This is not a 5 star hotel. Rooms are old. With old furniture. The structure of the resort is not good. The staff will not let you sit at the restaurant if you don't buy anything even if you are guest.
Visited thi beach in Nov 2019. Excellent white sand beàch in south goa, one of the best in south goa. Sea facing restuarant really good. Amaizing swimming pool, landscaped garden. Parasailing and speed boat options available.
Although this hotel is classified as a 5 star hotel we think it is a 4 star hotel with 2 star for service. The hotel suffers from a lack of maintenance especially the bathrooms and all room/bathroom doors & frames could do with an uplift. The service from the reception staff has no personal touch and they are very inflexible and only willing to do the minimum. The restaurant staff are more friendly and focused on customer care & satisfaction. I would like to give a special mention to Surekha for being extremely professional, friendly and completely focused on delivering to our expectations. The restaurant menus have limited choices especially vegetarian options and they are reluctant to cater for any variations from the menu. The hotel facilities are split over several floors and the hotel does not have a lift. Yes, you read correct, the hotel does not have a lift so elderly and physically challenged people would be totally restricted. As they claim there is a buggy for transportation from hotel grounds to the beach but you will be very lucky if you can even get one ride during your entire stay as the buggies are virtually non existent. When you complain you are told to report to reception and the reception staff don't really care. Personally we think the hotel only focuses on Wedding party guests and other guests are neglected. We had several issues with booking airport pick up taxi and had to chase the hotel several times for confirmation and despite stating passenger numbers and luggage requirements in all correspondence they failed to send adequate taxi for our pick up and we had to hire another taxi from the airport and the hotel expected us to pay for both taxis. The driver the hotel had sent waited in the car park instead of the arrivals as we were told by the hotel. It took us an hour to locate the driver just to find out that our baggage would not fit in the car and we had to hire a second taxi.
Almost perfect....!!! 4 night stay in October 2019 1st week was a memorable experience. The beach, the pool, the restaurant.....all enjoyable and well maintained. Good food good rooms good landscape. Ideal for family holidays and peace lovers.
We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The gardens and beach areas are kept immaculately well. The buffet food was good with a varied and large selection. We stayed here around 12 years ago and the rooms haven’t had much refurbishment in that time and could do with an overhaul. This was the only disappointment with our stay as it doesn’t feel as 5 star these days. The staff were all lovely and very kind especially Chef Sudipta who took time to chat and take care of us. The hostess Surekha always went the extra mile to welcome us and bring items she new we enjoyed. All waiting staff were excellent. Staff like this make a huge difference to your stay.
Much was expected, but Overrated. Requested for item at 10.40, was denied as time was up at 10.30😏. They also denied to serve doughnuts to my 14 year old kid and stated that they don't have it. In fact they started clearing tables at 10.15. Bar is also ordinary. They were playing post match discussion in 🙄 a bar. Upon request, they switch. over to music channel on tv. Breakfast was also ok. Sorry Zuri, you don't Rock. Wouldn't recommend.
They have beautiful private beach which they have maintained it alot. The center of attaraction is the beach and also the pool with island bar. They have a shack but it was not completely open in september due to monsoon. Try out their goan dish which is fabulous by chef paul. Divya we loved ur nature and your talks also. Thank you for letting us know so much about Goa.
We stayed here for 5 nights in October 2019 (2 adults and a 6 year old child). The hotel is large but because it only has 2 floors it doesn't feel big. The highlight is the main swimming pool - it's huge with lots of little areas where you can feel like you're in a private pool, a waterfall and a poolside bar you can swim up to. There's also a second pool which is also a really decent size. The gardens and grounds are beautifully maintained, and it's a short walk through the gardens to a beautiful beach. The food at the hotel is great - we ate at the buffet restaurant most evenings, which offered a huge choice of Indian dishes plus other types of food. Breakfast is also great, with lots of different choices on offer. The staff are all helpful, polite and extremely friendly. The room was very comfortable - some of the details and decor could do with a bit of tidying up and a fresh coat of paint. Nothing major - but it feels like the grounds and pool areas receive more attention than the rooms when it comes to maintenance. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend the Zuri White Sands. We came away feeling relaxed, and that we'd been well cared for, in a hotel that we thought offered pretty good value for money.
As with anything, hotels need maintenance and this one was busy with a lot of it. The grounds are very impressive and really well maintained. The pool area vast, clean but showing its age. Of course the beach isn't far & I headed for that. Other reviews have noted that the rooms smell a bit musty. There are signs of water ingress, I've seen this before in many hotels & it is a big problem to fix. However, once you get used to it, the rooms are a little tired but a high standard and comfortable. The casino isn't glamorous at all and if you were thinking a night of "high roller" activity might be fun, find somewhere else. It is small, grubby and overcrowded. It isn't a tourist attraction more a destination for local gamblers. Really, don't make this criteria for choosing this resort. It's not a nice experience. There is a small gym, in good condition. Complimentary steam & sauna facilities (book in advance). There is a spa & a quick look at the menu showed it to be hugely overpriced. There isn't much else nearby, walk up the beach a little way and there is an independent bar/ restaurant, just outside the front gate there is another local bar but that is about it. You are tied to the resort but that isn't so bad. Bar was good. Second restaurant closed as I visited just before the season gets going. Would I return? Perhaps I will if I fancy a couple of days resort time. On balance it is ok against the price point.
Stayed with my wife and 11 years old son during August 2018. We loved this huge property which offers sort of a private white sand beach. It is not a 5 start property but a high 4 star. Here is my detailed review: Positives: ========== * Location: Excellent. You got to walk for 2 mins to reach at the beach. * Resort surroundings: It is a big property with lots of well maintained greenery / gardens around. V. good landscaping. * Swimming pool: They have got 2 well maintained swimming pools, one of which is v. big and beautiful. V. nice landscaping around the pool. They have a restaurant attached to this pool where they serve alcohol and food from (limited menu though). The attached changing rooms and washrooms are clean. Hot multiple beds around it. Free and clean towels are provided. * Rooms: We stayed in Superior room which is quite big and comes with attached good balcony facing gardens and pool inside. They put v. good quality / comfortable king size bed. Clean linens. * View from rooms: Mostly are garden facing. Some are with swimming pool view as well. No sea view. * Bathroom: Good, Decent size, Hygienic with quality toiletries * Restaurant & Food: Main restaurant makes very good food but for me it is quite expensive (Buffet: Approx. Rs. 2000/- per adult and 850 per kid). Breakfast was awesome with very good spread including live counters for paranthas / pooris etc and very good south indian dishes. They have got another Chinese food restaurant also which I did not try. * Bar: Tangerine bar serves v. nice cocktails and food for munching * Activities: Limited - Grounds to play cricket / football, Tennis court, pool table (charge basis), Cycling (charge basis). They have got some activity room for small kids but surely not enough activities for a little grown up ones. * Parking: Plenty of car parking is available. They can clean your call with some payment. * Staff: Could have been better. Not all are so well behaved and genuine. * Spa: Good one but expensive * Shack: They have got shack right on the Varca beach, which was closed in August time * Check-In/Out: Quick Negatives: ========== * Expensive food and beverages * Slightly expensive stay for a 4 star property * No sea view rooms * Casino allows people from outside. * Shack was not operational in August. They could have at least put some sun beds. * Cycling was on-charge basis * I would have loved had they given a deal/offer including dinner as well
