Fantastic staff and quality service here at the Salt Lake City Residence Inn. I received an unexpected room upgrade in a very quiet location complete with fireplace. Wow, for this old retired solider who has had a rough readjustment journey I could not have asked for any nicer accommodations and a genuinely caring and attentive staff of professionals. I had stayed here years ago in support of the SLC Winter Olympics and I am very pleased to see that this remains a top notch hotel conviently located both near the airport and only minutes from downtown. Food and drinks in the evenings are tip notch and breakfast is pretty darn good as well. I highly recommend this hotel to others traveling in this area. Also I would like to commend the entire staff supporting this operation for a job well done! L Hill
nice comfortable beds with sheets that fit double-double windows so the room is quiet housekeeping does a great job (even behind the bathroom doors was clean) The people working there were thoughtful and helpful and pleasant (and funny)
This is a clean and beautiful facility. The staff is super friendly! The Maintenance Manger is awesome, however. He's super friendly and definitely went above and beyond his duties during my visit. My phone charger wasn't working, it was late, and I didn't want to go out to purchase one if I didn't have to. So I called the front desk to see if they sold phone chargers. The maintenance manager answered the call and said no they didn't sell them, but asked what type of phone I had. He so happened to have had the same type of phone and said he had his personal charger with him & that he would be glad to deliver it to my room to use for the evening. He certainly went above and beyond and was a life saver!
The room was clean and beautiful. I especially loved the free breakfast buffet and commend Angelica who was staffing it. She was so very pleasant, helpful and kept it well stocked and so very clean and the food was excellent. Couldn't have been better prepared and stocked and neither could Angelica - she couldn't have given better service! She is a great employee; a real benefit to the Residence Inn. Staff at the desk both evening and morning were also excellent! I loved it and would like to stay there again and again!!!
The front desk employees were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well appointed. The walls were a bit thin so I heard a little noise from the room next door but that was not a big deal. Bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable.
I love this place... so close to the airport. Staff is wonderful, inviting you to the evening get-together and making sure you are comfortable. I had a lovely clean and quiet room. Couldn't ask for better. I was very impressed with the healthy options for the free breakfast... Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, Granola... bagels, waffles, hard cooked eggs. Very nice.
I have never felt so compelled to write a review about a hotel. First off let me state that I am a Marriott Gold member and stay in a lot of Marriott properties but consider myself non-biased. This property was the best Managed hotel of ANY property that I have stayed. It didn't matter whom you encountered, everyone was friendly, helpful and in general cared about the guest experience. While it is not too much to ask as a traveler you generally always encounter someone who is just going through the motions. NOT here. It is clearly leadership of the property that inspires, trains and empowers the staff to excel at customer experience. There are a lot of hotels in the area and this property has learned that the Guest Experience is everything and will separate them from the other properties. I did a mobile check-in and they responded within a minute that my room was ready. The outside property was immaculate. The staff member who checked me in was friendly and engaging. She mentioned that they were serving hamburgers for dinner, which was great for us. They put on quite the spread and everyone including the manager were interacting with guests who attended. Again, no one was just going through the motions. The room, 414 was very clean. Designs were made in the tissue boxes and toilet paper rolls. This is something that you expect to see out of resorts not a level 3 Marriott property. The only negative is that the room was right on the Interstate and it was quite loud. Only the rooms on the end would hear the noise. Great water pressure in the shower! I did notice a maintenance issue with water spraying out of shower head, I made mention as I was leaving and the front desk thanked me for saying something and made a note in a notebook. Again, everyone cares. I have made maintenance comments before at other properties and felt like I wasted time is saying something. The breakfast was very adequate. Again, above normal, served fresh baked pillsbury cinnamon rolls. Not so much that the product is great, the Management trying to do something above normal. One suggestion is to have melted butter in a squeeze bottle at the waffle station. While I had never seen this before, a Fairfiled Inn that I stayed in earlier in the week did this and made i super easy. More fresh fruit available than what is normal, NICE! The shuttle to the airport was timely and of course he was friendly and engaging. It was really refreshing to see such a well run property. Congratulations to the entire staff of this property! If I find myself back in SLC, I will definitely stay here again. I hope that Marriott recognizes the leadership of this property and replicates it Nationwide!
We were shocked upon entering our room to find a full size refrigerator (with ice maker/water dispenser) and a full size industrial microwave. The room was spacious and clean. Later in the evening I mentioned to Steve at the front desk that it would be nice to have a second desk chair. He said he would check to see what he could do. The next thing I knew, Scott the Maintenance Engineer was knocking on my door delivering me his personal desk chair for our stay! I profusely refused to accept the chair but he insisted. When I tried offer him a tip, he declined and stated that he was glad to have us staying at the hotel. Now that is the epitome of customer service!
We stayed in this hotel last week for four nights with our family of six. Josephine was at the front desk when I came in to check in, and she was so kind and friendly - made me feel right at home and went out of her way to make our stay nice! She was so kind to our family that we looked forward to seeing her each evening when we got in. The hotel itself was very clean and tidy. The breakfast area was one of the nicest I have been to. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning. They had plenty of options to choose from. We stayed in a suite and it was perfect with plenty of room for our family. It was so nice for the kids to have an actual bedroom. The housekeeping staff made my kids day when we came into our room at night and their bed was made and all their stuffed animals were organized on the bed. They thought that was the best! My kids also loved the pool and the basketball court. If we ever get to come back to Salt Lake City, we will definitely stay at this Residence Inn again, and we hope Josephine will still be there! Thanks for a great stay!
I am partial to Residence Inn since it is usually fairly nice and has the things I need (refrigerator, microwave, etc.) This one was very nice, eero9us sized room very nice bathroom and excellent free breakfast. We stayed to catch an a early flight out of SLC and the proximity gave us maximum sleep time!
