The hotel is nice, very very cose to the center without the chaos of the center. Parking is available and breakfast included. The woman who welcomed us was very nice and useful with her advices about the city
We stayed for 1 night in order to visit the Christmas Markets. Pros: - Short walk to the old town (approx. 5 mins) and good value compared to accommodation within the walls - Friendly staff at reception and breakfast - Nice breakfast selection (incl. gluten free bread, bacon and scrambled eggs) - Free parking and WiFi Cons: - Rooms are basic and a little dated - No kettle in room (although tea and coffee available for a price in the common area) We would stay again if visiting Rothenburg!
Lovely welcoming hotel. Clean rooms, free wifi and parking at the back. Excellent value hot buffet breakfast. Great position and easy to find. Handy to walk and explore the town. All staff from checking in to leaving were really friendly and helpful.
This is a great location for a short stay to visit Rothenburg. It is just outsite the city center, and there is a parking place at the back. Very friendly staff. Dinner could be better. It is better fo go into town, there are a lot of little restaurants.
Stayed here for 1 night, room was spacious, very clean. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the walled city great locatIon. Parking is free and located behind the hotel. Our GPS took us to the wrong hotel not sure if it was off or the coordinates, just look for the Subway restaurant its close by. breakfast was very good served in a very lovely dining area . Would stay here again
Nice, 5 min walk from city saves you money + nice parking available. IEverything was perfect. Despite road behind windows, very calm fo sleep. Breakfast was ok Room and the rest also No problems with getting to the place
The hotel is near the highway exit and at walking distance from the "old town" of Rothenburg. The rooms are very clean rooms and we had a very roomy triple room and a very efficient Wi-Fi. We really enjoyed the breakfast which was really excellent and with a lot of choices. The Staff is incredible friendly, and always available to help and to respond to any request. I would certainly recommend this nice hotel for your visit to Rothenburg .
Stayed here 3 nights a week or so ago. Great location being only a couple of minutes walk from train station and old town. Staff was lovely and friendly (I believe this is a small, family owned and ran operation). Room itself was large but very dated and oddly designed, there was carpeted sections in the bathroom... Had the usual fridge, safe and tv. "Double" bed was actually two singles pushed together, seems to happen a lot in Europe. The bedding wasn't the best, pillows had seen better days and mattresses are very very firm. Wifi is extremely fast and reliable (they obviously haven't set up a proper system for managing it so you connect to it directly without the usual speed/login restrictions you'd find in any other hotel). Breakfast is included and its above average, a lot of options, well prepared and tasty to boot! The only real issues I had were services we believed to be available, weren't. The restaurant was closed during our stay. The in room documentation mentions a laundering service but when we asked we were told we would have to use the laundry service down the road. The in room documentation also mentioned cable (SKY) tv but when we tried to access these channels they came up as disconnected. Besides the minor issues we enjoyed our stay here and if your planning on actually staying in Rothenburg (honestly, I'd advise a day trip, there isn't much to do) then you can't go wrong with this hotel.
This is a lovely hotel near the "old town" of Rothenberg. Very convenient walk with good parking. Exceptionally clean rooms that are roomy by European standards. Nice, modern bathroom, safe and wifi. Breakfast was excellent and varied. Staff friendly. Would really like to have given them a 5 star except our room was SO hot it was difficult to sleep. Our room was facing the street so kind of noisy but that would have been ok. I know I'm a spoiled American so no complaints about the lack of AC but a ceiling fan would have made all the difference. On the positive side, we asked for a fan and it was immediately supplied. Hoping tonight will be better for sleeping. Would certainly recommend, .
Stayed here on our third and fourth nights of a 3-day cycling tour of the Romantic Road organised by Vélotours as the local agent for Freedom Treks UK. The hotel website describes it ad being located in a "quirky" neighbourhood; maybe the word doesn't translate quite the same from German, but being right on a main route to the motorway, facing an Open Car dealership with a petrol station on the other corner is NOT what I call "quirky". While we were given a very large room, the traffic noise made it very difficult to sleep. It was a good 10-minute walk to the centre of the Old City (hotel is outside the walls), but just 2 minutes to the train station. Nice evening meal (we were on a half-board basis) and the breakfast was good. Room was clean e nough, but strong mildew smell in the shower.
