Quite an ok hotel with a nice breakfast, spacious room and friendly staff. The bathroom looked outdated, had small flies and was not very clean. There is a small bar in the hotel, fine for a few beers.
Different kinds of unpleasant smells in the room, The hotel is in general a damaged hotel. It looks very very used. The breakfast is great. And the hotel is Places in a great spot NeXT to a park with a small lake.
Very good relatively small hotel in quiet area. Functional room and nice surroundings with a park area and only 10 minutes walk to centre of Roskilde. Excellent breakfast and good menu choices at reasonable prices.
Been in this hotel for 1 night in a Superior Room during a holiday trip around Denmark. We had 2 rooms and both had the same issue. The room picture on the website shows the condition when the hotel was new , probably decades ago. The rooms are worn out and the floor is almost gone . But the worst thing is the bathroom : the smell that comes from the drains is disgusting and you have to sleep with that in your nose all night long. I have never seen so much mold around the shower in any hotel I have been. And the WC is a nightmare , pictures speak for themselves. The best part is when you check out and leave Best for you not even stop here.
Full marks for cleanliness, services, food, location, room. Fully relaxing and hospitable environment. Loved the breakfast buffet esp - so many options: cereals, breads, cold cuts, juices, yogurts, sweets.
We stoped there on the way to Sweden for one night only. Although the staff at the reception was very kind, the room for three people was really small, without even space to go around the beds. the restaurant is extremely expensive in my opinion with a caeser salad rather full of bread. positive points: parking space and a good breakfast.
The hotel itself is a little worn but very clean and comfortable. The city centre is a 20 minute walk away, but I recommend staying for dinner at the hotel at least once! There is a very nice park just by the hotel, which used to be an old race course. Stirling Moss raced here! The exceptionally friendly and helpful staff earns this place an extra point!
This was a nice hotel. But in some respects it is worse than a cheap hotel. Here's how: 1. Cheap hotels usually offer tea and coffee making facilities. 2. Cheap hotels give you half-decent pillows / maybe a spare pillow might even be stored in the wardrobe. 3. Even cheap hotels don't have their beds facing away from the window (weird. Not sure I've ever seen that before) 4. Cheap hotels don't put small bottles of water in guest rooms but charge 30KR for them. 5. Even cheap hotels give you a mat to stand on after your shower. Thirty Krona - yes, that's what these bottles cost at Comwell. So the Comwell failed on all of the above -no kettle in regular guest rooms, the worst pillow (and just one of them) I have ever attempted to sleep on, weirdly positioned beds, rip-off water, not even a foot towel. But it is a nice hotel. We didn't eat in the restaurant because though the food in other Comwells has been good the prices are high. We would have preferred walking to a restaurant but there was nothing near, so we are in the bar. The bar area is really nice, and our food (burgers) was beautiful. Breakfast - it was a little difficult to judge as the breakfast room was so busy on the day we were there that things were running out. There seemed to be plenty of variety though the scrambled eggs were weird. So yes, nice hotel, it just feels like they are charging an awful lot and (as highlighted above) falling short in terms of their service levels. And yes, I would stay here again but it is nowhere near perfect. Nowhere near.
Had three rooms with my family, wrote hotel and asked for early checking two days before got an answer half an hour before we arrived, arranged all checking so keys would be ready when we arrived at night to make a quick trip to bed, unfortunately it was not done and we had to make the check in procedure again. The rooms are standard could do with an update soon, but for one night is fine. Breakfast is very big with lots of things to choose from.
ill use this hotel again, if i am in the area. all people friendly smiling and seems like they liked their job, breakfast good and enough off everything. .nothing bad to write, so difficult to write 200 letters.
