Sadly we could only stay two nights at San Pietro but I would happily recommend it to any of my friends looking for a place to stay in Rome. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The rooms were well designed, clean and comfortable. While it is close to the Vatican, the tiny "Borgo" neighbourhood separates the hotel from the tourist crowd. We walked everywhere. And it turns out that my Italian friend's favourite restaurant is right across the street!
recently stayed here for 3 night while exploring Rome..very nice/modern rooms convenient (short walk) location to the Vatican, easy access to metro/public transportation, nice restaurants close by.. overall great value
We stayed overnight at San Pietro Boutique and if there were 5 more stars available...I would give it to them. The place was super clean. They were very accommodating. Thank you Sara for all the emails prior to our visit. If you like to walk you can see all the top attractions in Rome from here. Even the colosseum. We stopped at the restaurant across the street before heading to the port, to get on our cruise, and had the most amazing sandwich made out of pizza dough. Apparently it's their creation. You won't be sorry if you choose to stay here.
We were pleasantly surprised on our arrival to the San Pietro Boutique Rooms on Thursday 7th September. We were welcomed by Sara who checked us in and gave us some very helpful advice for our stay included what to book tickets for/ best areas to visit etc. Upon entering the room we loved the style of the apartments, perfect for us as a couple with chic open wardrobe - room very tidy, well kept and most importantly clean. The size was great for what we needed and Sara made it very aware that if we needed anything, all we had to do was ask. We stayed at the San Pietro Boutique Rooms for 4 nights, we found them to be a perfect location for us. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted, with a great selection of restaurants around the hotel with a very short walk to the sights of the Vatican or into the City. We got a bus to the Colosseum (which was the furthest tourist spot we visited) as it was about a 45 min walk, the public transport was conveniently situated by the hotel and easy to use. We decided to walk back instead with a stop of for lunch of the way so it didn't feel long at all. Upon leaving the apartment on Monday morning, Sara kindly arranged our private taxi back to the CIA airport with ease so we didn't have to worry about flagging down a white taxi on the day. It was 10 euros more than a normal taxi but definitely worth it so we didn't have to worry. Additional: We booked the apartments with breakfast included which I am pleased we did. On arrival Sara gave us vouchers for a restaurant around the corner called La Zan Zara which we really enjoyed. Breakfast included a pastry of choice each, coffee/tea and a glass of fresh orange. The restaurant itself with modern and busy with locals getting their morning coffee hit! As a young couple visiting Rome, this took the pressure off spending lots on breakfast before we started the day. Even if you haven't booked breakfast with your stay - I'd definitely suggesting visiting for a coffee anyway. We really enjoyed our trip and would highly recommended these boutique rooms.
The guesthouse is a lovely place located in the first floor of a beautiful building near the Vatican with well equipped and stylish furnished rooms which are also very clean. Diego and Francesca were very kind, friendly and welcoming. The guesthouse is located in an area where you can easily find restaurants and bars and it is in walking distance from all the major attractions in Rome.
This is six rooms in a converted apartment. Room is exactly as pictured but nicer. Very clean, with a good work desk, smartly designed. Beautiful new bath, great shower, high-performing air conditioning, wi-fi and refrigerator (not always guaranteed at this price!) Not a full-service hotel and not for the mobility-impaired - there are a few steps up to the elevator, and the room was on two levels (one step up/down into room and bath). Il Sorpasso restaurant across the street was a friendly, trendy little wine bar/bistro. It was absolutely packed but they squeezed me in - great food. Breakfast at the Zanzara bar was good and friendly - I didn't book breakfast through the hotel as it isn't really a savings over just ordering yourself. 5 mins walk from Vatican Library entrance, 10 to Museums, 5-8 to Ottaviano metro stop. Nice neighborhood - stroll along the Via Cola di Rienzo for a boulevard experience with (mostly) locals. Strongly recommend!
Very friendly and professional staff. Any thing you need they are there for you. Rooms are perfectly decorated and clean. Lots of nice restaurants within walking distance. Vatican City with all its glamour it is around the corner. I had a pleasant stay.
I stayed here for a long weekend with my mum and I cannot rave about it enough! Sara and Diego were so welcoming and extremely helpful in recommending some great places to eat and suggestions for getting around. The location was excellent - we walked everywhere and were really able to see some of the wonderful neighbourhoods in Rome. The little coffee shop opposite the hotel was great for morning coffee and makes the most wonderful croissants! Overall the room was so clean and tidy with all that you would need. I would, without hesitation, recommend San Pietro Boutique rooms to any of my friends and family and hope to be able to return sometime soon myself! Thank you to all of the team who made our stay one of the best holiday experiences in a very long time ... we can't stop talking about it!
Overall good value for the location and great service. When we first arrived, Diego immediately helped us carry our bags up the stairs and to our room. Sara helped us check in and gave a great overview of interesting places to see and restaurants to eat at with a map (personalized with numbers of their recommendations). The room was a good size and not having to worry about a key was also nice. They use a keypad system to enter the building and then another one to enter the area where the rooms are and your actual room. We did feel that we could hear a lot of what was going on in the hallway between the rooms compared to some of the other places we stayed, but it wasn't very bothersome. We had to leave very early for our flight on the last day and tried to be quiet but I'm sure we woke people up (sorry)! Compared to another place we stayed in Rome it was a bit larger in size. We would recommend this for anyone who wants somewhere that is walkable to the Vatican.
We spent 3 nights at San Pietro and cannot recommend it highly enough. Staff and owners are so friendly and helpful and the rooms are beautiful. Location is perfect. 'Zanzara' bar/restaurant just round the corner was great for drinks and apertivo in the evening and served lovely coffee and croissants for breakfast.
