The hotel is about 6 minutes walk to Rome Termini station, which is great if you wish to go to other places in Italy,or if coming from the airport. It is easy to get around and to buy tickets, but must always validate your ticket in machine before boarding a train, otherwise big fine. It is also close to the big red bus for easy sightseeing around Rome. There are many places to eat and close to little shops for buying soft drinks etc. There is also a supermarket about 7 minutes walk. The rooms are small and the shower is very small, it is comfortable and clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is mostly cereal, toast and cold meats and boiled eggs. There are no tea/coffee facilities in room, there is a machine for drinks in the foyer. There is a nice area garden upstairs to sit and relax. Dorothy@

Stayed four nights at the Windrose Hotel with my cousin. We arrived (for the first time) Thursday late arvo on my birthday and we were greeted witha friendly and helpful front desk. They are soo cool and gave excellent directions and called tour company for us. Love their service. Had room balcony with twin beds & nice bathroom. Breakfast buffet was great. A great stay and easy location. We would love to stay again if we go back Rome. High recommond this hotel.

Good Bargain.Overall pleasant service, clean with pleasant rooms (not big but I have seen loads smaller). Interesting 50s decor= very clean and hotel is not shabby by any stretch of imagination. Lots of good advice from front desk. Lady was really helpful. A distance from sites, Just a good walk. We walked everywhere from here. Seemed to book parties. Lot of English there when we stayed. Usual continental breakfast with meats and cheese. Recommend it to friends and would stay again.. Great Italian family restaurant just across road from Hotel where we had dinner all 3 nights.

We stayed only one night before our flight home. The hotel is located within walking distance from Rome’s main railway station and most attractions. We arrived before check in time, but after a short wait, we were able to access our room. Our room was a good size and we had plenty of room for our bags. The bathroom was also a good size, but the shower recess was a little cosy. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. Breakfast was of a good standard. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. A pleasant stay.

We went on a 3 week vacation to Italy with friends and ended it with a 5 day stay in Rome. I planned the trip and wanted to find a location in Rome that would give us flexibility to see the city. Windrose fit that bill. Close to terminal center and with in long walking distance to many sites. Our first impression was made by Paulo at the front desk upon check in whe he provided us with many suggestions for our stay and even suggested a place to eat the fist night. He even went across the street to help us get a table. More on the restaurant in another review later. Along with the rest of the staff our stay was enjoyable. Rooms are not large by they are comfortable and well kept. Hotel is modern and has an outdoor patio to relax at. One of the features that we took a vantage of was the airport pick up and drop off limo. The hotel arranged to have us picked up at the airport the day we returned our car we hired for the trip. You have several ways to get to and from the airport to Rome, train, taxi, shuttle bus or limo. Keep in mind where you want to go in Rome. Only taxis and limos can get you to your hotel front door, bus and train get you to central station. Hotel Windrose got the 4 of us from the airport for 65€. 65 because the driver had to park and wait fro us to arrive at the location. It was only 55€ to get taken to the from our hotel. No transferring from taxi to station with our luggage then train or bus to airport. It was very convenient and stress less. Thank you Paulo for your help we will stay at Windrose again someday. I will start with the positives. The location was convenient to the Termini Roma about a 5 minute walk but far enough away that you didn’t feel like you were in the heart of the terminal. It was walking distance from everything except the Vatican but that was only 5 subway stops. The hotel is small. The rooms were small and seemed old. The bathroom was remodeled but had a tiny showers that you couldn’t turn around in. The sink had no counter space and the hair drier looked like a vacuum cleaner. The people were very nice though. There is WiFi but it was terrible. I don’t think I would go back. Also our last night there the ac wasn’t working. When I asked why they said the company switched it to heat for the winter. Obviously the heat/ac is not on the same system. There is a great restaurant nearby with homemade food called trattoria dell’omo.

We stayed here for four nights. Our room was small but very clean. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, letting us know where all the main attractions were and how to get around Rome. It was very close to the train station so we didn't have to take a cab. The breakfast was very good and I would recommend this hotel to others.

We stayed here for 5 nights and we really enjoyed it. It is conveniently located to the train station, bus stops, touristic places and shops. Our room was cleaned every day, our bed made and towels changed. Everyone at the front desk was very helpful. Thank you Windrose!

Good location, quite close to Termini and Metro stations. We stayed three nights in a quadruple room, which was rather compact for the four of us but was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful especially Ms Livia who accommodated to our requests for wine glasses and hot water for cup noodles at night. Recommended hotel to stay in Rome.

Hotel staff friendly and very helpful. My girl friends and I were in Rome for a once in a life time vacation. Wonderful location as a base for our adventures. The room was comfortable and clean. Recommend it for my next stay!
