EXTRA
We propose two experiences in Salou:
1- A pleasant walk along the Jaume I promenade, the lively seafront of Salou. In addition to enjoying the sea breeze and the popular atmosphere that pervades it, you will be able to admire the numerous modernist buildings that adorn this important Salou thoroughfare with their intricate façades. Among them stand out the Voramar chalet and the Casa Bonet, the latter a work by the celebrated modernist architect Domènech Sugranyes i Gras, a disciple of Antoni Gaudí.
2- Visit the pier of Salou harbour. It dates from the nineteenth century and was built to shelter the fishermen's boats. Subsequently remodelled, it currently houses a sculpture by artist Ramon Ferran i Pagès entitled Monument to the Fisherman. The walk to the pier is very pleasant and, once there, it is worth seeing how this construction serves as a division between the beaches of Ponent and Llevant. In fact, judging by the number of people who approach both, it could be said that it separates the hustle and bustle from the calm.
As you can see, in Salou it is very easy to combine leisure and culture. And, best of all, without your budget getting out of hand. In Salou you can do a lot of free activities that will help you create unforgettable holiday memories. Book now and start enjoying your holidays in Salou with us!
