Friendly owners/staff. The site was fairly empty so had a choice of pitch. Overall the site is quite good but is showing signs of age and needs maintenance , in particular the showers and toilets are very dated. The cafe at the reception wasnt serving any food or drinks. .

We have been for two days in that wonderful chalet with a welcoming staff and nice city to walk by. We could ask whatever we needed to them. I could recommend this place but better to have a car to visit the things around :- )

A great campsite with big enclosed grassy pitches. Nice pool and games for the kids. Good location for chateaus, Dijon, walking and cycling. Nice friendly English speaking staff. Nearby town of Saulieu was a pleasant surprise, too.

Site ticked all our boxes :- large level plot, electricity and mains water on the plot, good wifi and easy access. Christophe and Maurice were always there to help. Very nice swimming pool too! Lovel fresh bread every day from reception.

We came across this place by accident on our travels across france, we were looking for somewhere cheap to stay as we were on a budget. When we got here the guy was sooooo friendly and helped us out. We paid for the cheapest 'camping hut' and we were pleasantly suprised! The hut had two beds that we could push together and all the things we could possible need! we had a fridge, a stove, a sink etc..! It was so cosy and such a great experience. In the reception area he sells all sorts of camping supplies and food that you may of needed! i wish we spent more time here. It was the cheapest place we stayed and by far the best!! Always telling people of our experience here and i hope more people get to come here!! 10/10!!!

We stayed here for 4 nights in July in our tent and were pleased at the laid back, friendly site. The reception staff spoke good English and were friendly & helpful throughout our stay. It was easy to find coming in along the main road (D906) from the Paris direction - well signposted and just located on the left on the brow of a small hill just before entering the outskirts of town. Pitches are generous with a degree of screening - not for each pitch but certainly enough to divide the site up pleasantly. There is also a certain degree of tree cover which if it had been hot (typically we arrived after the recent heatwave!) would have provided some useful cover. Water sources are plentiful - as it appears are the electric hook-ups (although we don't use them). The main utility block is of a good standard. Showers are hot & free. Toilets well kept. And a good sized washing up area. Whilst WiFi is for a fee, it was quick (for my needs of loading photos and surfing the internet) with good coverage around the park. You can order bread at reception - but we preferred the 10 - 15 minute walk into town. We found an excellent bakery (Les P'Tits Oursons) with a very cheery woman serving - at the corner of Rue Du Marché where it meets with Rue De La Foire. And the butcher next door served exquisite sausages. Really pleased with both shops. Sadly the general stores are by comparison poor (even though run by friendly staff) although useful for non-food items. For veg use Le Jardin Eurl on Place de la Republique next door to a mini-market. The only item we failed to find after scouring many shops was a decent brown onion! There is just one small downside to this site and that is the night time lorry noise from the D906. It's not excessive and the lorries are not numerous, but you can hear each lorry 'whine' along the road for some time when one passes. If this is likely to bother you, bring earplugs - or consume plenty of French wine :-) Overall this is a lovely camp site, well positioned, well run, and yet low key so making for a relaxed stay. PS - if walking into town, the site map shows a link to a footpath - use it to take a pleasant tree lined track up to the main road and to avoid the section of road without a pavement. There is also a large lake close to the track - I understand fishing is allowed with a permit from the town tackle shop.

We stayed here for 5 days as part of an European vacation we did as a family. We stayed in the 5 berth log cabin and when we first got there we were worries about the accommodation being more like a shed!! How wrong were we? The cabins are awesome, they have all the things you need an the kids loved it. Pool, bar and shop in site and top tip is to make sure you have a pizza from the pizza van in the car park on the day he comes (Thursday I think) Will revisit as the place is beautiful and the price is cheaper than a weekend on a caravan sight surrounded by chavs on the east coast!!

Very convenient site situated on the N6 which is great for travelling south away from the motoways. We stayed here mid may and it was very quiet. The couple who run the site are very warm friendly and helpful. The young man who runs the site worked hard everyday cutting the grass and preparing the facilities for the main season. The pitches were large and grassy and clearly marked out..The facilities could do with a little money spending on them but they are always kept clean and there is always plenty of hot water.Lots of play facilities for kids and in walking distance of Saulieu. You must visit Le Cafe du Paris for a real Rene experience. We will definitly be staying here again.
