Ben was a great host, and Casa Paraiso II was even better than advertised. Located just on the edge of town, it was an easy walk to everything, and the optional rental golf cart (better price than I found anywhere else in town, and no pickup or drop-off needed!) made it an even quicker trip. There are tiendas, a butcher, a laundromat, coffee carts, and some taco stands just down the road, and Mi Chula Tours was a five minute car ride in the other direction. As a single dad traveling with two kids, this place was a dream - bunks, games, books, a clean, safe pool all to ourselves, and all the comforts of home in a gorgeous locale. We can't wait to come back and would book Casa Paraiso again in a heartbeat.

The area is not good. Up a steep dirt hill…even the uber wouldn’t drop us there so we dragged our suitcases up the hill. There is AC in the kitchen but not rooms so it wasn’t comfortable at night. The second room is not really a room, just a bunk. Place wasn’t very clean. If you can afford to pay a bit more I would recommend it. We only stayed for one night and couldn’t cancel so ate the bill and found something more suitable.
