Hotel MANU3.5 out of 5.0

there were food stores at the lower floors of the hotel, although more suitable for those who like to drink (beer discount vouchers were given by hotel). would have appreciated a convenience store at the lobby
Close to transportation (Seoul Station) and food. Hotel staff were helping and friendly. Room was a tad small but we only used it for sleeping since we were out for most part of the day. Highly recommend this Hotel.
Great area so close to Seoul Station and namdaemun market. Not a far walk to Namsan mountain park. Rooms are very small even for Asia. Didn't try any of the restraunts downstairs but they seemed to be popular especially at night. No parking!!!!! Do not park at university next door. I asked the front desk how much it would be if I parked there and was told about 10000 won a day. That was wrong. Turned out to be 3000 every 30 min. After 26 hours I left there 158,000 won poorer.
Stayed for 3 days. Service was terrible, our family was waiting in the lobby as we had 30 mins till check in and the 2 front desk workers were gossiping and commenting on our clothes and luggage etc. being completely unaware of our Korean nationalities as we were speaking in English. Rooms were clean and had great views, window space is nice and toilets were bright too. A bit cramped but pricewise a good deal. Location was right next to a subway and bus station and 5 mins walk to a shopping centre. Overall would have been a good stay if not for the terrible service from the front desk.
The hotel is conveniently located a few hundred meters from Exit 7 of Seoul Station and also accessible from the pedestrian terrace walkway that is now open. On the first two floors there is a bar, bakery counter, burger/chicken counter, and a pizza counter. I stayed for 6 nights while exploring Seoul and my double sized room was great just for myself. The price is also reasonable.
Amazing idea of connecting the hotel lobby to Seoul terrace. Enjoyed the hotel atmosphere which is very proximity to station and Lotte mart. Walking on the Seoul terrace is a wonderful experience which I cannot forget.
The hotel is quite new and the bed is very nice but no bathtub. Anyway it is not good to walk back at night from exit 7, lot of Homeless people sleep there but have policeman there also. From May 20, if the skywalk finish, you can go to hotel directly and not pass that way.
The hotel was conveniently located near Seoul Station. The lobby was empty due to construction of new restaurant. So, no food available at hotel, but plenty of choices at the Seoul Station. Rooms were small but clean and modern. Air conditioner did not work, so we left the window open for ventilation.
Hotel Manu is very close to Seoul Station. It is very convenient for us when we Seoul by KTX. Walk from KTX Seoul Station towards Subway Line 1, then go towards Exit 7 (about 10 minutes). Exiting from Exit 7, look up and we see a GS Caltex Petrol Station and high view of Hotel Manu just about 100 meters in front. Walk straight pass the hotel building and turn left to the entrance. It is a bit disappointing to see the reception area under renovation. However the reception service and the staff are still first class, nothing to fault. We arrive at around 12.30 pm and they allow luggage storage. Check-in is strictly after 2.00 pm. Namdaemun market is just a 3 minutes walk from the hotel. Moving around Seoul from here a also OK : use Line 1 or 4 to connect. We did not feel at ease when we return around 7.00 pm via Seoul Station. Walking near the Exit 7, we now see both sides of the underground passage lined with people sleeping on cardboard boxes. However, another plus point of this hotel is AREX to Incheon Airport is also from Seoul Station . Just walk there. If you feel like pampering yourself, taxi from Hotel Manu to Incheon Airport costs KRW70,000.
Hotel Manu is affordably priced considering its proximity to Seoul station. The hotel receptionist was friendly and approachable, helping us with any queries that we had. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. Beds were comfortable and not too hard :D Note: Exit 7 of Seoul station has many homeless staying there. Might want to consider taking another exit if you are mindful of the smell. Overall, it was a really enjoyable stay at Hotel Maru. Will definitely stay here again for future visits.
