Niseko on a budget? washlet wands not clean!

Affordable pod’s near niseko with excellent bus network to the slopes. The communal bathrooms were mostly well cleaned given the number of people using. I do think the robot bidets’ had brown stains on the wands. Kinda grossed me out. Otherwise economical way to hit niseko. Bring ear plugs, they should really segregate the pods from sleepers who snore. Def so uncles sawing wood some nights i had to use my headphones. Hotel staff are lovely and helped me with Yamato transport of my luggage. Breakfast was pretty good and a decent value.

Good value for the location! Comfort and clean.

Torifito was a very pleasant stay, exceeded our expectations. Perfect location, 10-15 minutes from Niseko Grand Hirafu. The lobby is very clean, the onsen was a nice bonus after a long day skiing. The rooms/facilities are very clean and spacious room for Japan. There are two separate rooms for skis, one for storage and another room to dry up any soaked ski gear. Washer & laundry option was a plus. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, lots of options! Hotel is located next to convenience store and a grocery store.

I stayed at Torifito in Kutchan in the summer time, so this is not representative for a wintertime experience. I am sure the place is great in the winter. During summer, especially in August it could be very uncomfortable as the rooms have no air-conditioning. Fans are provided but not as effective for August heat, so if you're travelling in August, consider places with air-conditioning. Otherwise, all good. Pros: Lawson's right next, very convenient. Also Aeon supermarket. Cons: A bit of a walk from the train station (the shortest route that Google shows is actually not walkable with luggage). Taxis are few and expensive, about 850 JPY from the place to the station.

Overall stay was great! Please improve the pillows though, they were a bit flat. Facilities were very new and modern, and we liked the layout of the room overall, very functional and spacious.

Enjoyed the “expanded pod” style of the place. Plenty of room in the pod. The bed and pillows were a little firmer than I tend to like, but still comfortable. Women’s bath was close by, and I enjoyed the key security necessary to get into the female only room (which as a solo female traveler helps me feel safer). I wasn’t a fan of how far away the toilets were. I understand with planning and everything, but they were a little far and outside of the locked dorm area, so that was inconvenient but not terrible. When I stayed, there were hardly any people staying here which was nice and quiet. I would worry about noise levels if all of the beds were full, because there’s only a screen separating you from the all the other pods, so not a lot of noice insulation, though there are rules from the hotel which help to cut down on unnecessary noise.
