Brought back memories of our days long gone of camping. The unit was clean and nice with a queen bed. Everything on the inside appeared to be new. Staff was very friendly. Space was cramped so staying one night while visiting wine country was enough for us.
I bought a Groupon for one night at The Vintages that came with a tasting at Durant Vineyards at Red Ridge. We stayed in a very clean, later model Airstream - not a vintage trailer but that was okay with us! The weather was outstanding so we rode the bikes supplied by the resort around a bit, oohing and aahing at the vintage trailers, chatting with other "campers" and visiting the resort’s small sundry store for ice cream. Next, we slipped over to Durant Vineyards at Red Ridge for a tasting – only a few miles away - and then into McMinnville to lookie-loo, finally having tapas at La Rambla. It was my husband's birthday and I think it was the wonderful celebration; staying at The Vintages was the icing on his birthday cake and being able to sleep in “our” Airstream after a lovely day was so much fun :) I highly recommend checking out The Vintages and the surrounding area; for us, it was the perfect place to stay after the perfect outing.
What a blast to stay in a 1957 RV. Small subset of a larger RV community. Very much like hanging out with the Cleavers or on The Wonder Year’s set. Fun for couples or family. Great evening setting for fire rings. Centrally located for our wine tasting excursions in Willamette.
We love the vibe of the Vintage trailers in this trailer Resort. We ended up staying in an Airstream which had plenty of room along with sink refrigerator and delicious pour over coffee that we had never tried before. Each trailer is unique and so cute. You feel like you have stepped back in time. We also loved using the bikes that are in front of each trailer to take a ride around the park several times during our stay.
What a darling little spot to "camp" in wine country. We stayed overnight in one of their old Airstream trailers, what a fun experience. The trailer itself had been neatly updated, and was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed being able to BBQ our own dinner, and then have a glass of wine outside, and then riding their bikes around the campground and to the firepits. Such a fun way to escape the city and enjoy wine country. We will definitely be back! I do hope that the city/county can fix the walking bridge that goes from outside the campground to Dayton. It would have been nice to be able to walk to town.
The trailers are an absolutely adorable place to stay in the wine region. Beautifully refurbished and comfortable inside. Try to pick one that faces the field instead of further in to the park. The gift shop is full of goodies you might not be able to resist. Pool is nice on a hot night but it’s much nicer to just relax by the trailer and enjoy the views. Located near endless vineyards it’s a great spot to spend the night and relax between wine tastings.
My husband booked a surprise weekend getaway for us at The Vintages Trailer resort. He had never been to Oregon and I have always wanted to stay in a vintage trailer (hoping to purchase one some day). He finds the best vacation spots for us. We loved The Vintages from moment one. We stayed in a Shasta Airflyte on the field side of the resort and almost in the middle of the row. Perfect location. We could see the wineries and the mountain out our windows. Our spot was close enough that it was a quick walk to the clubhouse, yet far enough away that we didn't get any noise from the pool area. My husband took the provided bikes (you do not have to reserve them as the website says, they are already at your camper) down to the showers every morning while I used the wet bath shower in our camper. He's 6'1 so it was a tight squeeze in the camper bath. You can sit down while you shower but that is something you probably have to get used to. The showers and the restrooms in the clubhouse were very nice; clean and comfortable. As for the rest of the campers features, they provide most of what you could need. The fridge, freezer combo was big enough to store drinks and leftovers and you could store ice and microwave meals if you get tired of eating out (it does add up!). I think when we stay again we will eat more meals in the camper or on the patio. The bed was plenty comfortable and we turned off the air and opened the windows at night. We got good air flow so the camper remained comfortable. As for the other facilities and amenities: The general store had a nice selection of wine, gifts and munchies. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The pool was small but very popular with the guests. We were only there 2 1/2 days so using the pool wasn't high on our priorities list. The bikes mentioned above were fun but after a while were hard to pedal. Still we used them and saw plenty others doing so as well. The newly added fire pits were great. They are turned on at about 5:30 at night, and if you go early, you may have them all to yourself for a while. Overall I was very happy with the resort. It is cute fun and just a short drive away from great restaurants and wineries. We also took a drive down to Lincoln Beach and had lunch there one day. My only complaint is that there was still leftover food in our kitchen sink from the guests before and we were missing a panel on our screen and some bugs did get in. However, we will definitely stay again, too much fun not to!
We (3 adults) stayed one night in the 1963 Air Stream Overlander. We had a wonderful experience. The Vintages is conveniently located near McMinville which is a great little town to explore, as well as some fantastic wineries in the Willamette Valley. The bath house was recently remodeled and was a nice option instead of all trying to shower with the limited hot water in the trailer. We did not visit the clubhouse or use the pool, but they looked nice. I will say that the member of our group who slept on the futon did not find it to be very comfortable, but that's sort of to be expected.
This spot exceeded all expectations! We were passing through and needed a halfway point to catch our breath and relax for the night before hitting the road again and we picked The Vintages. It was even better then any review or picture can describe. So fun to just sit on your porch waving at people riding by on bikes or just circle the resort on your own bike (each trailer gets two bikes but there are extras available also at the general store for no extra charge) Trailer was perfect for me and my daughter, AC kept us cool when temperatures wanted to push into the 90’s, fridge was big enough for a few small meals and drinks, shower was very small (typical for a trailer) was fine for rinsing off after a swim but that’s about it-we were far too lazy to head to the clubhouse to shower but comfort in knowing there were hot showers for normal sized people available on site. Just when you think it can’t get any better, the sun goes down and the park is lit in gorgeous lighting. Sleep came so easy that night. The next morning we sat outside drinking the coffee and hot cocoa the resort provided and tried to motivate ourselves to checkout and hit the road. I do believe we finally checked out five minutes late because it was just that hard to leave. Have told all our friends about this fairytale spot. Lots of adult activities in the area but since I was traveling with my 11 year old, I was on the hunt for kid friendly stuff. Happy to find a huge indoor water park less then five minutes away and a movie theatre as well just down the street. My daughter asked if this could be our yearly mother daughter trip and I couldn’t say yes fast enough. This will be a trip that we will always look back on. Absolutely perfect.
The Vintages is an exceptional place to stay for a few nights. We rented one of the refurbished and high-end Airstreams for 2 adults and 2 kids. They think of everything to make your stay luxurious! Robes, slippers, comfy beds and linens, toiletries, delicious coffee, etc. the campers are beautifully decorated. The pool area was nice for the kids, plus laundry, external showers for a longer shower than the camper, close to awesome wineries, near McMinnville - a lovely small town w restaurants and shops, and the Vintages has their own general store w a good selection of items. They provided free retro bikes for getting around the campground too. This is a MUST stay if visiting the area! We will be back!
