This hotel is far from a 4-star property.
The photos on Hotels.com are misleading and do not reflect the hotel’s true condition.
Most furnishings and facilities appear old, worn-out, scratched, or damaged—often all at once. The rooms are poorly decorated, have an unpleasant odor, and were full of flies (especially in the bathroom), indicating poor hygiene or long periods without occupancy.
The bathroom feels outdated, equipped with the most basic, low‑quality amenities. The corridor leading to the rooms looks creepy, with a dated 1950s atmosphere.
The staff, while friendly, seemed disorganized and slow. Check‑in took 30 minutes, and the lack of English‑speaking staff made the process even more difficult.
I encourage Hotels.com to review the properties listed on its platform to ensure that what is advertised matches what guests actually experience.
Wyndham Paulista is labeled as a 4‑star hotel, but as someone who frequently stays in 4‑star properties, I can confidently say this one would not even qualify as 1 star.
