also have outlet converters if you ask. The front desk is very friendly and will help you out with any questions about directions or destination. If you just want a place to keep your stuff and spend the rest of your time exploring Korea, than this is a great bargain. There are plenty of places to eat around the hotel and in Korea in general. There is a US army base right across the street. Probably a good place to go if the North ever actually tries to do something. :)
We loved the location of the hotel in that the subway station was at the heart of the city. We loved the complimentary drinks in the mini-fridge, the internet access, cable, and staff was welcoming and friendly. Our friend even said it was better than other hotels in the city (that he's experienced).
There was no english speaking staff so I could not communicate. I actually just slept and checked out early into another hotel at 4 am.
