The room was fine except that the carpets should be changed out for hard wood or wood like flooring due to the dirt/musty smell. Be aware when using the fireplace, our Carbon Monoxide detector went off at 1 am when we were burning the hotel provided fire log. duraflame. We had to evacuate our room and be relocated to another room. I asked to talk to the manager and left my name and number but she did not respond to my email or request for call. The front desk gave us a refund for the one night. As a result I reported the issue to the fire department in Santa Barbara to do an inspection on the rooms to make sure the fire places and COz monitors are in proper working order because we could have died from Carbon Monoxide poisoning. Maybe the fireplace was blocked? I do not know. The fire department said they were going to do an inspection. I would recommend that you bring a portable carbon monoxide detector if you are staying here.

Parking is a bit tight but the overall property is very lovely. My only complaints were the intense moldy/musty smell in the room. Had a sore throat and was feeling nauseous by the next morning. Overall is quiet but having a room on the 1st floor with very loud walkers above and being right next to the staircase wasn't the greatest combo.

Super cute, clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet had delicious scones, muffins, and Danishes. Might be hard to walk up flights of stairs with a suitcase and thought they should have had plates for the muffins and an alternative to Tea and Coffee - maybe juice - for the continental breakfast.

Perfect couple getaway

Very nice and quite cottage right in the center of Santa Barbara. You can walk anywhere. Room was in the back, which was great as we had total privacy on the patio too.

The location is wonderful… close to State Street and within walking distance of the Arlington theate, the court house, the presidio and many fabulous restaurants. We also took a Lyft to the newer ‘ Funk Zone’. Great vibe there.
