We stayed at Yale Manor last weekend while in town for an HWS Homecoming event. While we were hoping to stay closer to the school, we were pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to get to the manor. Just a quick trip around the lake took less than 15 minutes. The manor is a lovely old estate home that is charming. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the bathroom was newly renovated and very large. The inn was quiet and set back, so very relaxing. We had a view of the lake from our room, but guests should not mistake this for a lakefront property. However, just a quick stroll down the lane and we enjoyed the boat house and floating in the lake, as it was an especially warm fall day. Katherine and Philip are the caretakers and hosts, and could not have been more welcoming. They prepared a wonderful breakfast that was organic and fresh, and included local coffee, tea, cider and fresh fruit for the guests. The huevos ranchero's were tasty and we appreciated getting to know the other guests over breakfast. We will certainly stay here again.

My wife and I stole away here for a couple days late in the summer. Yale Manor is a very cool old house that is very nicely brought up to date with everything you could want. Refreshments and snacks were at the ready, and our room, like all of them, was big clean and comfortable. The property quiet and private with lots of shade and places to just chill. We cruised our bikes up and down Lake Rd., which was an easy peddle, then checked out the boat house and dock. As if the manor house wasn't enough, the boat house and brand-new dock put this place over the top. The boat house has everything you need to cocktail and grill, except running water. We ended up watching the sunset over the hills both nights, and had a nice fire on the beach. There is no shortage of dinner spots, but we highly recommend Kinder Fare in Geneva. We got steaks from the butcher up the road, veggies from a farm stand, and wine (and Vodka) locally for a wicked awesome dinner as well. The whole area we quiet and beautiful.

Thanks for your review - we always enjoy our HWS parents and students. So special. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and I appreciate you clarifying for future travelers the short walk to the lakefront boathouse. It's always good to know what you are getting into before you arrive. Phil and I look forward to your next trip to HWS. Take care, and see you soon!

Fabulous - our pleasure to host such a lovely time. Sorry about the billiard room - next time!! The house is a bit of a maze (AMAZE). How about a yurt in your future? Take care and hope to see you soon.
