On our way to the south of France, well located stop over over before Lyon. This is the second time we stayed there. This time the bed & pillows were harder than last time + at the breakfast was not living up to our expectations (no more bread, the croissant was tasteless, the choice was disappointing). The cost of the extra drinks was overvalued (22€ for 25cl of wine, 8€ for a flat beer!!).

A 1-night business trip. Paid for by the business. Little attentive service from bar staff; arguments amongst the staff (not good in front of customers!) Room awful decor; poor decoration but decent wifi. Bathroom small and pokey. Breakfast OK. Evening meal was served with threats of a closing kitchen (come on people, customer is king, or maybe you haven't learned that). This is a dreadful chain hotel and best avoided. Good somewhere with real, friendly people, not functionaries who couldn't care less about their attitude and service. It I was Mercure, I would close this dump.

We stayed in a family room on a stop over trip, the room was immaculate and the staff really friendly and helpful - breakfast was perfect and lots to choose from, couldn't fault it, we had a late supper and although the menu choice was fairly limited it did us well and was good quality, all in all it was a great stop over for us.

We stayed here for a night on 31st Dec and staff who greeted us was really freind and polite. She offered us an upgrade at no extra cost. We checked out on 1st Jan and again met another very friendly staff. Nice location and only 20 mins walk away from the centre

The Mercury brand is something that you would generally rely on in providing a good standard of service and facilities. However on this occasion the service did not live up to my experience of the Mercury brand. On arrival reception processed us promptly, however did not enquire if we required dinner reservations which could have resulted in problems later in the evening. We were given room 113 (twin I didn’t recall requesting a twin) which had a lovely view across the river, however both Window locks were broken which could have been a security problem with access across the flat roof, of additional security concern for women on their own. Tea and water for one person rather than two. Following a request we Moved room 114 same limited tea water, small room, bathroom shaving mirror loose damaged hinge ment couldn’t position. The shower gel holder was broken and fell off. On the plus side the staff in the restaurant were extremely helpful and pleasant and the dinner and breakfast were both to a good standard. Won’t be staying here again on the way to the Alps, plenty of other alternatives

The reception areas are rather down at heel. The room was ok but bathroom filthy. Hairs all over the sink. No teas in the room. A cleaner burst in, lucky I was dressed and then moaned about the fact we had been let in. I asked for teas and was told to tell reception. The breakfast was ok but felt crowded. Outside there’s a park and the amazing river.

We selected this hotel as a way point on our return from Nice to home in the Paris region. We chose a Mercure to have an assured level of comfort and with the hope of a good evening meal in the restaurant. The hotel is relatively conveniently located in a very quiet and nice location next to the Soane river. We found the staff to be welcoming and the room to be comfortable and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. However, the room is a bit “compact” with not much room between the foot of the bed and the wall. Our room (408) had some maintenance issues that need attention: there is water damage to the wall next to the shower and the windows are clouded over due to moisture that has gotten into the inside of the double glass windows — evidently for some time now by the appearance of things. The breakfast was very complete and good. However, the experience in the restaurant for dinner was not good — not good at all. After our starters, there was a very long delay. They had forgotten to start our main dish. My steak was of good quality but overcooked. I had specified “saignant” and it arrived “à point”. Worse was the experience for my wife’s dinner. Our server told us that the “cocotte du jour” that day was a Boeuf Bourguignon — a good choice for the region — and she ordered it. When it finally arrived — after a delay of 45 minutes — the waiter announced it as a lamb stew. My wife detests lamb! It was already too late to order something else. The result is that she did not have a main dish at all — just the starter and dessert. They did make an adjustment but the experience of the evening was destroyed. As a consequence, we cannot recommend the restaurant — at least not until management corrects things. (There is another restaurant — outside — a walking distance along the river toward the port / yacht club. We have not tried it.) Overall, the hotel is convenient and the staff is pleasant. However, it is not up to the standards that we expect for a Mercure.

This hotel is quite good, although I don't understand the 4 stars thing. I stayed about a week ago, the room was good for one person and really clean. But, the internet connection is really bad. There is no excuse for this bad internet connection! I think I can find something better with the same pricetag.

Stayed here for a night on our journey through France. Loved the free, secure parking. Slight hiccup when they had difficulty finding our reservation. Reception area very clean and smart. We had requested a river view room and that is what we got and we were thrilled that there was a regatta in progress. However, there was a nasty stain on the carpet of our room. The receptionist explained that they are renovating the rooms floor by floor and they hadn't got to the 3rd floor yet. That was the only bad mark against the hotel. Staff and service generally was very good.

Great front of house staff greeted with a smile. I opted for upgraded room . Halloween had came early, cobwebs in the corners with spiders present net curtains filthy . Smell of cigarette smoke during the night in the first floor room ! One set of towels and robe for 2 people . Still waiting for reception to send the additional robe. 2 sets of towels sent up instead. Only one member of staff covering breakfasts, over worked and not happy. Mr ACCOR YOU or some one from your team need to book in here in to see for yourself. I have to side with the previous reviews regarding the room standard . Far below normal 4 star , on the plus side great beds !
