The Arctic Club is definitely for those who appreciate older-style buildings. The general atmosphere is a little dark, a little drab, but I can see that that would be charming for a lot of people. I wouldn't say we were "charmed" by the look of the hotel, but I will say we were charmed by the service. The housekeeping service was very nice. They re-stocked everything to the fullest, including the ground Starbucks coffee they offer, along with a clean French press, all towels, shampoos, conditioners, soaps, etc. Everything was stocked even if it wasn't necessary to do so. Additionally, the morning we checked out, they held our luggage for us all day, while we wandered Seattle (our flight wasn't until late). We then came back, hung out in the lounge, changed clothes in their lobby restroom.. and no one bothered us. It has a laid-back vibe like that. My only criticism - and that word is a stretch, because again, it's part of the charm - is that I think they could "polish" up the hotel a bit. It's OK if you're going for an antiquated vibe. But it was almost a little too outdated. I saw complimentary water and apples for the guests near the front desk, but not sure if they offered complimentary coffee or tea. I asked, but didn't get a direct answer, so I left it alone. If not, definitely make that available.
I asked a friend that lives in Seattle and she recommended the Arctic Club. Aside from a wonderful and convenient location, i liked the great room and lounge area to relax and plan my day. My room was larger than expected and the bathrooms were upgraded and elegant. It was nice starting my day with a french pressed cup of coffee in the room. Overall, the staff. The room. The location, the attention to detail, and the clam chowder too were all very nice.
Did not have free WiFi. Everything else was Great!
Beautiful place, however beware its an additional $50 a night to park. Reeeeeeally didn't like that surprise.
The property had everything that we needed. It did not have a pool so if traveling with kids you may want to find a hotel with one. The property is older and a little dark but it did not bother us one bit. They kept it up well and our room was spotless everyday! Walking distance to everything.
Beautiful hotel with a unique character and feel. Well placed in downtown Seattle.
Room service was very bad. Ordered breakfast Sunday morning and took over 90 minutes to finally receive, afte we called several times
We had a lovely three day stay at the hotel. The room was quiet and the beds clean and comfortable. The refrigerator was stocked and snacks and other items were available in the room (for a charge, of course, but they were of quality and convenient).
Worked all week in Downtown and stayed at the Arctic. I'm a gym snob and the workout room here was perfect, aside from a few missing free weights.
Nice place to stay. close to a lot of areas. The only thing I would say is that the room I had was very noisy with roof top components.
My sons and I spent a wonderful week in Seattle at the Arctic Club Seattle. First, the staff was amazing, from the front desk to the bartenders and wait staff at the Polar Bar and especially Angelo the concierge. He was so helpful making sure we got to see and do all the wonderful things that Seattle has to offer. The hotel is beautiful and the room was spacious and spotless. We had dinner at the bar and also ordered room service and the food was exceptional. I would highly recommend the fried halibut, delicious! We had a wonderful time in Seattle and the hotel is very centrally located and we were able to walk to many top tourists attractions. We visited the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, the aquarium, EMP Museum, the Great Wheel, a ball game at Safeco Field, a ferry ride to Bainbridge Island, the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum and an amazing seaplane ride. The Arctic Club was our home away from home and we would stay here again when visiting Seattle.
It was an amazing night in that hotle. The services was perfect
My husband and I are Seattleites and stayed in this hotel for a romantic getaway. The room itself was nicely appointed-- we LOVED doing our own French press coffee in the morning, which was delicious. The bathroom had really high-quality fixtures of the type you don't normally see in hotels. In terms of general amenities, it had a nice bar and lounge on the main floor. I didn't see the workout room and there's no pool or spa. The staff was very warm and accomodating. The only thing I'll say is if you're nervous about big cities and questionable neighborhoods, this is probably not the hotel for you. It's on the edge of Pioneer Square and there's a lot of homeless people around. It's right on a major thoroughfare and even from the 7th floor the sirens in the middle of the night are loud. You could park on the street or in a garage, but I wouldn't recommend it, so you have to shell out the $41/night for the valet. Overall it's not bad, but if you're uneasy about safety I would look for a hotel in South Lake Union, Belltown, or closer to the downtown core. The breakfast at Juno was mediocre and expensive, I'd look elsewhere for food.
Best Cookies - EVER! Friendly and helpful check-in personnel, provided prompt, pleasant service. Offered suggestions for dining options and entertainment in the area. Room was very nice - clean, comfortable and well appointed. Bed was AWESOME - I wanted to stay another night. A bit of road noise early in the morning, but this hotel is SO downtown that that's expected. Checkout was easy and staff very friendly once again. Would definitely stay here again, and have already recommended to friends.
The Artic Club Seattle is a older facility that has been upgraded to meet modern expectations. It is a bit away from major attractions, but it does house one of the best restaurants in Seattle. And, the staff is pleased to meet your every need.
Overpriced Room size: Average Dimly lit room, windows would not open except in bath. Antique type hotel theme. No free Wi-Fi service Rating overall : 7 Inadequate pillows on bed, stiff neck in morning, Bed was comfortable though Service was good considering, but would never stay again.
The Arctic Club is lovely. Great character, comfortable room, wonderful bathroom, good location. We'll definitely stay here again!
Excellent hotel. Rooms small, but that's typical for older hotels. Very well appointed. Nice bathroom and bed. Highly recommend.
