First off i booked the room online. When i paid for the room at the "resort" i was charged $10 more. I questioned it and was told it a resort fee and is in the fine print. I could care less about the money but hearing its in the fine print, i was mad cause they want to try and slide it by you. Like i said $10 is not the issue, the issue is trying to hide the charge. Called the night before i had to cancel for free to see if the hot tub and indoor pool worked. Was told everything is fine no problems. Well i walked all the way dowm to the hot tub and got in and it was colder then the pool. The room itself is very dated. Also, you get more in a motel 6 room off the highway. No mini fridge. No microwave. I was told you have to request a fridge. Must be another way to milk you for money since the drinks in vending machines are $3. All in all for $200 a night, the next time I'm in sandusky, i'd rather rough it sleepong in the car at camp snoopy the stay here

Out room had a horrible odor. It was urine smell. They moved us to another room and it smelled just as bad. They allow pets in rooms. Being in the cleaning/carpet cleaning business I know the smell of dog urine. It was horrible.

Everything was good except the WiFi is so terrible

We told the front desk the telephone in room 2105 was not working and they had someone come up and try and fix the problem, but it was not resolved. So we had no working telephone in our room. We had to mentioned to the front desk that the tub drain was clogged and it was then fixed. The indoor pool was wonderful. We loved the Indian culture and history surrounding the inside décor.

This “resort” has great potential! But, it lacks in updates. I feel like this hasn’t been touched for 20 years. The bad things are: The smell. It’s smells of musty mold constantly. Old everything Felt abandoned...even though we saw guests staying here Therapeutic pool was not warm enough The nice things about this place are: Nice toiletries Comfortable beds Good hair dryer Large indoor and outdoor pool

This is a nice hotel resort with a private beach. I little outdated though and the Hot Tub was cold. Besides ourselves we heard many people complain about this. The front desk claims it's a therapedic pool however, the jets weren't strong enough to support that claim.. I think they didn't want to heat it. Overall the location, food and the natural preserve with hiking trails next door made it a very nice stay. Overall I would recommend it.

Overall, I liked the rooms but you can hear what goes on in the rooms above you and out in the halls. Those people could have been extremely loud. Central location to being able to do things in the area. Nice, quiet and peaceful. Golf course looked beautiful. I was sorry I didn't bring my golf clubs.

The room was clean but lacked a microwave and refrigerator which would be nice for families. Nice place.

It was quiet and the food was terrific. Clean and very friendly staff.

My girlfriend and I went to Sawmill Creek Resort for our anniversary. The staff was super friendly, the room was fantastic. My only complaint about the hotel was the food in the hotel restaurants. We otherwise had a great time and we will be staying there again.

Room was great, staff was extremely helpful, overall wonderful getaway.

Our family held a dinner in honor of family twins who had their 75th birthday. Fifteen of us ages 12 to 78 had dinner. The staff was outstanding. All orders were correct, the service was timely, and the primary server was above and beyond any expectations. The food was very good and not one complaint from the group. The rooms were clean and cared for. An upgrade of TV's is urgently need to flat screens. The TV's in the hotel were unacceptable for 2013.

We return to Sawmill Creek Resort multiple times a year. We love the private beach, 2 pools to choose from, awesome rooms with Jacuzzi tubs, the golf course, etc. Our friends had their yacht docked there for years.

TOTALLY OUTDATED, UNCOMFORTABLE BEDS. DIM AND DEPRESSING. CHECKED OUT ONE DAY EARLY.

the staff was rude when I called to verify reservations and ask questions about the resort, the room had a musty odor the beach is a distance away and not very clean
