Summary:
Welcome to our cute, private, quiet guest house known as The Avocado Hut. The house is a 2 bedroom 1 bath with a full kitchen and a wonderful private outdoor space (as well as adjacent parking). We’ve set you up with all the supplies you need to enjoy the beach! Just pack vacation clothes and enjoy the local life! Peace and Love.

The Space:
This is a wonderful, cozy two bedroom guesthouse. It is set up for vacationing travelers (but is also ideal for longer term stays as well). There is a private outdoor space, great for entertaining or just enjoying your morning coffee. You have an assigned parking space just behind the guesthouse off the alley. Once you park you enter the private yard that is centered on a gorgeous avocado tree. Sunny San Diego is all about the weather so we spared no expense to make the outside the place to be (note the wifi works just as well out here as inside!). Once you enter the home you are treated to a king bed, queen bed and sofa bed to accommodate up to 5 guests. A complete kitchen (full oven and gas stove, microwave, blender, and toaster) as well as an in-unit washer/dryer make this guesthouse a perfect complement to your visit to San Diego. Note: if you are a fan of Dakota Johnson's kitchen this is the place for you.

The Neighborhood:
This home is on the Point Loma Peninsula with the harbor and fishing on one side and the beach life on the other. With only a half mile walk to the beach, restaurants and bars, this location allows you to live amongst the locals and walk into the excitement. A private yard space allows for a nice relaxing stay at home while you BBQ up a fresh catch right before walking to the top of the block to catch a 180 degree view of the San Diego sunset over the pacific (you can also head up early in the AM and catch the sunrise as it lights up downtown San Diego, the harbor, and the Coronado bridge.)

Getting Around:
A locals guide will be provided upon arrival to the Avocado Hut. We’d promote you walk the neighborhood and of course we will highlight the places you will not want to miss! With sunset cliffs walk being one of the top 10 most romantic spots in San Diego, you’ll be right on your way

Interaction with Guests:
We are a self-service destination (check-in details will be sent 3 days prior to arrival). However, we are also a full-service, professional management company (that has been a Superhost for over 10 years running) and we are just a phone call/text/email away and have agents that are almost never more than 10 minutes away should a need arise. in a pinch, the owners are on-site and reside in the main house if you have an urgent need.
The cottage is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a sofa bed, and a coffee maker.

San Diego adventure!

A friend and I spent a week in San Diego. The Avocado Hut was perfect. We loved that it has two bedrooms and a living room and kitchen area. The private outdoor space was beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay! I would definitely stay at the Avocado Hut any time I visit San Diego!

Quiet and nice hot tub, but lousy mattresses

Enjoyed the peacefulness and hot tub. The mattresses were the worst I have ever slept on. With the amount of money paid, you would expect some decent mattresses. Did not sleep much. You definitely need a car or at least bicycles staying here to get anywhere in Pt. Loma without walking 20-30 minutes.

Awesome Avocado Hut Stay

We came to San Diego to reunite with our son after his 9 month deployment. This adorable house was the perfect place for us to unwind, and spend quality time. The beds were super comfy, hot tub experience was amazing, directions & check in were easy. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking, enjoying morning coffee, & relaxing. Being a tall family we especially appreciated the high shower head, & hot water was abundant. Decorated very classy & cute. We walked down to the cliffs when the sun went down & it was amazing. I would highly recommend this place to stay & we will be back in the future!! 5 Stars all the way!

The house was great for our family. We 2 under 4 and they loved the beach toys and the hot tub. House had everything we needed for our 2 year old, including a pack and play and camping style highchair! Great for small families and great outside space.

Ripe in the Middle of All Things San Diego

Very nice 2 bed / 1 bath cottage in a wonderful neighborhood right in the middle of many of the greatest places to site see and explore. If you have never been to OB, this is one of my favorite places in San Diego. Food, drinks, shopping, farmer's market...Taco shops, bar and grill's, noodles...you name it. This Cottage was well stocked with essentials. If you need ore there is OB Peoples Grocery or a couple miles away Target, Walgreen's, etc. This Cottage has AC and in the summer AC is a necessity for me. Do know it is a mini-split AC so cooling the bedrooms and bathroom will need a little fan help. And, this cottage has fans. We were pleasantly cooled in the breeze the fans provided and that breeze allowed us to direct cooling in to the bedrooms and bathroom. The hot tub is excellent quality and perfect to ease the aches and pains of a long day of travel and exploring. The hot tub awaited us with a solid 104 degree bath in soothing current and bubbles. the Avocado Tree!! It is a patio umbrella at minimal with its curving branches full of leaves and beautiful accent lights for the evening. Providing a gorgeous place to sit and play games after burning a lil in the California sun and relaxing in the evening with a cocktail or two while planning out the next days adventures. Yes I said games.. a cornhole setup awaits you but also many board games. Wifi was a bit weak if you plan to stay connected...though this presented us little issue. Oh no.. I ran out of space for this revi

Great Hot tub!

This rental needs some TLC. Needs a fresh coat of paint in each room and some new area rugs The closet and dresser had games and videos that either needed to be relocated or reorganized because it limited storage as we were there for 10 days!The cleaning people did not do such a good job before we checked in. The owner who lives on the property was Awedome and prompt0 with some requests we had!

A beautiful location

This is a beautiful place in an amazing location! The communication with Vacation Rentals by Aaron was instantaneous. We were in San Diego for the sudden passing of my sister, and we returned after a difficult day to flowers and a bottle of wine from the hosts. An incredibly thoughtful and unexpected gesture. Very nice stay. Communication was flawless and Aaron was incredibly helpful. The property was smaller than we considered but overall roomie enough for our family of four. We did not stay indoors much. Air conditioner was helpful but you need to keep all bedroom doors open and fans on. The fridge was not very clean. Other than that a great stay.

Cute Tiny Hut!

The Hut is as pictured; two bedrooms and a bathroom. This is a great place for a couple handing out at the beach all day! The Master is a King size bed - FYI Master has no TV (my husband was not thrilled). The second bedroom has a double size mattress and a TV. This place is perfect for two/three people who do not plan on being at the property much. The bedrooms as a good size but the dining/kitchen/living room is basically a small studio. For a family of 4 (two teens) it was too small to hang out. So when we were there we were laying in bed. The dining room cart table is good for the space but too small to eat at. They had just put in Air conditioning. However the air did not reach the bedrooms and the fans were just pushing around warm air while we slept. Overall we had a good stay.
