There is no sign on the building a little hard to access lots of stairs outside and inside. Owner very sweet room was not quie from outside noise and very light from outside lights and when sun came. Up. I am a tea drinker and there was coffee in room and at hallway but no tea! That’s an easy fix.

Nice place in old section of the city. Poor parking. 42 steps from street level to guest rooms.

The Confederate House was wonderful. The breakfast was delicious every morning. The homemade bakery was a welcome delight in the afternoon.

Excellent location, and wonderful host! Served a super breakfast every morning!!

When we drove up to the house, we commented on how shabby the outside of the house was. It look like the steps hadn’t been painted in 50 years and needed sanding. We also noted that in order to get into the house you had to climb 21 steps up to the front door with a heavy 50 pound suitcase that my husband had. We then had to get the suitcase another 26 steps up to the second floor which we were bedroom was . Although there was parking in the back of the house, there was no way to get from the back of the house to the front of the house without crossing the entire length of an unpaved parking lot and going around the corner to come up the front steps. Although there was supposed to be free Wi-Fi, we were never given the Wi-Fi password so could not use it. My husband was told by the innkeeper not to touch the channels on the television and only to use the remote. However, the channel selector on the road remote did not work so we were only able to get one station. The ceiling fixture in the bedroom contain five lightbulbs, but only one worked. The mattress was on the soft side. The ceiling fixture in the bathroom did not work. One of the faucets on the two pedestal sinks was shaking. Overall, we were totally displeased with this establishment. We would not recommend this to anyone, but certainly not To any individual who is handicapped or had physical problems and could not climb 46 steps to get to the second floor

it was problems - TV is not working in room and broken door in the bath

The building had no signage. It is an awesome building with a beautiful location. I wish you could control the temperature in individual rooms. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast but the owner did make an amazing chocolate cake.

This quaint hotel is in a wonderful location across from Forsyth Park and an easy walk to the Historic District. Comfortable room with a full size roomy bathroom, and the bed was so very comfortable. The owner/operator is friendly, makes a full delicious breakfast and has wonderful stories to share. We will stay at this comfortable treasure of a B&B again! Highly recommend staying here for local flavor, great location to use as a home base to walk to parks and great restaurants, a two block walk to Kroger, etc. Enjoy Savannah, we sure did!

Excellent b and b! Loved it..will return in the future!

I was travelling alone and it was nice to come "home" to a safe and comfortable place at the end of a long day. The bed was to die for. I love to walk so the short trek into town didn't bother me a bit. Colleen is a very pleasant woman who does her best to make her guests feel welcome. The only drawback was my TV didn't work the first night and once I did get it working, I only got one channel. But, no biggie. Stay safe this weekend during the storm!!

This adorable bed and breakfast was everything we were looking for in Savannah. Ms. Coleen was a doll and was ready to meet any need we had.

The friendly proprietor supplied me with a clean, spacious room and daily home-cooked breakfast. I had plenty of privacy and readily available reading materials for a quiet stay.

My husband and I enjoyed our one night stay in this lovely bed and breakfast. We travel to Savannah for a short getaway from our home in Florida at least 3 times a year and this was our first time to try this location.

Thank you for your review. I'm so sorry you have trouble with stairs. Our house just as others in the Historic District does have a fair amount of noise outside as Savannah does rank in one of the top ten in the country for tourists. There is little I can do about the street lights it comes with living with in the city instead of the country. Do not despair we can start to put tea in the rooms. Thank you for staying with us. You are always welcome to stay.

This the Historic District so I guess it could be called the old section of town . Our mansion was built in 1856.Yes big old mansions do have steps to the raised front porch and from the parlor level to the 3rd floor. We work very hard at taking good care of our guests.. Maybe that is why many return year after year. It was a pleasure having you as a guest . You are always welcome to stay. Thank-you for staying with us.

Thank-you for your review. I have learned in dealing with guests to have a good sense of humor. It always amazes me someone would pack a heavy suit case and then complain it was heavy. As for there being steps to the front porch on the parlor level this is the south and it is very common down here. As is common in old mansions the bedrooms are on the 3rd floor. The 1st floor was for servants .the parlor floor for entertaining and the next floor had the bedrooms. Just looking at the picture on the website shows it is a large mansion with steps. If you had told me you were having problems with your remote I would have been happy to bring you a new remote for the 42 inch plasma tv just as I would have assisted you with accessing the WIFI. You are the only person who has ever complained about our mattresses. Our guests compliment us on them and the soft sheets and soft plush towels. Expedia called and told me you wanted money back because you had to carry your own suitcase. May I suggest the next time you travel look for a expensive hotel with a door man to help you carry your bags or maybe a motel with the room on the same floor and you can park your car in front of your door. Yes we do have private parking in a private parking lot for our guests and we do not charge for the parking. We do not advertise as being handicapped accessible. As for the painting union carpenters were here for weeks replacing what needed to be replaced before we can paint. Now it is the hands of mother nature for the rain to stop. We have installed for the safety of our guests new cameras around the house and on the parlor level, removed 12 trees, and landscaped the yard and redid our parking . So we are making progress.

Thank-you for the review. It is nice that you enjoyed the chocolate cake I just started baking for the guests. I think I will bake a cake each day or every 2 days depending on how fast it is eaten. It was a pleasure having you as a guest.. You are always welcome to stay again.
