Probably the worst hotel in São Paulo

During a business trip to Brazil I made a booking at this hotel for 6 nights, but on arriving at the hotel I realised there was no reliable wifi connectivity. I complained to the hotel and was moved to another room, but the situation was the same. It was late at night so I decided to wait until the following morning and call Expedia to cancel the booking as I could not work at the hotel. The hotel refused to refund for the other 5 night although they clearly stated in the hotel listing that they offered services when they clearly didn't. The hotel refused to refund any money and I had no option but to check out and find another hotel. The two rooms I stayed in were tiny, noisy and dirty. The bathroom was dirty and the wall tiles were mouldy. The area is very noise and dangerous. The hotel staff are rude and unhelpful. The breakfast is a joke too so stay well clear of this place and avoid disappointment and financial loss.

Great Hotel and Great Staff

We truly enjoyed our stay at Higienopolis Hotel & Suites. Great room, great location, great staff. The staff was extremely helpful as I only speak English. I would recommend this Hotel to everyone

The area is in the midst of 8 kosher restaurants. The food at Via Babush around the corner is not to be missed. The fish and tempura there is the best I have eaten, anywhere. Period

Hotel/ suite was very spacious. Otherwise it felt much like a youth hostel. The bathroom and sinks all smelled. There was no hot water in the sinks. The shower had water that was barely warm. There were no tissues. Overall it was disappointing.

Reasonably priced hotel

The hotel is in a good location. The restaurant is light and airy and an adequate buffet breakfast was provided. Five of us stayed for three nights and shared a two bedroom apartment. The bedrooms were centrally heated and clean. However,the bathroom was really very tiny and there was a bad smell of sewage in the bathroom during our stay there. No crockery or cutlery was provided in the kitchenette. The hotel staff was very helpful and assisted us in booking a three hour tour of the city with a private company and this provided a good overview of the main attractions of the city.
