We stayed here after being very disappointed at our original hotel, so got on line and booked 2 nights for the end of our holiday at santa barbara. We did the same 5 years ago and question why we didnt just book here in the 1st place. We live and learn and WILL be coming back next year. We love love this hotel. It is just simply tranquil, it has amazing customer focus and the staff cannot do enough for you. We mentioned we could not find the remote control for the bedroom TV. Within 20 mins we had one. At our last hotel we mentioned a leak from a bulging ceiling and 2 days later they reluctantly moved us. Santa barbara has everything you need in a holiday location. Themed evenings, entertainment that is not over the top but enjoyable , something for the kids at night, although only about 5 of them here.. we booked a 2 bedroom as was all they had left last minute, we did not expect each bedroom to have an on suite and for there to be a family bathroom too..the view was amazing, just everything is perfect. Thank you again santa barbara.
Having chosen this for a last minute holiday last week, I was over the moon to see the result of my choice, having arrived after a delayed flight and selecting a studio to be given a sea view 1 bed apt was fantastic! Check in with Chritina was easy and fast..even helped to my apt with a young man who took my case-i think I may have gotten lost without him. The apt itself is easily the nicest I have stayed in- has everything you need right down to can openers, pegs and every utensil you need..so lovely! And the feel..just lovely..aircon in main rooms, and complimentary water and milk/tea/coffee ..Perfect touch..loved my private sun loungers, just the perfect relaxed holiday in a quieter resort..Perfect view..welcoming staff..well done everyone, thanks 😊😊
Booked the Santa Barbara Golf & Ocean Club resort as a last minute holiday. Definitely not disappointed, I had read the other reviews prior to booking. Went with the family (kids aged 10 & 13). This resort is lovely, rooms are spacious and clean, staff are really friendly and the resort itself is spotless. Plenty of areas to sunbathe. Lots of activities going on throughout the day around the pool area that you can join in with or just watch, these included water aerobics, water polo, water basketball, bingo etc. Food is also really good, whether it's at the beach cafe or resort restaurant. Most nights we went out to eat along the beach, plenty of restaurants to choose from and all pretty good. Table tennis, pool, gym and spa also available. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of going. Bonus is that the resort is only 10-15 drive from the airport.
Came back for again 3rd time at this hotel. Everything superb 5* will be back. Great room, service and food. Very clean and super friendly staff - very relaxed after the week- highly recommend - enjoy
Myself, my husband and 3 children recently stayed at the Santa Barbara Golf and Ocean Club by Diamond Resorts for 2 weeks. We had a beautiful 2 bed villa facing the ocean and the marina, the kitchen area was very well equipped and overall the bedrooms, lounge and bathrooms were all nice and spacious. We had the outside terrace (by the lounge area) which was lovely and had a balcony area from the master bedroom to sit and chill in the evenings. It was just perfect. The resort itself was lovely, the pools were great, the kids entertainment was good and the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The town itself is very nice. Its one of the quieter places i would say, but that for us personally as a family was perfect. You do have some lovely restaurants around too esp along the seafront. There is also a supermarket in the area and a gift shop too that we saw. We really enjoyed our stay there very much and hope to return in the near future.
This was our first time staying in this hotel, we usually stay at a hotel nearby and didn’t think anything could beat our usual hotel until we visited here. It really is a beautiful hotel with lovely staff. We stayed in room 229 which was lovely, huge balcony with sun loungers too which was a pleasant surprise. The only slight problem with this room is the occasional smell of sewage every now and again but not enough to make us want to move room. The kitchen had everything you needed for a self catering holiday including washing up liquid, tea towels, cloths, pegs .. you name it, they had it! They even have bottled water, milk, tea and coffee for when you arrive. Your cases are even taken to your room with you, check in was so easy and pleasant. Our room wasn’t quite ready when we arrived so we popped over to the local bar for some lunch and they rang us to let us know when it was ready. The pool was amazing, the kids loved it but no inflatables in main pool. It was so nice to see lifeguards taking towels off sunbeds from people who have reserved them. We were usually down to the pool for around 9:30 and there was very few beds around the baby pool because for some strange reason it was full of people without children even though there is an adults only terrace. We already know the area is quiet but this is why we love golf del sur, so please don’t expect party central but there’s plenty of restaurants along the sea front and enough for our children to be kept occupied. We cannot wait to re visit this hotel, thank you for an amazing holiday!
We were there 4 days and 3 nights. There is high end restaurant inside, there is a bar and snack on 2nd floor. Pools and plenty of activity for kids. Special area for kids ONLY. Kid size chest set. Ping pong table and so on. There are not many shops or restaurants near. there is a few basic shopping an few hundred feet away form the entrance, but not much else. there is a small grocery shop in the basement, that has most of the basic items. You can buy fruits, water, beverages , candy, bread, pasta, meat, and so on. Prices are a bit higher than local supermarkets, but by not much. if you do not have a car, then this small shop is fine. Shore is in the back of the resort that you can walk to in 5 minutes. But, it is made of sharp volcanic rock, hard on your feet. Although ocean water is great. Daily entertainment activity is posted for Kids and adults. Front desk is helpful in finding tours and activities around the island. English is prevalent as much as Spanish. if you can get an ocean view room, then it is like being in Greece Islands.
Could not recommend this this hotel highly enough we visited in mid August the hotel was amazing we had a 2 bed apartment, own kitchen( 3 Bath) with Balcony which over looked the swimming pool and sea. The hotel is great for families the swimming pool has recently been completely refurbished, there is small pool for young children and outdoor spa, The staff could not be more helpful nothing was to much trouble, they always had a smile on there faces, the supermarket is a 15 min walk from the hotel would recommend going to Santa Cruz on a tour, you have to go Sian Park wow what an amazing day out, the restaurant in the hotel was excellent great selection overall could not fault the hotel if booking through a tour operator which we did be carefully as we were charged around £60 EUROS for the transfer from the airport to the hotel a taxi in only £20 EUROS there are local restaurants within a 5 minute walk from the hotel Rockman family
Such a beautiful resort! Everything about it is just perfect. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the rooms are very well equipped and it feels like you are the first person the stay in them as they seem like new. The views are amazing and the location is wonderful if you like a little bit of something going on, but not too rowdy. Lots of good quality restaurants nearby and excellent taxi and bus services. The pool and pool area is lovely and there are always plenty of sunbeds. There is a small beach a short walk away that is brilliant for wave jumping and swimming. We have been coming here for 16 years on and off and we will most certainly be returning.
I can’t recommend this resort highly enough for families. We had booked a one bed family room but upon arriving found that we had been upgraded to a 2 bedroom which made life easier. The rooms are massive and there is plenty within the kitchen areas for you to cook 3 meals a day should you wish. The upgrade of the pool is great. There are three entrances to the pool with one of the entrances been a slope so that you can gradually walk into the pool. This helped with my 3 year old daughter so that she could still stand up a fair way in to the pool. The pool area is closed off until 9am when they allow you to attend and put towels down. There were plenty of spaces around the pool but shade is at a premium so get there earlier if you’re wanting to be sat by a parasol which are fixed to the ground and therefore cannot be moved. All of the entertainment staff were great and really enthusiastic. Special mention to Irene and Diego, even if they did make me get up to do the parents games on an evening! This isn’t a resort which had hundreds of kids but the staff made sure all those who were there enjoyed themselves. The evening entertainment was good, there was usually a singer / dancer on. I have got to say that if you are fortunate to be there when “Al Cafone” is there then make sure you get there early. He is one of the best entertainers I have ever seen in a hotel environment - I won’t spoil the surprise but make sure you go. The terrace bar area is nice on an evening, one this I would say is that they usually only have 1 member of staff working in the early evening - he was fantastic but sometimes due to cocktails etc. been ordered, he was run ragged and could have done with some help. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel and an Irish bar over the road showing all live sport which were all nice but we tended to walk the 15-20mins to the square at San Blas as it was a nice walk along the coast. Golf Del Sur isn’t a massively busy area with loads of things to do but if you are looking to go for a relaxing holiday with a younger family then I can’t recommend this hotel enough.
