We stayed at Ersi Villas between the 13th and 16th September. We had a view facing the east side of the island, looking out at the Aegean in the distance (we even managed to catch a wonderful sunrise at 7:30 am from our balcony with all the colours of the sunrise, without the crowds of Oia!). Elias took great care of us throughout, even giving us some great ideas for itineraries during our trip (much appreciated for the advice to go to Pyrgos and the bus timetables). The rooms were simple, but very clean and air conditioned. Breakfast was home-made and delicious. Overall great value and would love to visit again.
Just been to Ersi Villas with our teenage girls. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Great location, 5 minutes from the top of the amazing Caldera view. Unfortunately we only discovered this on the last day so was walking down to town and then all the way around! Don't make the same mistake. The walk into town is on a busy, noisy road and is not an overly pleasant walk so a much nicer route would be to walk down the coastal path. The town is great. The girls loved the hectic nightlife and clubs, whilst we enjoyed the dramatic scenery, beautiful shops and restaurants. Erst Villas is probably the cleanest well kept place we have ever stayed. It is immaculate. The rooms are of traditional design but are extremely comfortable and come with an excellent fridge, modern bathroom, good air conditioning and really comfortable bed and pillows. The pool is lovely and we loved the pretty flowers all over the property. There probably are not enough sunbeds to service every apartment but it never seemed a problem and we always had no problem getting them. Elias was a true gentleman and assisted us with everything to the best he could. I also lost my passport and he really went out of his way to assist. When we return to Santorini we will certainly stay here. I would not recommend for anybody with mobility problems as Santorini is like a fitness holiday and again Ersi Villas has lots of steps and is on a steep hill.
This hotel was absolutely amazing - the room was basic but it was exactly what we expected and needed! It was quiet with the windows closed and had great AC. It was in walking distance to all of the necessary towns and restaurants and the bus stop out front was really helpful. The morning breakfast was fresh and delicious and Elias was SUCH a great help (true definition of a family-run hotel)- he even dropped us off at the bus station when we had all of our luggage. Honestly could not have asked for a better hotel or stay in Santorini. Would highly recommend this to anyone, GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY.
Stayed here for a week with friends. Family run hotel, very friendly and welcoming. Owner Elias couldn't do enough for us and the homemade cakes on offer at breakfast were to die for - all cooked daily by his mother! Rooms very comfortable, well maintained pool and stunning courtyard swathed in bougainvillea and other exotic plants. A real oasis of calm in a busy town.
Elias, the host and his beautiful mom are 2 of the friendliest humans in Santorini. The welcome greeting, the generous hospitality and warm smiles were greatly appreciated. Magas, the friendly dog was the highlight of our stay, approached us with love and warmth. The place is spectacular. The courtyard was clean, well kept. Elias and his mother truly put a lot of heart and hard work to offer a clean and beautiful environment to their guests. My family and I truly felt we were at home, away from home. A must stay for a family. We were offered daily updates on buse, taxis and excursions. Elias was so attentive to our needs and made sure we were enjoying our stay by constantly recommending ideas on where to go and what to see. I cannot thank him enough for his dedication in making us fulfill our stay at Santorini with love and joy... thanks again for Ersi Villa
The good location and the friendly host are the two main positive points regarding this accommodation. The rooms are exactly as depicted in photos, very basic and simple. Despite we had booked a room with a large double bed, we received a room with two small beds. The greatest issue for us was that the room did not have opaque window blinds and we couldn't get a good sleep. Though, it was quiet. The bathroom was too tiny, but for a short stay, it was just sufficient. Overall, it was a very basic room, maybe an option for those planning to spend more time outside.
We stayed at Ersi Villas at the end of June. This lovely little gem is exactly how it looks on the website. It is very hilly around the hotel but this is the same for most of the hotels in the area. The family are are very welcoming and always available to help with any queries or to book trips. We had a lovely room with a terrace overlooking the sea and a good sized fridge. The hotel is spotless and the homemade breakfast is delicious. We booked the hotel to be near Fira yet not wanting to be in the centre and were quite overwhelmed at how lovely Friostefani is. A pretty little village 5 mins walk from the hotel with a few shops and plenty of restaurants. The highlight being a perfect spot to dine and watch the sunset. Fira is only a 10-15 min walk along the road or 20-25 mins along the scenic coastal path with stunning views. Santorini is a stunning island and would definitely stay in Ersi Villas again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to others. Elias was very helpful and generous with his time helping us out - all recommendations that he gave us for things to do and places to eat were spot on. The location was great, only a few minutes walk to Firostefani village and the caldera views, but far enough to get some peace and quiet after a day battling the crowds.
We had a great experience at Ersi Villas. Elias provided timely communication leading up to our stay and was super accommodating and informative during our time there. The villas are clean, and modern and are a short walk to the central area in Firastefani. You really do fee like home when you get back to your villa after a long day of sight-seeing.
We stayed 3 nights at Ersi Villas in June and loved it. It is located in convenient area. Room is clean with nice setting outside to relax Very nice host who can explain to you in details for what you can do in the island. We would love to come back here.
