We found this great hotel near by the place our car was broken...it was wonderful to spend the night there! It was a pity we could not stay more, because it was great accommodation, excellent food and very polite and helpful staff.
What a wonderful getaway we had at the Allegretto. After enduring the fires, holiday cancellation disappointments, the new tax law and all, we just had to get out of Dodge (Santa Barbara). Our friends on mandatory evacuation had said they had a wonderful experience at this virtually new property complete with their animals. We were welcomed with grace to this luxurious property and treated so professionally, in spite of bring our four legged friend as well. We will return again as time allows.
This was our second stay at Allegretto. We love the room with the hardwood floor and soaring high ceilings, not to mention the amazing shower. We were only there for one short night, but plan to return this summer. We also love the restaurant. Highly recommended!
fantastic experience for new years day... great destination spot to relax and the wine tasting and restaurant on site makes an all in one stop! the customer service is stellar. while a perfect destination for a wedding, this second visit on a quieter day was quite magical...enjoying wine by the fireplace.
We booked 3 nights at Allegretto based on the positive reviews of other guests. Despite bad weather (it was the first week on January) we had a fantastic time and a large part of that is our very positive experience at Allegretto. We happened to meet the owner, Doug Ayres, within minutes of checking in. He made sure we were happy with our room, and that we knew to check out a few of the highlights of the property, which included and amazing, massive 2,500+ year old sequoia tree slice, beautifilly displayed in one of the lobby lounges. The entire property has been developed beautifully, full of fabulous artwork and items of antiquity. The restaurant, Cello, was also very good, and we loved hanging out at the bar with Stephen and several locals who frequent this lovely place. And we enjoyed their boutique wine tasting so much, led by Roxanne, we became members of their club.
We had two wonderful nights at the hotel. Our room was very comfortable with a beautiful outdoor seating area. The hotel has an internal courtyard with some very pretty features, an inviting swimming pool and sun lounging area. Good selection of food at the restaurant including gluten free options. Visited the spa for an excellent massage. Staff were generally very helpful and friendly
what an awesome resort! From the second that we parked our car, we were greeted by warm/friendly staff, breath taking views, excellent customer service and a romantic experience! The poolside cabanas are gorgeous, the spa was amazing, the wine was delightful and breakfast was superb :-) You literally check in and stay to relax and unwind; there's no need to leave (ever--lol). The rooms are decorated with beautiful decor and the beds are fantastic! I spent a lot of time smiling near the pool and fire pits inside the enclosed courtyard! I cant wait to return to this property soon...
Great service, amazing property - very well kept. Close to all the vineyards. We stayed with a toddler and she had a great time running around the resort, looking at the chistmas tree, playing with the dogs, at the pool and so on. Great stay
Enjoyed the newness of the facility; the room, common areas, and grounds are very new and nicely designed. Staffing problems however are severe. Our room service breakfast-meal never arrived, after several attempts to call that went unanswered, the second breakfast order that did arrive was wrong. The restaurant is understaffed and seating capacity is very limited to the extent that we could not be accommodated for dinner on our first night. By the end of each evening wine bottles/glasses and half eaten food littered all of the lobby fireplace areas, and the courtyard fire-pit seating as well.
When our Ojai plans changed because of fire we booked here. I couldn't have been more pleased with our choice! Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms lovely and clean. We had a great dinner at their restaurant. I would definitely come here again.
