Located very centrally within Rosario's city. The main restaurants were 10 blocks away, which we walked comfortably there and back but could be too long for others. Taxi service is constant at the front door of the hotel. Hotel staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful with food suggestions and map locations. The hotel amenities were fustidiously clean, well kept and modern with a touch of the classic old architecture - very happy with our stay!!
This is a beautiful classic hotel with large rooms and bathrooms, comfortable beds, at a very affordable price. It is walking distance to most attractions. The front desk staff was very helpful. They have a special parking rate for the parking lot down the street. There is an absolutely superb restaurant as part of the hotel. Highly recommend.
We got an excellent last minute on-line deal from the Esplendor hotels web-site - 3 nights in a suite. Centrally located near the shopping centre, river and sights with olde worlde charm. The place to stay in Rosario.
I spent two nights here while in Rosario for a wedding. The building is lovely and very calming inside. My room was simple but clean and comfortable with good climate control. The staff members I encountered all tried to be helpful; some of them spoke more English than others (and my Spanish is very rudimentary). The location was within convenient walking distance of the Flag Memorial, Nuestra Senora del Rosario, and riverfront, and a number of dining options. I would certainly return here if I were in Rosario again.
It was like going back in time staying here. Wide sweeping staircases, large rooms with extremely high ceilings and doors. Comfortable beds with top quality linen. There are two swimming pools, one outside on the roof terrace, and the other in the basement. Friendly helpful staff on reception. Good location in the centre of town, also not far from the river and the memorial to the Argentina flag. Recommended!
I loved the experience with this hotel. The room was spacious, beautiful and the bed was really comfortable. It's well located, decorated and the services were good. It's not that cheap, but it worth the price to me.
All that worth to be a guest at Savoy is the building itself. Pretty new rooms inside a very traditional place. Unfortunalely, staff do not follow the level. Some are very educated but standard behaviour is not so friendly. Maybe they are not ready for foreign tourist but only for local ones or business men.
I've stayed in this hotel quite a few times because I like the boutique hotel feeling. I chose this hotel because it's centrally located and for the opportunity to workout and swim in the indoor pool. To my surprise, I only found out about the renovations of all areas when I read a sign in the elevator. These areas have been closed since May and there's no mention about it on the hotel website when you book your room. So for that, if I had know, I wouldn't have chosen this hotel. Another thing is, while they installed new windows in the rooms, the window in mine doesn't close properly due to lack of maintenance, so it was cold in my room. But the worst part was that the noise from the street made it really difficult for me to sleep. On Saturday night, it felt like I had a party inside of my room! In the morning, housekeeping carts were so loud that they woke me up. A couple seated next to be at breakfast was talking about the same issues. The use of handys by hotel staff at full blast on hallways also is not Sunday morning friendly. I used to be a fan of this hotel, but based on this stay, I doubt that I'll come back. I'm going back home with half a bag full of clean workout/swim clothes. I guess I have less laundry to do!!!
The Hotel is centraly located , near Rosario's peatonal San Martin , Cafe El Cairo , and a few blocks away from Parque Nacional a la Bandera (Monumento a la Bandera) and riverbank restaurants, cafes and Bars. Not to miss the Savoy Grand Café, located in the hotel Lobby. No doubt that if you choose this hotel, you'll have a great and pleasant stay.
My husband and I had the best experience at this hotel. We never write reviews but this was well worth it. It is a restored old building in central Rosario with super tall ceilings, comfy beds, excellent and attentive customer service and a pleasant breakfast included. It feels expensive and part of the old history of the town. We arrived at another hotel in town and hated it so changing to this hotel made all the difference in our experience in town. We most certainly will be coming back to this hotel the next time we are in town to visit family. Additionally they have a beautiful upstairs party/conference areas that would be great for a business event and or possibly if we want to renew our vows in Argentina. We loved this place. Book here if you want unique, elegant charmer with an old school feel and a modern cleaness. We loved our time here and the location.
