My wife and I spent five great nights at Villa Ilias and cannot speak highly enough of the experience. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were really good especially the daily morning treat supplied each day with the breakfast. Rooms were spotless and kept as such each day. Only complaint was that the chlorine in the pool was probably too heavily dosed and made it very hard on your eyes when swimming. Every thing else was first class. We stayed at Villa Ilias in October in the King Monadikos Suite for one night while in Santorini. I can honestly say this has been the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The service provided by George and Mary from our initial enquiry to checking out was perfect. We ordered room service as once we saw the views from the room we realised no other restaurant in the area would be able to compete. The food we ordered was outstanding and very reasonably priced. The room has been thought out perfectly with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Outside you have a private balcony offering views all around the island, along with a hot tub, sun beds and seating areas. The breakfast the following morning was lovely with plenty of choice. We left our bags while we hiked to Oia, at no extra charge and picked them up on the way back. As we had enjoyed the sunset so much the night before Mary said we were welcome to watch it again from the pool/bar. We ordered cocktails and took a seat to sit and be in awe again at the stunning views. Thank you George and Mary for a wonderful stay. If we ever come back to Santorini, you would be our first choice without a doubt.

This place was fantastic. Could not ask for a better hotel! -The location is perfect- nice and quiet, but only a 10 minute walk to Fira, which has all restaurants, shopts and nightlife. Plus, there are still excellent restaurants super close to the hotel. -The views are absolutely amazing! -Free breakfast every morning with large variety of options. There is also a bar at the pool that serves food. -Mary and George at the front desk are so kind and accomodating. Mary even sat us down for 30 minutes upon check in so that she could go over a map of the island, tell us things to do, and answer all of our questions. You will not be disappointed staying here.

I stayed in a double room right on the pool deck. While there was some pool noise in the evening, it was quiet by the time I went to bed. The room was clean and comfortable. George at the front desk was amazing and helped me plan my days. Breakfast was super tasty and the daily treat was a nice surprise! When I showed pictures I took from the hotel balcony, my friends were very suspicious and thought I'd just pulled pictures from the internet - the view is that incredible! Absolutely would stay here again if visiting Santorini in the future.

The views from our balcony were amazing! We had the king suite with the 360 panoramic balcony views. Sunsets were amazing , the jacuzzi on the balcony was just a perfect way to end the night. The views from the shower were everything . I would definitely stay here again ! It is in such a perfect location ! The breakfast was always tasty. Each morning they have a different feature which were all delicious as well!

We came to Santorini by ferry. It was helpful to use the transfer service arranged by the hotel for an extra charge. The amount of development and the distance is too great for first time visitors. The location of the hotel is magnificent. We paid a little more and got a poolside room. But you do loose the ability to hang out wet or cleaned clothing to dry when you do that. The room was very quiet at night. Staff was very good from the first orientation through to the pool deck service. We did get a breakfast included which was great. The only downside was that we could not connect in to the WiFi in our rooms, at registration or any other place on the property. It is open and everyone else seems to know it. And uses it. Restaurants nearby are more expensive on the edge of the Caldera. We had good meals in some of the small towns and restaurants off the walkway that were inexpensive and tasty. Villa Ilias was very good for us. I would go back.

This hotel is located in Firostefani, a great central location. Just outside and along the cobble stone walkway over a dozen great restaurants are within easy walking distance. Fira is just a short 10 minute walk along the caldera to the south. We had room 6, a room with a private balcony facing west over the caldera. The sunsets from the room were beautiful. The balcony was a nice place to sit and relax. The pool area also had great views of the caldera and city. The breakfasts had a wide range of choices of many tasty items. I always ate too much. The staff were always very helpful and answered all our questions. Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed at Villa Ilias in the top floor suite (room 14) for 3 nights in September 2017 on our honeymoon and absolutely LOVED IT! From our week long experience in Santorini in which we toured the entire island and had stays in both Firostefani and Oia, we had the best views of our whole trip FROM OUR BALCONY! It is absolutely breathtaking and you have the most perfect sunset watching spot to view the caldera as well as the beautiful cliff side towns. We ended up getting takeout gyros and Greek salads every night for dinner to take back to our room just to enjoy the view. The almost 360 rooftop terrace has two large lounge areas, a table and two chairs, as well as a hot tub. The suite itself was also very clean and large. We had a wonderful experience at Villa Ilias and greatly appreciated all of the friendly and helpful staff!!! If you're looking for a place in Santorini with the best room views, stay at Villa Ilias in the rooftop suite- you won't regret it!

Rooms are large but could use a slight update. Bathrooms are huge by European standards which was great. Hotel has awesome views overlooking the volcano and you probably get close to perfect location to see the sunsets from the pool with a drink in hand. Very nice location close to Firostefani downtown and you probably have 50 choices to eat within 15min radius. Kids (8 & 10) loved the pool and the company around the pool. The staff are fantastic and helped us with planning our activities, made our bookings and car rental. Chill place with all you need and a great group of staff.

This hotel is amazing and in the perfect location (Firostefani) only a short walk to Fira ! Our room was beautiful and the view was breathtaking! ! The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean ! The breakfast in the morning was delicious and there were a lot of options to choose from ! ! The staff Mary and George are absolutely wonderful !! They went out of their way above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant!! This is the perfect hotel and i would definitely return here on my next visit to Santorini !!
