Been going there for couple of years. I like the location and staff. But it need update in the hotel. I do,like because simply. A remodel is due. Please this not negative just suggestion….
The staff here is excellent. Joseph went above and beyond for me. This is a small hotel near the malecon and a park where locals gather. This is not some high end removed hotel. Local neighborhood, authentic experience and solid value. The staff make this place a gem. Thank you!
Horrible conditions both inside and outside the hotel. Very unsafe. Cockroaches and dirty room. Stains on the sheets. Mold in shower and fridge. Pictures did not match description. Electrical plugs did not work. TV did not work. Funky smell. Toilet and shower broken. Holes in the room.

Motel looked clean but room was dirty . Bed was like sleeping on table. Security was good .

Very nice staff but the place still needs a lot of work. The kitchen sink didn't work and the pots were very old and extremely worn. The shower was tiny and had horrible water pressure. Also, the location is very noisy with street traffic (horns, music, people, etc.).
The staff was pleasant. However the rooms need a lot of work. If you just want a place to shower and sleep this is the place for you. If comfort is important to you then avoid.
There was an overwhelming musty moldy smell in the room 102 from day one. The ventilation fan in the bathroom did not work. The drain in the shower backed up. The fiberboard closets were splitting apart from moisture. I think the combination was the source of the smell. Ricardo, 5 star guest clerk, tried to move me but was unable as they were full. I had to fight for clean towels. The ad says bottled water provided. Well only two bottles for 8 days! Cheaper to buy next door. They did have a wonderful holiday party with free food, beverages, and music. That was the best thing they did. The pool and jacuzzi were clean but not heated. Ice cold water I could not tolerate. Terrace upstairs was pleasant in the morning. I compared it to the Discovery Hotel while I was there and it is so much better. If you get an upper floor it’s probably ok. Discovery had better prices online. I bought a glade fragrance can at my own expense which helped some. I had to spray every 2 hours to breath!
