We were shocked upon entering our room to find a full size refrigerator (with ice maker/water dispenser) and a full size industrial microwave. The room was spacious and clean. Later in the evening I mentioned to Steve at the front desk that it would be nice to have a second desk chair. He said he would check to see what he could do. The next thing I knew, Scott the Maintenance Engineer was knocking on my door delivering me his personal desk chair for our stay! I profusely refused to accept the chair but he insisted. When I tried offer him a tip, he declined and stated that he was glad to have us staying at the hotel. Now that is the epitome of customer service!
We stayed in this hotel last week for four nights with our family of six. Josephine was at the front desk when I came in to check in, and she was so kind and friendly - made me feel right at home and went out of her way to make our stay nice! She was so kind to our family that we looked forward to seeing her each evening when we got in. The hotel itself was very clean and tidy. The breakfast area was one of the nicest I have been to. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning. They had plenty of options to choose from. We stayed in a suite and it was perfect with plenty of room for our family. It was so nice for the kids to have an actual bedroom. The housekeeping staff made my kids day when we came into our room at night and their bed was made and all their stuffed animals were organized on the bed. They thought that was the best! My kids also loved the pool and the basketball court. If we ever get to come back to Salt Lake City, we will definitely stay at this Residence Inn again, and we hope Josephine will still be there! Thanks for a great stay!
I am partial to Residence Inn since it is usually fairly nice and has the things I need (refrigerator, microwave, etc.) This one was very nice, eero9us sized room very nice bathroom and excellent free breakfast. We stayed to catch an a early flight out of SLC and the proximity gave us maximum sleep time!
We stayed at the Residence for nearly a week. It's very nice! Staff was friendly and helpful, shuttle is reliable, location is convenient to the airport and local Trax station. Rooms are scrupulously clean!! I don't think I've ever stayed in such a clean hotel in my life (and I stay in a lot of clean hotels). Ray (the drop of golden sun) the shuttle driver was amazing and had everyone laughing. We also connected with Jeremy and Josephine at the front desk, along with many other employees who were awesome. The hotel next door has a Starbucks and bistro with tasty food, too. Our only complaint was that one member of our party was asked to check out on time after we'd arranged for a later check-out time. Slight miscommunication that was only mildly inconvenient. Otherwise, it was an excellent stay; we do not hesitate to recommend and would definitely stay there again.
I have stayed here many times associated with air travel. Since I live 6 hours from the airport, it is important to have a good hotel nearby, both before and after travel, and this Residence Inn more than meets my needs. The air conditioner works well and the rooms are usually a comfortable temperature at check-in, something I find very relaxing. The hotel staff is always friendly and tries to accommodate my requested room location. The airport shuttle is reliable. The kitchen is great to have: I bring something from home and can relax the evening before the flight and after travel, I can bring something home from dinner to nosh on, which is especially nice after international travel when the body time-clock is out of sink. Like most hotels with "free" breakfast bars, the food is mediocre but many people seem to enjoy it. Note: next door is the Courtyard which has a boarding pass printer and a great Bistro that is open late. The food there is excellent and they have beer and wine and Starbucks.
This was my first visit to Salt lake City for an overnight layover. I was pleasantly surprised at the size and amenities of the room. It had the feel of a large bachelor suite with a kitchenette and living room suite. Check in and out was efficient. The shuttle driver was efficient both ways. The free breakfast was great.
This was our third stay at this property as we passed through Salt Lake City and we were not disappointed. Rooms are clean, spacious and well stocked and would be especially comfortable for a long term stay. Indoor pool and spa area is clean and comfortable and is situated next to an outdoor patio and barbecue area. The complimentary breakfast is a plus because there is no formal restaurant at this property nor have we found many other dining options nearby.
The Residence Inn Salt Lake City Airport shuttle driver, Matthew, was so welcoming. He made us feel like family. The ride was delightful with his answers to our questions about shopping and restaurants.
Stayed here overnight for a quick get away out of town. Downtown is close and we had a late night event so it made it nice. The rooms and hotel is clean. The room we were in had a nice little kitchen and separated room. The breakfast in the morning was very good and fresh.
Room was ready when we arrived, clean and very comfortable. Enjoyed having a kitchen! The staff was very helpful and provided excellent service during the entire stay. Great breakfast with many choices. The hotel is very conveniently located for sightseeing in Utah.
