The architecture is vintage and lovely. The hotel lobby has a pool table, bar, lounge area, and nice dinner tables. The food in the lobby was excellent. The room and bathroom were nice in a dark turn-of-the-century way.

This is a lovely historic property that embraces its vintage appeal. Our room was large, comfortable, and pretty! I loved the antique touches, the large bathroom, and the comfy bed. Breakfast was included and it was better than the usual breakfast buffet. Staff were helpful and kind. Plus, we walked 15-30 minutes to tons of sites. Highly recommended.

Fabulous Historic Hotel

What a great find! We stayed here for a short leg of a longer trip and were not disappointed. The building has been lovingly restored and while it feels like a step back in time, it has all the modern conveniences. The rooms are cozy and inviting, and the staff is simply wonderful. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious, and while we didn't get a chance to enjoy the evening drinks and canapes, everyone present seemed to be having a great time. Please note, there is virtually no reasonable parking in the immediate area, so be prepared to pay for valet parking during your stay! Would happily stay here again if we return to Seattle.

Disappointing

We stayed here as it was rated 9.4. What a joke. Very old and not updated. Everything seemed to be falling apart including poor maid service. Only good thing was complimentary breakfast. And the elevator rug getting to breakfast probably never was cleaned.

Okay and handy for downtown events

Historical relevance was significant to Seattle and Gold Rush era. Close and walkable to most downtown amenities and stadiums. Apparently, it was updated in early 2000's with an antique style decor, which in my opinion needs a deep refresh. The restaurant/bar was very good and enjoyed the food.

Wonderful hotel, priced lower than others nearby

This hotel was extremely nice. The room was quite large and nicely laid out. The lobby was very elegant and done up in a style of the early 20th century. We ate two dinners there, and the food was expensive but delicious. Drinks were also pricey but top shelf and generous. Breakfast was included with the price of the room and was very good. Staff were very nice, starting with the man who greeted me when we first arrived. Parking was valet parking at $65.00 per night, but he pointed out the street parking that was free overnight. We wound up using street parking each night we were there since we were sightseeing during the day. I highly recommend this hotel.
