This was my second time in Rome, but my first time staying in the Vatican area. Next time I'm in Rome, this is where I'm staying. The area is very quiet for the most part. The exception being our last night when the restaurant across the street was hosting a large party for a celebration of some sort. From my experience on the first night and what other reviews have stated, this seems to be exception, not the rule. The restaurants/cafes in the area are all very highly rated. We ate at a several of them and were never disappointed. St. Peter's is a short walk away, as is the Castel Sant' Angelo. The metro is a little further walk, but it is not difficult at all. The room itself is of typical size for Italy, but was very clean. Everything seems to be new. I thought the bed was very comfortable. Most hotel beds in Italy tend to be hard, and this one was no exception, but it was very much to my liking. I thought the pillows were also excellent. As other reviewers have stated, Sara is awesome. She could not have been more helpful and friendly. This is something I look for in every hotel I book. Even though I know she may have moved on by the next time I get to Italy, she is a big reason I'll be back to San Pietro Boutique Rooms.

Loved the staff, the location and mostly our comfortable room! We stayed here twice, second visit was even better if that's possible. Room was very clean, English TV available, coffee place close by - we felt right at home here. Stayed in a bigger hotel on past trip...this was much better. Every detail was perfect - contempory but welcoming - and we look forward to visiting again.

Our stay here was 5 star across the board. it was our first time in Rome and Sara provided us great information and showed us the direction on every place that we would like to visit and restaurants around the area. Its location is walking distance from everywhere. She also helped buy our tickets to vatican musuem to avoid the long line. Our room was really nice and clean. They provide a ride from the airport to the boutique rooms for a small fee. they dont offer breakfast. if we go back to Rome, we are definitely stay with them again!

This hotel was very close to the Vatican and sits on an adorable street with cafes and restaurants with great food, it is a perfect location I walked all over the city and it all seemed so close. a must stay in rome the price is very reasonable and the place is full of charm, they give you bottled water and endless amounts of espresso. loved this hotel, the doors are all coded and they give you a code and it opens the front door and the hotel door and your room door, it was very easy and efficient, the wifi was great too!!!

Decided to stay here instead of a hotel chain and so pleased we did. From before we arrived they have been so helpful with arrangements. The rooms themselves are some of the best we have stayed in anywhere and the staff have been so helpful. Will be booking again on our next trip to Rome.

I researched a lot of hotels and guesthouses in Rome, and it’s my opinion that you get a lot for your money here. I think the interior design at San Pietro is superior to hotels going at double the room rate, and I think it is well priced considering that the room is used purely as a base. My husband and I were only here for two nights and so we needed a central location. What with it being best to get to the Vatican early, this hotel is perfectly located just a 10 minute walk away. The neighbourhood is nice (Il Sorpasso, the bar/restaurant opposite, was wonderful at any time of day) and we could easily get around to all the sights on foot (though we did take a bus to the Colosseum). The room is a beautifully designed, minimalist space with a very comfy bed (firm), a great big window for natural light, and rich textures – wood, wrought iron and leather. The details are very considered – from the furniture, radiators and lighting, right down to the presentation of the toiletries, the bathroom bin and the toilet brush! Also, it’s probably worth noting that I have an annoyingly keen eye for dust, and this room was spotless. The service was great. I definitely recommend San Pietro and I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Sadly we could only stay two nights at San Pietro but I would happily recommend it to any of my friends looking for a place to stay in Rome. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The rooms were well designed, clean and comfortable. While it is close to the Vatican, the tiny "Borgo" neighbourhood separates the hotel from the tourist crowd. We walked everywhere. And it turns out that my Italian friend's favourite restaurant is right across the street!

recently stayed here for 3 night while exploring Rome..very nice/modern rooms convenient (short walk) location to the Vatican, easy access to metro/public transportation, nice restaurants close by.. overall great value

We stayed overnight at San Pietro Boutique and if there were 5 more stars available...I would give it to them. The place was super clean. They were very accommodating. Thank you Sara for all the emails prior to our visit. If you like to walk you can see all the top attractions in Rome from here. Even the colosseum. We stopped at the restaurant across the street before heading to the port, to get on our cruise, and had the most amazing sandwich made out of pizza dough. Apparently it's their creation. You won't be sorry if you choose to stay here.

We were pleasantly surprised on our arrival to the San Pietro Boutique Rooms on Thursday 7th September. We were welcomed by Sara who checked us in and gave us some very helpful advice for our stay included what to book tickets for/ best areas to visit etc. Upon entering the room we loved the style of the apartments, perfect for us as a couple with chic open wardrobe - room very tidy, well kept and most importantly clean. The size was great for what we needed and Sara made it very aware that if we needed anything, all we had to do was ask. We stayed at the San Pietro Boutique Rooms for 4 nights, we found them to be a perfect location for us. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted, with a great selection of restaurants around the hotel with a very short walk to the sights of the Vatican or into the City. We got a bus to the Colosseum (which was the furthest tourist spot we visited) as it was about a 45 min walk, the public transport was conveniently situated by the hotel and easy to use. We decided to walk back instead with a stop of for lunch of the way so it didn't feel long at all. Upon leaving the apartment on Monday morning, Sara kindly arranged our private taxi back to the CIA airport with ease so we didn't have to worry about flagging down a white taxi on the day. It was 10 euros more than a normal taxi but definitely worth it so we didn't have to worry. Additional: We booked the apartments with breakfast included which I am pleased we did. On arrival Sara gave us vouchers for a restaurant around the corner called La Zan Zara which we really enjoyed. Breakfast included a pastry of choice each, coffee/tea and a glass of fresh orange. The restaurant itself with modern and busy with locals getting their morning coffee hit! As a young couple visiting Rome, this took the pressure off spending lots on breakfast before we started the day. Even if you haven't booked breakfast with your stay - I'd definitely suggesting visiting for a coffee anyway. We really enjoyed our trip and would highly recommended these boutique rooms.
