Returned from our 2nd visit in August and it was just as good (if not better) as the previous years visit when it was a Sheraton Hotel. Emailed before we arrived to ask for a specific room and I'm pleased to say it was available and ready on our arrival. Staff, rooms and location are all amazing. The food is second to none (even better than the 5* hotels in the UAE). How anyone can complain about the food is beyond me. We did go in UK school summer holidays and unfortunately some of the other guests were a little loud and vocal for my personal liking. To be specific, parents with young children who insisted on shouting their names at full volume across the pool (not once, but all day). After only one day I could name all the children. They reserved sun beds from very early and the main pool was often full of inflatables round the access steps making it difficult to get in and out. This definitely wasn't a problem in April the previous year so I assume its linked to the summer holidays. I have a young teenager so unfortunately, am not yet able to use the adult only pool. Pool towels freely available and changeable whenever required. Waiter service round the pool. Bar staff at the pool bar are excellent. We sat outside at the new bar and had cocktails most evenings which was lovely. We were unable to keep our room on the day of departure so used the spa shower and changing facilities instead. The small issues with the other guests is the only negative about this place and it will not stop me booking again (maybe just a different time of year) we love everything about this hotel and its staff. The only thing that could make it better would be to make it over 16's only.
I visited the hotel for a weeks stay with my partner and was not disappointed! The rooms are lovely fresh and modern. The hotel is massive and spreads across 11 floors. The food is incredible and I am a fussy eater but the selection was amazing rice, potatoes, chips, pasta, pizza various meats, salads, soups and even a grill and stirfry station. Every night was a theme night italian, tierra, meditation, asia and seafood. Breakfasts were also a delight, so unlike most standard hotel buffets this one I actually enjoyed! The pools are lovely and there are bars on most floors. I found most of the staff very attentive and polite most will go out their way to help you . It was my partners birthday during the stay and the hotel arranged a cake, cocktail and a free 3 hour spa circuit. During the spa day I received an absolutely fantastic massage from Carlos who was friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel for groups, couples or even travelling solo as many guests were.
I visited as a solo traveller and was not disappointed. Rooms - My room overlooked one of the main pools. If you would prefer a quieter area to sit out on your balcony I would recommend getting a golf view room rather than a standard one. I could not fault the room, it was really nice, spacious, comfy bad, large shower, spacious balcony and enough storage space. My room had a fridge, I’m not sure if this is standard as some reviews mention a mini bar. However having an empty fridge was great as I visited the spar regularly to stock up on drinks/snacks. The Spar is situated as you enter the resort and is about a 20 minute walk. Much cheaper than the resort. However they do leave you a large bottle of water in the room daily. Restaurants - I went half board and breakfast and dinner were buffet style. The restaurant is lovely, really nice setting and was never too busy. Good selection of food and amazing choice for desserts. I had lunch each day at the adults pool on the top floor. Everything I ate here was lovely, priced between €10-13. The mojitos were also lovely. Pools - I only used the adult pool on the top floor, there is also a sun terrace. It was never really busy apart from the weekend. A really chilled atmosphere. Towels are provided but they are not available until 9am. Spa - The spa is a lovely setting, with an infinity pool overlooking the mountains. I had 2 massages whilst I was there and both were fantastic. Although quite pricy but I would recommend. There isn’t much entertainment at this resort, so if you want a lively place this will not be for you. It was so relaxed but just what I wanted. I visited the gym which is very nice and is also on the top floor overlooking the mountains. I went out running and there are several trails to take around and outside the resort. The only negative thing about my trip was the transfer to the resort. Nothing to do with this hotel as it is a separate company ‘Canary shuttle’ but it is for people to be aware of if visiting this resort. The transfer would be approx 30-35 minutes however it took 2 hours to get to the hotel as we made numerous stops and this is the last drop off and the drivers sent me to several buses before someone agreed to take me even when I had pre-paid, as this hotel is set in the mountains away from the others in the area. I would definitely get a taxi next time. Overall I loved this hotel and would definitely return.
Great hotel, clean room cleaned daily ! Pool areas all nice plenty of beds - Saturday busy with locals go to pool early. Food is delicious & staff cannot do enough for you. Spa lovely had treatment reasonably priced!
Previous visits were dining when staying at the villas two year's ago, then last year's hotel package. The food was five star with amazing choices, supplemented by theme nights. Our room (Junior suite) was just as good as last year and improved with the free fridge. The free beach shuttle was easy to book and the beach house was perfect to shelter in after several hours in the sun. We didn't get the chance to experience the many pools but enjoyed the very large balcony with couches, chairs and table. The free wi-fi was perfect for calls, etc... The staff, as most contributors have noted, were the stars of the show! They not only excelled in their jobs but actively asked ways in which the hotel could improve the experience.
Loved the hotel. It’s really contemporary, has amazing food & facilities. As a vegetarian there was so much choice! Staff were really helpful and attentive. Can’t fault it in any way! Loved it and already want to return 😂
Stayed for 2 weeks and loved everything about the hotel. This was our 4th visit. Fridges in room now empty to allow you to store drinks in, or you can purchase packages in hotel. Food selection varied and extensive. Complimentary shuttle bus great facility if you wish to travel into town. Drinks are expensive in the hotel, 2 to 4 euros for water with dinner and 19 euros for cheapest bottle of wine. Staff incredibly helpful and if you wish for extra pillows or coffee etc it will be in your room within 10 minutes. 5 star hotel.
Our second visit to this lovely hotel and its twin golf courses. The rooms are well designed and very clean, the evening buffet very tasty. We particularly like the sunset pool and bar on the 11th floor. The golf courses are challenging and we just love the difficulty of the new course, my husband lost quite a few balls ( just keep it straight and you'll be fine). Can really recommend 😁
This is our second time here. The first time we came it was under the sheraton umbrella of hotels. Now under Salobre, but still as good as ever. We came back for out wedding anniversary. Stunning views situated in the mountains but still only 30mins from the airport. The Sens restaurant caters for all needs. The restaurant as a street food vibe with different themes every night. Free hotel shuttles to the Dunes and Beach. We have stayed at anantara dubai, anantara portugal, Velassaru maldives etc but this is still our favourite place. It really is special and would recommend visiting.
My second visit to this amazing hotel and resort, having first visited during 2015 when it was still under the Sheraton brand. Happy to say that being released from the shackles of Sheraton seems to have allowed the management the freedom to make some positive changes and improvements, not that my first visit here was at all bad! We were lucky to get a suite and lucky to come out of season, and these are undoubtably important factors, but it’s not all about that - the accommodation and facilities are excellent, as is the service from the friendly staff. Buffet breakfast and dinner are two major highlights of each day; for the second time I have felt terrific after a few days of being here, which is due to the excellent healthy food and relaxing resort. I’ve still most of my holiday left, but I’m more than confident in writing this review now. I promised myself when I first came that it wouldn’t be my last visit, and I don’t expect this one will be my last either! NB: I’m not a golfer, so I can’t comment on that, however, I can definitely say that you don’t need to be a golfer to have a great holiday here!
