Great staff, clean room but very loud. The walls are thin and we could hear kids running the halls, people arguing, and doors slamming. This did not stop most of our stay. Again, the folks that work at Fireside were fantastic and the room was very clean.

Very bad check in expedience

Our check-in experience was extremely poor. The receptionist, Angelina, was unhelpful and unprofessional. After an eight-hour drive, and despite me providing the Hotels.com reservation number, our full name, and showing her the booking confirmation on my phone, she refused to assist in locating our second room reservation. She insisted that I call the booking agency because "there was no second room reservation." and I had to figure out with them. When I expressed my frustration with her lack of assistance, she responded that she was "matching my energy." This stressful and unprofessional exchange occurred in front of seven guests, including two children. In the end there was a reservation and she didn't look it properly. I expect a much higher standard of customer service and professionalism from a hospitality business, especially when interacting with families after a long day of travel. Sincerely,

After driving several hours we arrived to find that the office was locked with nobody to check us in. We had to sit outside along with several other people who arrived with the same issue. I have never arrived at a hotel that had no one at the front desk at a typical check in time. A note was on the door that the office was closed for a half hour for a lunch break. For the price we paid, I feel there should be someone available to check us in. It was a Friday evening at 7:00 pm.

the place is a great getaway, directly across from ocean. the staff was average or below, indicated an early arrival time was available but actualliy ended up getting us into the room late. Lobby always opened late for coffee or tea.

The hotel is nicely kept. The young man who was at the front desk seemed a little lost with simple request. The rooms don’t have AC, a detal I missed. Made for a frustrated wife. An open window and a fan helped smooth things over.

When we checked in we were greeted by a friendly young man who was very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately when I tried to book another night a day later the girl who helped me was not very helpful. We were told we had to check out and not be able to check in till 4:00. I should've not been urprised when her phone case on the counter read, Don't F*** with me. Also breakfas is not offered. We made reservations elsewhere for the third night.

Super Cute Inn in Cambria

Fireside Inn was lovely! Super cute place right across from a great place to walk along the beach in Cambria. Also a very quick drive away from Cambria's restaurants and little downtown area. The only thing lacking was a ceiling fan. We stayed in the summer and while it wasn't too hot, it would have been nice to get the air moving while we slept. Overall a lovely place and we will likely be back!
