Hotel Nizza Roma

3.0 out of 5.0

I've stayed in the Hotel Nizza four times now, and that alone says a lot. The hotel has a 24-hour open reception which is great when arriving or leaving very late or early. The staff is very nice and helpful, and the reception area is decorated with frequently changing artwork. The rooms are typical for a three-star hotel in Italy, not luxurious but there's everything you need. The rooms are clean and towels are changed on a daily basis. The area is fairly quiet and located close to Termini station, which is wonderful when you need to get to/from the airport or going on a trip out of town. There's a 15-minute walk to the Colosseum from the hotel and there are a lot of restaurants in the area.

The hotel Nizza is situated centrally in Rome & is within walking distance ( 15 to 30 mins) of some of the major tourist attractions. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean & tidy with the necessary amenities, traditional 3 star ambiance & comfort with central air conditioning, ( put to the test with external temperature of 35*) wifi connectivity, minibar & tv. There is no external noise to interrupt a good nights sleep. The breakfast is traditional "continental" but adequate with good coffee , The managers are extremely proficient & helpful and of the calibre found in a 5 star hotel. All together an overall old fashioned 3 star establishment overseen by 5 star managers.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is nicely set out, very clean and tidy, nice decor, not exactly the Ritz, but what do you want from a 3 star city break hotel? We had a problem on the first night with a broken ceiling light, it was switching itself on and off like constantly to the point were we felt that we were in a disco room! After talking with reception and the maintenance man, we were moved into a new nicer and larger room, but only temporarily for the night. We were moved to a lovely room the next day however without any fuss. They were great with us, they even moved our luggage into the new room for us whilst we were out. The breakfast is served downstairs and is fresh but pretty basic....bread, cold meat, cheese and pastries, but the coffee was great (as all Italian coffee is!) It's located around the corner from the Termini, without being too close or noisy, and you will also find the Omni and Hop on-Hop off bus stops around the corner too.

The hotel is in a good location, the staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are basic but good as was out everyday site seeing. Good selection of restaurants and bars in the area to eat and drink. The Washington cocktail bar has good service and waiters. Thanks Alex. The only problem we had with the hotel was we reported a few problems with the room on our first day we arrived and still had the same problems 5 days later when we left. The shutters on the window banging all night, the shower head tied up with string, water from the pipes in the bathroom and the TV not working.

Located 300 mtr from Roma termini..And in the center of Rome..20 minute walk to the Colosseum and also hop on hop off starts very near to the hotel. Excellent staff and receptionist, they speak English . Rooms are decent and ventilated. Breakfast although was a let down with very limited option. All in all a very nice place to stay if you want to have a budget stay and good fun .

The hotel has quite good location, the room was nice and clean, the staff was kind, nice and very friendly. By mistake I've booked room with 1 bed we asked for two but due to last arrival there was no way to change the room, for the next overnight they managed to separate the beds for our convenience. I should say that the shower was not OK, I've hardly managed to regulate the water temperature. The other minus is the breakfast really very basic and poor.

First room, probably fine except at night my friend tried to take a shower, it broke, and nothing we could do to stop the water..! And some plug broken, one of our door punshed,... Annoying! I talk to the receptionist to have a another room, he tried to keeping me on it, oh god, I shouted him, we wanted to take a shower with an acceptable bathroom! Finally I got an another one. Basic breakfast Never again

So... we were two couples that visited Rome in spring 2016. We stayed at this hothel and this is our review Pluses: realy friendly receptionists (we arrived to find that our two rooms were on different floors so we asked if we coud get two rooms on the same floor; the receptionists helpt us and we also got an room upgrade, just for one room); realy great location we walked to some of the attractions and when we wanted to be lazy, Termini Station was a 3 min walk away; plus, we took a tourbus and the end of the line was near the hotel; the bath in the hotel was realy clean. Minuses: the breakfast was terrible and there was a lot of noise from the street. One of the rooms (the one that was not upgrated) was realy small.

The hotel is very nice, and staff is kind and always there to help. Breakfast is delicious with all kinds of coffee and sweets. The bathroom is really pretty with good lightning (if you are into makeup you know what I'm talking about haha). 3 of them that work at the reception are really nice, but there is one rude guy...

Pluses: nice and friendly receptionists, who care about their guests; nice location (3 min walk to Termini, 15 min walk to Coliseum; we always walked to the city centre and back); hotel aims to be clean place (sheets and towels changed daily, which is not very environmentally friendly though) Minuses: not sound proof (you can hear everything from the street, corridor and next room; really a big minus as Italians speak loud), there is mould in the bathroom, probably in the areas cleaning lady doesn't see, but you see when having a shower (takes away all cleaning efforts), terrible breakfast (cheapest bread, one sort of watery ham etc; went there once, and were never back), bed felt short (i am around 1,75m)
