Stayed here for a couple of nights when we were supposed to be going to Versailles. (That was closed due to a General Strike...) The hotel is comfortable, well appointed and very peaceful. The staff both on the front desk and the breakfast room were very friendly and helpful. The room was fine for a couple of nights and the bathroom area was very clean and well fitted out. It’s a bit odd being in the same physical space as the bedroom but not a problem if you’ve just shared the bed with the person in the shower. I can only assume that a twin room (if there is one) would be set out differently. Our corner room was ideal.
Stayed as I was there for business 15 minutes away. In the Cheveuse forrest, so you think you are out in the countryside. Staff was excellent - my flight was late and drove from CDG (took over an hour) and arrived late. Staff remained to help and also ensured a late table at their restaurant nearby. Room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Extremely quiet - great sleep. I am hoping to come back again and will definitely stay there. Fantastic value and lovely stay.
We stayed here for five nights to attend the Ryder Cup. The management could not have been more helpful, suggesting and booking restaurants nearby ( we also ate twice in the hotel restaurant about 100 metres down the road ) and our whole experience was superb.
Enjoyed staying here for one night - wish it had been more. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The room was spacious and had a bath tub - so welcome after a long journey and a lot of walking. The grounds are beautiful, the breakfast yummy, and staff friendly and helpful. We loved it and hope to return!
This manor from the 1800s has been beautifully refurbished into a modern and comfortable hotel. The owners are always around to help and speak good English. They even own a delicious restaurant up the road if you’re hungry during you’re stay, and don’t miss breakfast. I usually would grab a coffee and fresh croissant and be happy as a clam. Excellent gem in the middle of the countryside.
Lovely hotel in a quiet small village near Versailles. Friendly and courteous service, copious breakfast with homemade treats, clean and comfortable room and lovely grounds where you can relax in one of the 2 gazebos to sip an aperitif at the end of a long day spent in Versailles. The owner's daughter manages the family restaurant 200m from the hotel where you can enjoy a meal on the shaded terrace. Most convenient.
Nice cosy rooms, very friendly people, good breakfast, very quite. Very much recommended. I have been there for the second time and will be back next week. They even booked a table for me in a restaurant for dinner.
It was a wonderful stay here for a week. The staff were very courteous and the room interiors were a visual treat. We were served croissants everday for breakfast. They were just the best I have ever had.
This beautifully situated classic Manoir is spacious, exceptionally quiet and comfortable, but best of all is owned and run by the most friendly and helpful couple we have ever encountered in many years' travelling in France. They started with their restaurant across the road in the oldest house in this sleepy village, and then they established the Manoir Hotel. The rooms are large, quiet, and comfortable, modernised, and breakfast is in-house but dinner is in the nearby Restaurant. It is excellent, as one might expect. The bar is good, and there are sheltered outside armchair seating areas for social drinks. The pression beer is Leffe. Madame (who has fluent English) even brought breakfast forward at the week-end so that our group of eight could get to a Vintage car event in time as we were required to do on the Saturday, Nothing was too much trouble. They organised a taxi for us when the restaurant was closed on Sunday night, and recommended a suitable eatery 4km away. The shower and bath arrangement was typically French, but that is very minor.
We stopped overnight en route to our house in the Lot. It is a handsome building with very attractive grounds. Our room was very comfortable and imaginatively designed and tastefully furnished. For those with dogs, this hotel is perfect, because there is a lift that takes you direct from the car park to the floor on which your room is situated.
