My wife and I spent a week on half-board basis and thoroughly enjoyed it. It has extensive gardens and three pools all kept clean and served by pool bars. You can even have lunch served on trays to your sunbed. However the sunbeds are not comfortable and a hotel of this quality should be supplying mats/cushions for the beds. However the hotel could do with another access/entry point on its west side as currently you can only enter/leave by the south east corner to the beach/promenade or on the north via reception - and it's quite a long walk from one to the other and even from the Faro to the reception entrance. Food was good and plentiful in the main buffet restaurant and there was plenty of outdoor seating with good service for drinks and clearing of tables. Staff throughout were very good and friendly. We didn't try the other restaurants. The rooms were quite spacious and like the rest of the hotel recently refurbished. However there was no clock/alarm in the room, no mirror above the dressing table and the wc was separate from the bath/shower/wash room but, with no wash-hand basin beside the wc, it's not very hygenic. We have been going to the Canary Islands for over 25 years and like to try different hotels but this is one, despite my gripes, that I might revisit.
Beautiful room with swim up pool, The food in the restaurant was fabulous with plenty of choices . All the staff were welcoming and helpful at all times. The only thing which could improve it would be sun beds without arms and sun bed cushions, apart from that what a super place . A big thank you .
Fantastic, modern, up market hotel with great facilities. Room was brilliant with a great view over the sea. Superb location, close to shops, restaurants and beach. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. We have holidayed in the Canaries for many years and this has been the best experience so far. We have booked to go back summer 2020, can't wait!!!
Here’s a few pics just to whet your appetite of the transformation here at the Oasis, it truly is a beautiful place to relax and be spoiled. There are three pools to enjoy now and plenty of garden to explore .
This is where you need to go on holiday as you will come away totally refreshed and relaxed. Five star from reception to dining to the swimming pools and the cleaners Alfredo was the best at the reception
The journey that the Hotel Riu Palace Oasis has been on for the last 18 months has been a long and sometimes arduous one. The renovation work was extensive and the subsequent issues since re-opening have been well documented, but finally it seems that the hotel is getting back to its old self. We always loved the atmosphere of the old hotel and some of this is beginning to return. Of course the proximity to the beach and the extensive gardens are still the main attraction and without doubt the rooms and public areas have been greatly improved. The one thing that still lets the hotel down is the dining experience; and so, in our opinion, it is not 5 star yet. The food has improved - it needed to! - but still has a way to go. Unfortunately, the food is not clearly labelled at dinner and so it is impossible to tell exactly what you are eating - perhaps this is a good thing. The salads are totally uninspiring - the soup often cold - and there is a total lack of atmosphere. A major issue for us is that the management fails to highlight and enforce the dress code in the restaurant and men in shorts is common place. Get a grip or things will only get worse! We did really enjoy our short stay and to answer the question - "shouldn't be long now".
I last visited this hotel about 5 years ago. At that time I rated it"excellent". Since then the hotel has been refurbished and Riu have achieved the impossible and have made it even better than before!!
Beautiful hotel Immaculately maintained inside and out. Staff are friendly and extremely helpful. We went half board and absolutely loved and looked forward to the hotels breakfast each day. We did have dinner one night at the hotel, which was amazing, but preferred the freedom to choose from literally dozens of other places near by. I can't imagine a more ideally situated hotel where everything you need is within walking distance - Beach, Bus station, Restaurants, Bars, Supermarkets and Pharmacies.
My sister and I went back for a 5 day stay in the Riu Palace Oasis in September, after our first stay in August. We really had nothing back to say: the hotel staff is great and very helpful; the hotel is very clean and well looked after; the food is varied and of great quality; it feels secure and it’s right by the beach. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. We had a couple of cloudy/rainy days but the hotel can’t control the weather and made even more effort to please guests. Thank you Riu!!!
A truly wonderful holiday experience in a perfect location. From the moment of our very belated arrival due to a delayed flight nothing was to much trouble for any of the helpful considerate and efficient staff.
