We’ve had a great holiday inDunas. We’ve had a nice clean bungalow, the food was great, everynight a different theme. There is a gym we used everyday, the three swimmingpools are very nice with enough sunbeds, so always beds available! The service and cleaning was perfect.we’ll be back for sure someday.
Beautiful villas and bungalows in well-kept gardens with a variety of pools. Animation programme for those who want to take part but if not, they have "quiet" pools with no music etc. Very friendly staff. Food is excellent with a good choice to suit all palets.
Stayed at this complex for four nights with two teenagers and was not enjoyable Firstly the whole place needs some improvements The rooms are very dated and in need of painting the patio area was awful old paint splashed and marked and chipped Grass areas with no grass just dirt Cockroaches I saw a lot .... food was always cold breakfast and dinner poor selection Entertainment was all in Spanish ....terrible using the public for the shows is poor 10 euros each towel as a deposit during your stay was a joke And if you wanted a clean one another 1 Euro to pay shuttle to the town was only in the mornings no shuttle in the afternoon from the hotel And CATS all around the place there was CAT POO everywhere it smelt all around the pool area and you could see it .. not good for young children who could tread in it ... all in all very off putting staying here Worse 4 * hotel I have stayed in Needs to be a low end 3 *
We returned from staying here on the 24th of August 2019, following a 7 day stay .. Our experience was ruined on day 2 when our daughter became ill and for the remainder of the time we were there, she was very unwell ... It stopped us undertaking all the excursions we had planned and effectively locked us to the hotel due to my daughters health... We felt the cause could have been food and on one evening cut open chicken to find it red raw inside ! Some food once cooked was left standing and cold, we do have pictures of the uncooked food.. Upon return we took our daughter to our local GP and it was confirmed E-Coli food poisoning following stool and urine tests ... We have written to the hotel and still we haven't had a reply !! We at the very least expected a reply ... The resort as a whole is nice BUT the food is this resorts Achilles Heel !!! I would not stay here again as the food was so poor BUT more due to the lack of response to what I consider a serious health issue ... I can tell you it wasn't just us!! So many families I spoke too complained of ill health and had probably all had the same issue but unaware !
Super friendly staff and entertainment crew. No towels on the sunbeds before 10 am. And follow-up on that by staff. Free bus to the beach, plenty of taxis for trips in the neighborhoud. Large breakfast buffet (until 10.30).
What can I say ,well it is set in lovely grounds and the rooms/villas are very clean and you get room service every day There are 5 different pools to sit round so you can be in a quiet place on something a bit more noisy the larger pools have a bar and hot food that you can help your self to and there is some entertainment on and off through out the day and plenty of drinks available Now we have to talk about the buffet food this is where I feel the place has a big problems if you are here for more than 4 days will be fed up with it it is very same same same it does say on the door it is different every day but it really isn’t just the same food with different names very poor we have been getting a cab most days and eating out at a large cost on top of the holiday but if you want good food this is what you need to do and this lets the place down and for this reason we can not wait to get home for some nice food we would not return on this basis Thanks Jon
Just arrived back from a nice 9 days at the suites and villas , hotel pleasant but areas and rooms are a work in progress. Customer service poor. Having arrived late at night we checked in and were given our room (255). Upon getting into the room we realised this was not the villa that we had paid extra for and was a smaller suite that had obviously only just had work done to it. It was very dusty as it looked like it had recently been re-tiled. We went back to reception to be told they didn't have a villa available for us having paid extra !! I'm sure if we hadn't questioned the issue they wouldn't have rectified. We were told that they should have one available the next day after another guest had left. Next day we were told we could have villa 349 after a guest had left at 1300 so after cleaning would be available at 1500 but wanted us out of room 255 and to leave our luggage outside room 255 as another guest was having it !! So after wasting a good part of our first day we had our villa. Having asked at this point for a later check out on our last day we were told they would note it and to visit reception on the last day. Our Jet2 rep also said they would speak to the hotel director to arrange as we had wasted our first day. Surprise , surprise on our last day we were told NO late check out. After being fobbed off by two reception staff we finally had a heated discussion with the hotel director (Rinaldo) we kept our room until 1700 which was very helpful but as a customer we felt we shouldn't have to chase the hotel staff to resolve the issue. Ronald's told us that we should have raised the issue with him directly and it shouldn't be up to his staff to do !! Very poor attitude. Hotel food was good quality and Animation staff were all very good.
We stayed here for a week and had a fabulous time, the suite was lovely and comfortable with a nice terrace to sit outside. The hotel is in a quiet area of Maspalomas very close to the beach and shops at Melanores, both are an easy walk away. The food in the hotel was very good especially the breakfast with plenty of choice of hot or cold items and lots of fresh fruit, the only downside was the queue for the tea/coffee machine it would be good to have a separate hot water dispenser. Lunch and dinner had a wide variety of food my only comment is that there should be at least one vegetarian main course at lunch and dinner, unfortunately when we were there there was only the option to have salad or pasta unless you ordered a vegetarian meal at breakfast which we did once we found out that this was possible, I’m sure there would be lots of people who would have also enjoyed this choice if it was offered. All in a great hotel with friendly staff and good service.
I first visited this resort 2 years ago with my mum and sister and loved it so much we came back with my husband and kids aged 14 and 13, it’s really lovely with the benefit of all inclusive but your own bungalow and kitchen with fridge. There’s a choice of pools to enjoy and love that unless you are using the sun beds you can’t reserve them which is a great idea. We were. Bit shocked at first that no inflatables are allowed in the pool but ...... once the lifeguard has gone about 6 the kids can enjoy them but we did notice how chaotic it becomes and enjoyed the day without craziness and children crying because their inflatable was being used ! The all inclusive food is very good and even my picky children tucked in. The local spirits are nice but you can ask for certain brands like Gordon’s gin and ballentines whiskey in the all inclusive if you just ask ( check the menu) the staff are wonderful as are the lovely cats that bask in the sunshine outside your villa! We were lucky enough to enjoy a hotel birthday party which included an amazing foam party ! The only bad thing is that even in the evening we were given paper cups ( not in the restaurant ) and the air hockey game outside in the evening bar area is REALLY annoying when you’re trying to enjoy a drink !!!! Please move this somewhere else ! Thank you for a lovely holiday x
Last July we had our fifth stay in this resort. Unfortunately not everything met our expectations immediately this time but it has been solved to our satisfaction. But above all our compliments for José Martel. His idea of service and hospitality is of a whole other level and should be an example for all :) Always with a smile and friendly word he made our holiday special. Thanks to that we will return again in November.
