We checked in Friday night and were assigned room 104, my wife and I went for a weekend break without the kids. On Friday we slept very late with the surprise that at 6am on Saturday we woke up with hammering on the wall where the bed is, we spoke to reception and they told us that the previous day they had the same problem as the neighbors are collapsing the wall that adjoins the wall of my room, but that they had promised that on Saturday they would not work, but it was not like that. We had to leave the room because it was unbearable to be there, when talking to the people in charge they apologized, but I complained if they knew about the problem so that they give me that room I hoped that they would not charge me that night since I fell asleep 2am they woke me up 6am and I had to leave the room. In conclusion they told me that they could not do anything and at a rate of 200usd they discounted me 15usd. It makes me an abuse and lack of interest with their guests and simply for the lack of service and integrity I would not stay there and more when there are so many boutique hotels killing to give the best service.

Stayed here and the room was a nice size. We were on the first floor with double beds. Has a nice cozy courtyard, pool and gym. The gym was closed but I didn’t ask for it to be opened I’m sure they would have. Our room was big with a sitting area with tv and fireplace. The bathroom was a good size I would recommend a shelf or table to put your things on in the shower area.

During the Day- Great hotel. Needs a little TLC or revamp if possible. Rooms are clean and large. Walking distance to everything. Bad location at night - If you are a night owl you will love this location. If you like to hear the music from the next door club till 4 am. You will like this location. Unfortunately, I am not an night owl even though i like to go out and come back to the hotel around 12 - 1 am to sleep. But unable to sleep due to the music from next door rooftop.

The master suite was spacious however it lacked amenities. We were four people staying in the room and they kept stocking it only for two; towels, water etc. The staff were completely unhelpful and we really felt that they did not care one bit. There wasn't any hot water until the shower had run for 15 minutes! It is in an excellent location.

No heating in the room therefore freezing cold not something you should go for! Room old skool if you like the fotos go for it more for a 1 night price ok thing here as in the middle of town There are better choices...

We were excited to return to Casalinda Hotel after 5 years but were disappointed. The hotel has become quite run down and really needs a revamp! It is a shame as this hotel is in a perfect location, less than 5 minutes walking distance to the main Jardin de Allende. The restaurant was dead and the nice bar that was previously located at the front was closed as was the rooftop bar. This didnt leave anywhere to have a nice drink in the evening! The showers were appalling and didnt work, flicking between hot and cold every few minutes and one morning had ants crawling around it! The worst part of the whole trip was the banging music that started about 10.30pm on Friday night from the club next door. We woke up to the windows shaking and we were not able to sleep again until 3am...this is a hotel that could be great but right now is FAR from it!!!

Clean and great location but the reception was very bumpy, we had to wait like 45 min to get helped by the valet as he was busy doing something else and we were waiting in the car in the corner because no one could come to help us, we did have a reservation and they should have expect guests. The hotel is nice and nicely put together.

While this has an excellent location, I found some of the promotional materials misleading. We booked a Junior suite for seven nights with a fireplace and free breakfast. Upon arrival, the fireplace did not work and the breakfast was at another location, Casa Luna, four or five blocks away from Casa Linda. We use the free breakfast once, but did not go back again. The suite felt run down and dark. It had no bedside lamps, which they provided upon my request. I bought a bunch of candles and place them on top of the fireplace to get the rooms some ambience. I would have liked a big area rug in the room. The sheets and bed were good and the TV and wifi worked well. According to other reviews, the Wi-Fi only works in common areas.

The hotel is very well located. The hotel is run down, needs an update urgently. We stayed in the master suite and it is very spacious, it didn't have a telephone, there was no wifi, there are 2 bathrooms which is weird, the tiles and bathtubs need a good cleaning to remove water stains. The rooms or at least the master suite should have a coffee maker, a mini bar. The restaurant does not open until 8- 8:30 so it's difficult to get a cup of coffee. The woman in the front desk is very helpful. The hotel prices are reasonable but it definitely needs an update.

I read all the reviews for this hotel before I booked. I thought the room was clean and I would stay here again. I was there for a wedding and the city is beautiful and we felt very comfortable walking around at night. The only problem as stated by other guest is the music at night from the club on the corner. Get your mind right for that and if you're there to party you will not mind the music.
