Location close to siesta beach but still requires vehicle or bike. On site laundry facilities are convenient. They provided beach chairs and umbrella for duration of stay which is great as companies offering rentals at beach charge a significant amount. We had 2 issues during our stay. House keeping staff leave the door open while cleaning so we had unwelcome visitors during our stay - mosquitos, roaches and geckos. We left DND sign on door to prevent them from coming in as we would see them leaving other guest doors open during clean. As doors are motel style and open to exterior, our son would wake up with significant mosquito bites in the morning despite our best attempts to catch them when we arrived. Second issue was staff left a baking sheet wrapped in plastic in oven. Oven door was tinted so we preheated it and didn’t realize this until room smelt like toxic burnt plastic. Had to air it out for hours to eliminate smell. Lady at front blamed previous guests for this even though cleaning staff admitted next day that they leave plastic on sheet to show it’s new. Plastic should never be left in oven. We left a night early (no refund) to go to another hotel due to these issues.

There were no food options on property which was a hassle with little ones. The office alao tended to close before ten and not open until after 9 am so we could check out in person or ask questions if we thought about staying again. The atmosphere was very nice.If you want to experience the sarsota (like the main land) and siesta keys its fair middle ground. I think if one perpares ahead. The amenities are great if you have your own food. I wouldve liked a basket to leave towels outside. Again though, not having any food on property, especially with little ones is kind of a deal breaker for families. If you are an adult and like a quiet place, its alright. 3/5 stars over all because the bar is small and there is no hot tub, and it is far from the seiesta keys(18 mins at peak times), and lack of food on protery.

We had a good time. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance which I enjoyed. The hotel was able to accommodate my request, which was appreciated. It's right off the highway, so it can be noisy. I slept with earbuds, but there is a white noise machine on the nightstand. For me, the bed was a little too soft, so I had trouble sleeping. The beach is a short drive away, and they have free chair rentals.
