this place is comfortable, clean, spacious and has a great location. its very near to the Phira city centre, which has best view points that Santorini has to offers also one of the coolest night life places. coming back to Amerisa suites, the staff here is what makes all the difference, they are friendly and cater to all your needs. Dana is too sweet and made our stay so comfortable and memorable, Not to forget the chef there, who was a God send for two of my picky kids. they loved her food. all in all a great place for family and couples. and what great view !!!
The staff are helpful and friendly, the location is good for those who like to visit Fira "downtown" and mix with people "from everywhere". The room was clean and they did take care of it! Unfortunately, if you are located on the lowermost floor, just next to main-road (it will be from your bed in some 5 metres away), it may be a bit too noisy for for you, especially during the day (no one stays in during the day - you say!) and in early mornings and late night when motobikes, ATV etc speed up to the hill. You may wonder about the very simple breakfast, for most of us simple enough to skip it! But it is OK. The staff is helpful if you need something, but you will not get as simple as that a fried egg!! You learn quickly, there are other places offering breakfast with a larger variety, in the town, just some 10 minutes away. If you go for seaview, you may not what to have room on the lowermost floor next to the road, even you are able to sneak out for a view. The rooms on the floor with pool have a better opportunity, however, if hotel is crowded there will be always someone at the pool, occupying your space... In conclusions, if you aim to experience a small hotel with friendly staff, you do not need a restaurant at the hall, and you are not afraid of traffic noise, it is a place for you. No worries! I am rather positive!
Nice friendly owner with lovely staff .. Dina was very helpful n informative.. about 10mins walk to Fire main area .. due to off season de hotel literally was all to myself about 2-3 guest at tht time.. Breakfast was very poor apart from egg nothing were hot or cooked.. room were nice n tidy n clean but would love to point out at night its gets very cold so to the owner look into that n install heating in rooms.. Overall I had lovely stay in America n loved Santorini
The best part is the proximity to Fira square a 10 minute walk but not on the best of the roads. The view from the hotel is gorgeous, you can spend hours enjoying the view. The rooms are of good size, bed is good, rooms are clean and neat, the front desk is cooperative and friendly.free wifi was provided. In the down side the bathrooms are not upto the mark and need to be completely redone. The breakfast has very limited varieties and they need to work on that too. A coffee maker would be welcome. They don't have a functioning restaurant, which was really shocking. It is definitely not a four star property but all in all not bad.
We paid for a sea view, however the actual room does not have a sea view. To access the sea view you need to climb the extremely steep staircase to your ‘private balcony’ (which anybody can access). The photos represent how steep the stairs are and the rotten plywood flooring of the balcony. Each room had taped off wiring in the bathroom and the bedroom, mouldy/calcium build up on the shower head and the shower floor. When we questioned hotel staff regarding the cleanliness of the shower we were told it was clean. There is a sign in each bathroom with rules and fines applicable for dirtying the towels. Amerisa is located on the main road that winds its way to Fira town. As the photographs demonstrate it is located on a ‘u’ shaped corner and has constant traffic throughout the day and night. The final photo shows the distance of our rooms in relation to the street (approximately 10 metres). Guests have to walk through pathway/balcony outside in front of other guests room's. It is also worth noting that when we arrived at Santorini, our tour guide was surprised at our accommodation, mentioning that she only had negative experiences with Amersia and its staff; leading us to believe that Amerisa has been a concern for some time now. We are extremely disappointed with the inaccurate and misleading information given to us regarding Amerisa. Would not recommend.
The hotel is very comfortable, and the staff was so nice! Especially Dena, the receptionist, was very helpful and kind. The breakfast is amazing, and the hotel itself is very clean and well located. Totally recommended!
Booked this hotel for one week as my son was getting married in Santorini I contacted the hotel regarding transfers from the airport and e-mails were sent with flight information and flight numbers I recieved confirmation that the transfers were arranged and someone would be in airport waiting for us .We were delayed for an hour before take off when we landed in Santorini there was indeed a man waiting for us who was very rude and told us to hurry up because we were late ,we tried to explain to him that the flight was delayed and it was not our fault and the hotel had our flight number so why didn't they track it .We eventually arrived at the hotel ( we were 5adults and 2children aged 5years and 2year old ) at 21:00hours he dropped us off in the middle of a busy road with no pavements and drove off The reception was in darkness and nobody around After knocking for about 10minutes we found a telephone number of the manager we rang him and he said he would be there in 10minutes 20 minutes later he turned up We asked why there was nobody there to meet us he stated that he did not know we were coming I showed him the E-mails that he had sent me but denied any knowledge of them He did not apologise for any inconvenience just showed us to our room The rooms and the hotel were the complete opposite of their advertisement The hotel was grubby and surrounded by a very busy ,dangerous and noisey road There was no way we could have stayed ther with 2young children .The staff were very rude and the breakfast poor We found a lovely hotel named El Greco on the Sunday and were greeted by lovely friendly staff would strongly recommend The manager just shrugged his shoulders when we told him we were booking out he was not interested at all Would not recommend this hotel to anybody
My sister and I stayed here in late Aug. We booked last minute so there weren't many hotel options remaining. The hotel is about a 7 minute walk from Fira Town and is located on a main street. We booked a sea view room which was basic but spacious, it didn't have the typical Santorini sea view so I was disappointed on arrival. It felt as though we were located on the back side of the island. We had our own little private balcony which was nice but it is very loud on the street hence was not so enjoyable. Breakfast was minimal, the Greek cheese and olives was yum though! Breakfast is served on the rooftop so the views are superb! The pool is also on the rooftop but is very small, we didn't bother to take a dip. When returning to your hotel late at night, lighting is very poor to none. We did get lost on the way back at dark on both of our nights. A torch is a must! Although Santorini is expensive in general, it wasn't worth $290 a night. There are much better and cheaper options in Fira, I wouldn't stay here again.
Unfortunately this hotel proved to be the opposite of their advertisement. The hotel is surrounded by a road that has very noisy traffic running at all times of day and night and no room is spared from the noise. The room was small cheaply furnished and bed uncomfortable. Bath room small and in need of some repairs. Breakfast was minimal and eggs were cold. Swimming pool was small and the paint transferred to bathers.
We were greeted with local wine and given the suite room (201) because it was our honeymoon. Great way to start our stay in Santorini:) As the previous reviewer noted, this hotel does not give you the Ocean view you expect from Santorini but at the end of the day, it's not what mattered to us because we could go sit at a restaurant for coffee or drinks and get the view. Its location is ideal!! 10mins away (by foot) from the center. Just make sure to ask how to get there because you can easily get lost in the labyrinth/streets! The only thing that was somewhat bothersome was that this hotel is on a main road so sitting outside to rest can be difficult because of the amount of cars that pass by. The good thing is that you can't hear the cars when you're in the room! The room was clean. The bed wasn't the most comfortable but for 3 nights it was ok. Our stay in Santorini was made perfect with the help of Dimitra at the reception with her restaurant suggestions! Thank you!
