Historical gem

Amazing very large rooms with jetted tubs. The building is historical but well taken care of. The staff were great and very helpful. Hope to stay here again on my next visit to Atascadero.

Pardoning their dust is easy!

The hotel is gorgeous. Too bad the timing made it so that half my floor and other parts were closed for construction. That wasn't the best sight to see but most of the other beautiful sights mostly made up for it!

Don’t change too much.

Love the new mural. However the new green color in the room does not look good at night w the lights on. It turns a sickly green. The old color works better. It’s more restful in the rooms. Don’t change too much. The old furniture is lovely. Just need a good shampooing if the carpet. And larger bath towels.

This was our 2nd stay in the last few weeks, the Carlton is a beautiful property and the rooms are beautifully decorated. After recently renovating our bathrooms I would imagine the bathrooms must have cost $50,000+ to have such a high level of finish, very nice!

I would be giving this place 5 stars. They were under renovation so that threw it down. Sadly our hot tub did not work and the management did wave my late check out for the lack of hot tub working properly. There were some dry wall issues in the room, dirty carpets and dirty furniture. Overall it was a beautiful room. Very spacious and absolutely quiet. Large beautiful bathroom, bed was very comfortable and very spacious. Linens were fantastic. Service was great!! Sadly no food options, no vending machines for water or drinks. Small choice of drinks behind check in desk.
