Booked this hotel for one week as my son was getting married in Santorini I contacted the hotel regarding transfers from the airport and e-mails were sent with flight information and flight numbers I recieved confirmation that the transfers were arranged and someone would be in airport waiting for us .We were delayed for an hour before take off when we landed in Santorini there was indeed a man waiting for us who was very rude and told us to hurry up because we were late ,we tried to explain to him that the flight was delayed and it was not our fault and the hotel had our flight number so why didn't they track it .We eventually arrived at the hotel ( we were 5adults and 2children aged 5years and 2year old ) at 21:00hours he dropped us off in the middle of a busy road with no pavements and drove off The reception was in darkness and nobody around After knocking for about 10minutes we found a telephone number of the manager we rang him and he said he would be there in 10minutes 20 minutes later he turned up We asked why there was nobody there to meet us he stated that he did not know we were coming I showed him the E-mails that he had sent me but denied any knowledge of them He did not apologise for any inconvenience just showed us to our room The rooms and the hotel were the complete opposite of their advertisement The hotel was grubby and surrounded by a very busy ,dangerous and noisey road There was no way we could have stayed ther with 2young children .The staff were very rude and the breakfast poor We found a lovely hotel named El Greco on the Sunday and were greeted by lovely friendly staff would strongly recommend The manager just shrugged his shoulders when we told him we were booking out he was not interested at all Would not recommend this hotel to anybody
My sister and I stayed here in late Aug. We booked last minute so there weren't many hotel options remaining. The hotel is about a 7 minute walk from Fira Town and is located on a main street. We booked a sea view room which was basic but spacious, it didn't have the typical Santorini sea view so I was disappointed on arrival. It felt as though we were located on the back side of the island. We had our own little private balcony which was nice but it is very loud on the street hence was not so enjoyable. Breakfast was minimal, the Greek cheese and olives was yum though! Breakfast is served on the rooftop so the views are superb! The pool is also on the rooftop but is very small, we didn't bother to take a dip. When returning to your hotel late at night, lighting is very poor to none. We did get lost on the way back at dark on both of our nights. A torch is a must! Although Santorini is expensive in general, it wasn't worth $290 a night. There are much better and cheaper options in Fira, I wouldn't stay here again.
Unfortunately this hotel proved to be the opposite of their advertisement. The hotel is surrounded by a road that has very noisy traffic running at all times of day and night and no room is spared from the noise. The room was small cheaply furnished and bed uncomfortable. Bath room small and in need of some repairs. Breakfast was minimal and eggs were cold. Swimming pool was small and the paint transferred to bathers.
We were greeted with local wine and given the suite room (201) because it was our honeymoon. Great way to start our stay in Santorini:) As the previous reviewer noted, this hotel does not give you the Ocean view you expect from Santorini but at the end of the day, it's not what mattered to us because we could go sit at a restaurant for coffee or drinks and get the view. Its location is ideal!! 10mins away (by foot) from the center. Just make sure to ask how to get there because you can easily get lost in the labyrinth/streets! The only thing that was somewhat bothersome was that this hotel is on a main road so sitting outside to rest can be difficult because of the amount of cars that pass by. The good thing is that you can't hear the cars when you're in the room! The room was clean. The bed wasn't the most comfortable but for 3 nights it was ok. Our stay in Santorini was made perfect with the help of Dimitra at the reception with her restaurant suggestions! Thank you!
We stayed at the Amerisa for three nights earlier this month. The check in was quick, and we were offered a glass delicious local wine. The location is convenient; just a short 10 minute walk into Fira. Probably worth noting that if you are walking back at night there is a stretch that is not well lit (the flashlight app on my phone came in handy!). The rooms are very clean and spacious, and the air conditioning worked well. The breakfast was more than adequate, and everything was fresh. The front desk staff were very helpful, assisting us with making arrangements for a day tour and a cab to the airport. When we booked the room, my husband went for the ocean view. When we arrived, we realized that the hotel is on the sunrise side of the island - unless you are an early rise, you may as well save your money.
My husband and I spent 7 nights here, and although we wished we were in a fabulous villa, overlooking the best spots and containing our own private hot tub, we can't afford that type of luxury, and Amerisa Suites is affordable. It is very good value for money. After our initial settling in at Amerisa, Steve and I agreed that it was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was also very close to the main strip in Fira. In Fira, you can get the bus to most of the towns on the island, and it isn't going to break the bank. Our hotel had its own little swimming pool. And it did the job when we got back after a day exploring. Santorini is HOT (we were there at the beginning of Sept). There is also a clean, shared jacuzzi, but I never saw anyone using it. We stayed with breakfast included, but we didn't always make it to breakfast in time. The window shutters keep the right out. The room was air-conditioned, which was lovely. On the night we arrived, we were late. It was midnight and the staff were kindly waiting for us. We went for a walk to the strip just to get some air and maybe a snack before winding down for bed. We discovered a shop in town which sold cider, and so we bought some and went back to the hotel to have one on the balcony. We had no idea what we were looking out at as we glanced across the twinkling lights of the eastern (flatter) side of the island. It took us 3 days of wondering around on foot before Steve caved into the pressure from me to hire a scooter. It was very much worth it as there is so much to do and see on the island, and you don't want to be hanging around waiting for a bus. Although the bus service is very good. If you have kids, I would look to stay in the town of Kamari.
My sister in law stayed at the Amerisa Suites for our wedding in Oia, Santorini. She was traveling from India and her flight was delayed. The staff stayed later and left her a key for when she arrived. They went out of their way and were assisting us in tracking her flight since the airline was not cooperating. We found this outstanding! The rooms are nice size and very clean. The establishment is very safe. There is also a parking garage below. The staff treated my sister in law like royalty! She was traveling alone with her baby, so you can imagine how nerve racking that was. Thank you so much for everything!!! Would rate this place 10 stars if possible.
We stayed here for about 5 nights, and it was a great location. About a 10 minute walk to the center of Fira, where everything is. It is a great place to stay because you can get anywhere around the island if you rent an ATV or a car for a pretty cheap price. The hotel itself had a friendly staff and clean rooms. There is air conditioning in the rooms and a mini fridge. The beds weren't the best in the world, but always better than the floor. The breakfast was nice on the roof and the views were amazing. The hotel is on a major street with traffic constantly, but from the room, we couldn't hear a peep. I would stay here again, and recommend it to a friend.
We stayed here for 5 days and it was fantastic. A short walk from central Fira (you wouldn't want to be any nearer) and the bus station which takes you all around the island for €1.80. The room was plenty big enough, nicely decorated with a modern bathroom, fridge and Tv. Rooms cleaned daily and fresh towels laid out. Our room had a little terrace attached to the side up a few wooden steps. A beautiful view of the island and a real sun trap. It had a sun lounger and 2 wicker chairs that can be easily positioned for the sun but also a canvas shelter if the sun gets too much. Other rooms had table a chairs on their balconies and one had a hot tub! Breakfast was continental but always had scrambled egg's, a variety of breads and pastries as well as meats and cheese. It wouldn't be a Greek breakfast without some feta, olives and some local honey. Coffee and orange juice available from machines too. You could eat in the restaurant or on the terrace. It has a small pool and several sun loungers (plenty for the size of the hotel, only 10 rooms) staff were very friendly and spoke to us about trips and bus times but were not pushy at all! We had a very late flight home and they let us keep our room for the whole day with no extra charge. If we came back to Santorini I wouldn't waste my time looking for another hotel as this one has everything we needed.
Perfect location, very clean and comfortable and Katerina (front desk) was super helpful, courteous and friendly! The breakfast was better than expected from a European style included breakfast, with hot scrambled eggs, and lots of other variety! Excellent hotel!!
