The only good thing in this hotel is the staff . The location is not good and not safe at night. Also the hotel does not worth 3 stars. I. Fact i have been many times to 3 stars hotels and most of them were better. The breakfast very poor and breakfast room so small that you cannot move inside.
Clean hotel and nice, the staff could be more friendly. The room was ok, we didn't stay too much in it so good. The location is perfect, 2 min to Termini station wich is very very helpful. You can leave your bags at them before check in and after check out, that day.
this property was great to start your rome adventure, central station was down the street and the hop on hop off buses were right there also. quite neighborhood that had a awesome pizzeria that we ate at twice. they had outdoor markets in the area. the property had a descent breakfast buffett as well.
Location was good, beds were hard and room extremely small. Tiny balcony was a bonus and no kettle or fridge, breakfast was ok but would be good to have hot food aswell. Staff were friendly enough, no problems.
Although the location was quite good, the hotel staff were not very helpful when we asked to book our transfer back to the airport they were a bit put out and we had been told by our travel agent this would be no problem. There were three reception staff a women and two men, the older of the two men was very contrary, who literally snapped the Rome Taxes out of my Husbands hand on checkout, very rude. The beds were the worst beds I ever experienced in a hotel, could not get restful nights sleep with that added with the noise outside in the early hours. The restaurant is tiny very little hot food and if its busy be prepared to queue and wait. I'm back to Rome in Sept 2018 just not to the Windrose.
Lovely spot close to everything great base for site seeing rooms clean and tidy bit small but grand lovely breakfast and lovely friendly staff about 12 euro by taxi to any of the tourists spots can't fault it.
The hotel is about 6 minutes walk to Rome Termini station, which is great if you wish to go to other places in Italy,or if coming from the airport. It is easy to get around and to buy tickets, but must always validate your ticket in machine before boarding a train, otherwise big fine. It is also close to the big red bus for easy sightseeing around Rome. There are many places to eat and close to little shops for buying soft drinks etc. There is also a supermarket about 7 minutes walk. The rooms are small and the shower is very small, it is comfortable and clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is mostly cereal, toast and cold meats and boiled eggs. There are no tea/coffee facilities in room, there is a machine for drinks in the foyer. There is a nice area garden upstairs to sit and relax. Dorothy@
Stayed four nights at the Windrose Hotel with my cousin. We arrived (for the first time) Thursday late arvo on my birthday and we were greeted witha friendly and helpful front desk. They are soo cool and gave excellent directions and called tour company for us. Love their service. Had room balcony with twin beds & nice bathroom. Breakfast buffet was great. A great stay and easy location. We would love to stay again if we go back Rome. High recommond this hotel.
Good Bargain.Overall pleasant service, clean with pleasant rooms (not big but I have seen loads smaller). Interesting 50s decor= very clean and hotel is not shabby by any stretch of imagination. Lots of good advice from front desk. Lady was really helpful. A distance from sites, Just a good walk. We walked everywhere from here. Seemed to book parties. Lot of English there when we stayed. Usual continental breakfast with meats and cheese. Recommend it to friends and would stay again.. Great Italian family restaurant just across road from Hotel where we had dinner all 3 nights.
We stayed only one night before our flight home. The hotel is located within walking distance from Rome’s main railway station and most attractions. We arrived before check in time, but after a short wait, we were able to access our room. Our room was a good size and we had plenty of room for our bags. The bathroom was also a good size, but the shower recess was a little cosy. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. Breakfast was of a good standard. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. A pleasant stay.
