What makes this place special is both the setting and the people. Nestled in the Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary, it offers spectacular views of the Western Ghats. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and hearing the sounds of the rainforest from our cabin balcony. Our cabin was tastefully appointed, and a tea and snack cart is provided and replenished every day. I made use of the spa and it was awesome, with the massage rooms set in huts above the swimming pool. The pool itself was lovely, in an idyllic setting and very attentive service (we ordered food and drinks). We cannot say enough about the kindness and professionalism of the staff! Deepak set us up with airport transfers to and from the resort; Shubam organised day trips to Old Goa and the beach; Rini gave me first-class spa treatment; and Shazam and Gaurav were the food and wine experts in the restaurant. Every meal we had was excellent and they emphasize local cuisine. The Goan thali was excellent, and all of the breakfast items we ordered were tasty and beautifully presented. We really loved this place; its remote setting makes for long drives to Old Goa, the beach and the airport but it’s well worth it for the peaceful and spectacular setting, the genuinely kind and professional staff, and the outstanding restaurant.
