Easy walk from the subway station, near a starbucks, but if you are lugging around some luggage, you have a very short climb on a short hill. Take your time and you'll get up there. Once there, it is not too far away from subway shopping, fancy malls, local market, Bank of Korea Museum, Tram access to the Seoul Tower, etc...I liked it. Good value for your money.

The servant in the restaurant is very traditional Korean and she even explain all the dishes she serves and humming when she has a little break. I used the soup cup to fill up coffee and she stopped me to change the coffee cup. When I dropped some food on counter she came to tell me not to do it again. She is really interesting and lovely.

Staff very friendly and helpful. They made the stay enjoyable Room clean and nicely designed. Hotel very nice although it was difficult to find. We would recommend this to others who want a reasonable accommodations and would stay there in the future.

Trip Overview: one night layover in Seoul and wanted to see a little bit of the city before heading out (Jan 2014) How I Got to the Hotel: Took the Airport Rail from ICN to Seoul Station (4550 Won), then did a transfer to Line #4 to Hoehyeon Station (1650 Won). I then walked from the station to the hotel. The walk was kinda tough but doable with my 20 kg luggage. I pulled it up a slight incline for a couple of blocks (Toegye-ro 10-gil), pass the 7-11 (on Sogong-ro 3-gil), take a left up a steeper hill, and finally, a flight of stairs to get to the lobby. Note there was an express train from Seoul Station to ICN for 8000 Won, but I took the all-stop train instead. What I did: I had until 11AM on a weekday to walk around, so I took a quick stroll around Namdaemon and Myeondong areas, which are roughly 1-2 blocks away from the Hyeohyeon station. Unfortunately, not too many shops and stores were open, so i just grabbed some coffee and enjoyed my walk around the area. Room: Room was very clean and very warm. Bed was firm like other beds in Asian countries. I had the double room with a window. But even then, the window had a frosted decor, so it wasn't much of a view out the window. Room had a hot water heater, fridge, and a toaster oven (or something like it). Staff: Spoke English quite well. All the staff were very friendly. For the complementary breakfast, just tell the lady how many eggs you want, and she'll make it for you. I had toast and coffee with my eggs. It was nice to have a Western style breakfast there. Hope this helped you out a bit. Have a safe and wonderful trip.

The hotel is located within walking distance to the largest shopping district of Seoul. There is also a nice trail about 30 meters from the hotel which leads to Seoul tower with spectacular views. My main complain is that I couldn't switch off the heating in the room, so it was getting very hot at night (had to wake up several times and open window). The rest was OK -- good for its price.

I came here without ever having been to Asia, jet lagged, unsure where to go and within minutes had a comfy room and directions to one of Seoul's best neighborhoods nearby. Free wifi and breakfast were great too.

Nice hotel at a reasonable location. 5-10 minutes walk to market and busy shopping area. Simple breakfast and if needed, staff is helpful to call taxi for us.
