Located just six houses to the beach and one block to downtown, this happy, yellow bungalow will not disappoint.
Dream Catcher is ideally situated on the peaceful East Ruskin Street, as well as just a short walk to the private beach access at East Ruskin Pavilion. Boasting plenty of natural light and space, this shaded hideaway is a great choice for the whole gang! Guests can arrive, park and enter through their comfortable screened-in front porch complete with lounge seating and a bench swing; the perfect morning coffee location. And on quiet nights you can hear the waves from your private front porch.
Step inside this home to discover an open, airy floor plan, featuring living, dining, coastal vibes, and a fully equipped kitchen on the first level. This main level offers an open living room with a large sofa, tall ceilings, seating, and an adjacent, large mounted flat screen TV for all perfect to watch the football game or enjoy a family movie night in. This level also provides a dining area with a wooden table that comfortably seats six! The fully equipped kitchen offers a four-burner electric stove top, a large sub-zero fridge, a full dishwasher, toaster, coffee pot, and microwave for cooking family nights in. There is also bar seating for two more and rear porch access. We've been to Seaside the last 5 summers with great experiences but did want to give our true feedback here. This is really all based on the fact that we are paying a premium per night to stay in these homes so we would hope there would be a little bit more of a standard to each property than what we found here. The location seems to be a great mix of being far enough 30a to hear road noise all the time while being close enough to easily access the beach entry. The town square is a few minute walk away offering great access to the food and entertainment. The screened in porched helped to not make the home feel small which was great and the living room/dining area seemed adequate and well thought out. We did not like the bedroom with the isolated bathroom. The closet wouldn't even open because of the furniture leaving us nowhere to put our suitcases as the door access was around 4"-6" wide. We had an issue where a nail was sticking through the bathtub and HOC was on it the next day, thankfully before one of our kids may have caught it getting in and out. There were also the tips of screw or nail heads poking through the top railing on the loft which I caught my hand on. Lastly, I can only speak for our mattress and not the kids, but it was uncomfortable and hand a large ridge right down the middle that would push you to one side or the other into your hole. My wife and I are not large people at all either and both slept pretty terribly. Last and very minor thing, the shower head they had was unusable in the bathroom, it would throw water straight up to the window due to the pressure and the mechanism that held it in place. Again had to have HOC come by and switch out the head but we were able to get that functioning thanks to a new head and some electrical tape. With all that being said, the potential seems to be there with better upkeep and maybe some more regular maintenance.
